Basking in the Glow of the (not so) Creepy Clown -2/11-Pictures, Final Thoughts, PTR!

yeah, baby, 18 DAYS!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I am so jealous you get to go back so soon!

So you were a right turner on this day. AFTER you got "stuck". I hate that. Guess I have to side with Joe on this one.

:dance3: VERY fun jumping pictures. :dance3:

Pecos Bills. meh.

Hmmm, that is the question: Cranky or loony-toony???

George is creepy. I mean they could have tried to figure out a less creepy clown if they HAD to do a clown. Every time I see him, as creepy as he is, he just looks faded and dated in the picture, like he really needs a makeover.

But creepy faded George clearly loved you guys! Fun pool pics.

Great photo session! I think you had the same CM we did and she really did wonders I thought. I agree, for the quality and quantity, it was a great value and relatively painless.

I think his wild orange hair and star eyes made him a bit on the creepy looking side. And yes, he is quite faded. I wonder if they will refurb him soon? :confused3

I think we did have the same CM, I remember you describing her and she sounded just like ours - dark brown ponytail, tall and very personable!

I am getting more and more excited about the upcoming trip and less and less :scared1::scared1::scared1: as I tick things slooooowly off my list. Speaking of which, I have to get something done tonight yet...must be pro-active!

And one of those things is to get this done and the PTR started. That won't happen tonight, but soon!

You aren't a parade fan? Joe will do them with me, and kinda enjoy them, but he'd much rather just keep going. Usually we only get stuck when we need to get somewhere quickly.

Aren't those jumping pictures funny? I love the one with the reflection in the mirror, that's all Joe's handy work!

Cranky is sometimes easier to deal with than loony-toony, but I more often hope for loony-toony, as a silly, laughing child is much easier for other people to tolerate than a crying one!

ooh, so many questions left to be answered....

how long do we have to wait for the answers?

Ditto! I want to know the same thing!

Henry's picture on the monorail is absolutely adorable.

And, I am so glad I didn't encounter crowds like that. Oh - wait - yes I did. On my last day. :scared1:

Ack A cliff hanger!:rotfl:

The photo session pics are fabulous!!!!:goodvibes

The last day :sad1: but you had a great day. Hard to believe the crowd at MK when earlier in the week it was soooo empty.

One thing I meant to mention above was that my Mom called me today....

from the Nemo show at AK!!!!!!!!!!!

I was instantly jealous.

She and her boyfriend, and their friends (the husband of the friends works at Disney, so yes-they all got in free...jealous again!) had already gotten FOTLK, the Safari, lunch at Flame Tree and one of the animal trails done--and it was only 1:30!

I spoke to her again tonight and she said they had an awesome time, she loved AK and couldn't get over how it felt like a whole different world-she forgot she was in Florida!

I'm so happy that she is lovin' Disney and getting hooked. More than once I have suggested she get a part-time job there...:rolleyes1 :teeth:

That is fantastic! It makes me happy to hear about women who have these great sort-of second acts in life. It fills me with hope about getting older, that's for sure. So glad that she's enjoying herself so much...and turning into a Disney fan!

You are even closer than I am! I bet you are dancing in your chair!!!

The Boardwalk is awesome, I just love that resort and everything about it! I am so thankful we were able to stay there, and I can't wait to see it again so soon!

Oh that indecisiveness at this age. It's so fun, isn't it? :headache:

And I will read your TR all about those three things with a big smile on my face knowing you are accomplishing several of your Disney Bucket List items!

The Boardwalk is such a wonderful resort, you will love it! I took so many pictures of the view over from the Beach Club, it's ridiculous. Nothing could quite capture it's beauty.

And eating breakfast on the beach in a sand chair was a GREAT way to start the morning. It could easily be followed up by a stroll over to Epcot, or hopping on the boat over to DHS. :cloud9:

Thank you on the compliment on the pictures. We were very pleased! She got just what I wanted and I had a few I really liked to choose the prints from.

I am, in fact, right now...dancing in my chair. Ok, maybe swinging my feet around...but that might because I'm only five feet tall and if I sit all the way back in most chairs, my feet don't touch the ground! :rotfl2:

Thanks for all the pics of the railroad. Had no idea it was that interesting. I bet Max will like it. And people doubt the number of things there are to do at Disney with little kids! :confused3 I know there is no way we'll fit in everything I would like to do...but that's fine because I know that just means another trip...

I am also a HUGE fan of the Contemporary. It truly is my dream resort and someday that dream will be realized. I've wanted to stay there since I was a kid and actually walking through the place last February just confirmed that for me. Oh, well, at least we're eating there twice. :lmao:

And speaking of AKL, that's my other dream resort. If only we didn't have to go at the busiest and most expensive times of the year. :sad2: Oh, well.

