Basking in the Glow of the (not so) Creepy Clown -2/11-