Can't wait to hear how this all ends!

Too cute!
He's a seasoned veteran now. :thumbsup2

Bella enjoyed all the pictures of "Heny"

Aw, that's so cute! Henry loves to see pictures of Brooklynn and Bella too!

ooh, so many questions left to be answered....

how long do we have to wait for the answers?

Well...I could be mean....

;)

...probably later today, Henry has a playdate, so Mommy has free time! :hyper:

Ditto! I want to know the same thing!

Henry's picture on the monorail is absolutely adorable.

And, I am so glad I didn't encounter crowds like that. Oh - wait - yes I did. On my last day. :scared1:

Aren't those monorail pics precious? It was such a sweet moment when he climbed up there and that guy and gal welcomed him in. He was so happy to be riding the monorail! (Which is bizarre, because we ride the trains here all.the.time...:confused3 )

I couldn't believe the crowds! There was a line for the train!

Ack A cliff hanger!:rotfl:

The photo session pics are fabulous!!!!:goodvibes

The last day :sad1: but you had a great day. Hard to believe the crowd at MK when earlier inteh week it was soooo empty.

Thank you! The photo session was a lot of fun, and a great way to get those 3 year pictures DONE.

The last day always stinks. We usually do not have our return trip on the books, but at least I know we will be back--the helps lessen the pain. Thank you DVC.

I am so happy for my Mom! She has been single, just dating various guys - a couple were more serious - for the past 14 years. Her current boyfriend, who she has known since before I was BORN, is the first one I have ever seen her so, so, so happy with. It's beautiful to see her so happy!!!! And in the past 10 years, she has totally started a second life. She's in her 60's now and it's like she lost 20 years! I love it, I'm excited for what her next few years hold-moving and possibly a wedding! :lovestruc I truly hope it all works out for her, she deserves it!

Your "dancing in your chair" comments made me laugh out loud!!!! :lmao: If we had been able to meet our picture would have been another "Brook is a giant" ones! :rotfl2:

The railroad is a great ride! It has a nice little soundtrack with is and some various sites along the way. The breeze feels like heaven on a hot day. ;) I bet Max would LOVE it. It's a major highlight for Henry, we always watch the engine a bit too, since it's a steam engine, it's pretty exciting stuff for the little man. There are some great YouTube videos of the train too! And people will be awed at how much you can do with Max. We took H at 14 months and there was a TON he could already to!!

I do remember your excitement over the time you had the CR Tower booked -- also my dream! :cloud9: BLT will do though. ::yes:: I am very excited to walk into the tower everyday, shop at the shops, and know this is MY home for the week! You will get there!!!

Too cute!
He's a seasoned veteran now. :thumbsup2

He climbed right up there like a pro! It was very sweet.

Brooke,

Just wanted to tell you I have been enjoying your trip report so much! Henry is such a cutie. We will be going this September/October and DS will be just about Henry's age when we go (he'll turn 3 in Nov.) So I have been so interested to see how Henry did. (Our DD turned three at Disney in 2007, but she was much more mature than Jamie is.) Unfortunately I don't think he'll be big enough to ride Soarin' or Test Track because he is a peanut. Do you happen to know if they have Baby Swap?

Anyway, thanks again for a great TR, I look forward to reading more!
Marce

Wow... Busy, busy! You really are trying to crank the rest of this report out before leaving in how many days?? We have 15!!:banana:

I ate at Pecos Bills for the first time in January and LOVED that taco salad. We'll definitely be back there in a couple weeks. :thumbsup2

Great photo session... We'll have to add that to our to-do list one of these trips.

Can't wait to hear about the BLT tour.

Agggg, a cliffhanger!!! popcorn::

Henry was too cute just plopping up there on that monorail seat and making friends :goodvibes

Gosh Brook, you've been busy with updates! I'm sooo behind, going back to read now because I just know there'll be super cute Henry pics waiting!:goodvibes

Oh.....my lovely BLT:cloud9: You will SOOOO LOVE it:cool1:
Cant wait read your report on your tour:lovestruc

Your time in the MK looks like our first and last day at MK when we were there this past May. The days inbetween were fine, but that Sat coming and going were CRAZY! I cant believe its been years since you have eaten at Pecos Bills! We eat there every trip and I always get the taco salad:cloud9:
Yummy---and I love that you get to put your own toppings in it!

I love the pictures of Henry on the monorail....too cute! Alexa loves riding the monorail and especially on our last trip when we stayed at BLT. It is so nice and convienent:thumbsup2

Hi Marce! Thank you for reading and posting! ::welcome::

3 years old is a very sweet and magical time at WDW, it was so much fun to watch Henry's eyes light up with everything!!

And yes, both Soarin' and Test Track have Baby Swap, so you can use the FP/Baby Swap combo for it. :thumbsup2 Test Track also has a single riders line which can be handy and quick.

Wow... Busy, busy! You really are trying to crank the rest of this report out before leaving in how many days?? We have 15!!:banana:

I am! I've been pushing to get this done so I can start a PTR quickly before we go too. The PTR truly helps me organize my trip, I'm feeling a bit lost without one started.

The taco salad was delish! I am not a big fan of cheese or sour cream, so ordering it plain and loading it up how I like was very appealing to me.

Agggg, a cliffhanger!!! popcorn::

Henry was too cute just plopping up there on that monorail seat and making friends :goodvibes

Weren't those pictures sweet? He was so funny. And the people sitting next to him were just lovin' it!

Gosh Brook, you've been busy with updates! I'm sooo behind, going back to read now because I just know there'll be super cute Henry pics waiting!:goodvibes

Hey you! Welcome back!!!! How was the trip?

And yes, I've been busy!!! Really trying to get this TR done so I can start the PTR - we leave in just 17 days. :hyper:

Oh.....my lovely BLT:cloud9: You will SOOOO LOVE it:cool1:

I couldn't believe the difference in the crowds between days at MK! Everything, just days earlier, were walk-ons. Those EMH's and weekends really do pump up the crowds it seems.

We usually just hit CHH and Casey's at MK, but Peco's Bills for that taco salad is going to have work it's way in more often. It was yummy!!

I am really looking forward to being on the monorail - Henry is going to LOVE that it goes through the CR and we'll get to see it so often. It's going to be so handy that we don't have to fold up the stroller all the time. :cloud9:

I love cliffhangers. I really hope he was a sweet boy for the tour.

Henry's pictures on the monorail are sooo cute. Sounds like he's going to be outgoing and make friends everywhere he goes.

I've never had the taco salad but now I really want to try one. The family loves Pecos Bills, we have to burger lovers so we eat there most trips.

It was really funny when Henry just climbed right up between two strangers - he's normally a timid kid! But everyone thought it was very sweet--and he was well behaved for the short ride. :goodvibes

I would recommend that taco salad! I loved how I could add my own toppings, so it has exactly how much you like of each thing. If we eat there again, I would get it in a heartbeat.

ETA - I just saw your TR link! :headache::headache: I am going to head over and will catch up ASAP!

How fun to take a little dip into MK. Pecos Bill and the railroad?! What a fun way to spend your time. :)

We accidentally got off at the BLT stop on our last family trip and I had no idea about those locked doors! Thankfully we were able to get through with other guests. ;)

Hey you! Welcome back!!!! How was the trip?

And yes, I've been busy!!! Really trying to get this TR done so I can start the PTR - we leave in just 17 days. :hyper:

Thanks Brook!:goodvibes Our trip was incredible, how could it not be when I was in my most favorite place in all the world?:thumbsup2 And I thought of you too...we were all talking the first night and I asked each of my girls (and DH) what their top 3 things to do at park would be. Stole that idea from your PTR!:thumbsup2

Ok, I'm semi caught up here. So far, love your laid back no plan Epcot day! Looks like you had a fab time although it's pretty weird how Henry could be tall enough for Soarin' at the entrance but not at the actual ride?:confused3 I would've been like "think tall, Henry, think tall!" Glad you made it on though, Soarin' is such a wonderful ride!:goodvibes

Love this sweet pic of Henry on the boardwalk!

Girl, I can't believe you won a photo session!! Way to go!!:thumbsup2 I'd have been thrilled too. How wonderful!:goodvibes

Ok Brook, that clown slide has got TO GO! Seriously, it's giving me the heebie-jeebies! And this pic reminds me of something from The Exorcist or something. Even Henry wanted to get away by requesting the kiddie pool instead:laughing::

Thankfully, you posted this adorable Henry pic to wipe out the scary clown one, this is too precious:

OMG, I love, love, love all of your photo session pics! That girl did an amazing job, you all look great! Henry looks too adorable, what a cutie.:goodvibes

Looks like you had a nice little time at the MK before your BLT tour too. I keep meaning to ride the train there and yet I never do. Why is that?:confused3 I'm going to do it next trip! I hope the tour went well and Henry was cooperative! I too love the look of the CR but DH absolutely hates it. But he did like the looks of the BLT so maybe. Who knows!

Awww, how sweet that Henry sat between those people! They looked like they enjoyed him too.:goodvibes The monorail is awesome, it's like a ride in itself so we always make it a point to ride it (we actually rode the tronorail last week!!!)

Whew, I'm caught up! Yeah! And you're leaving in what, 18 days already? So cool! Are you going to do the live update thing again? It was so fun!:goodvibes
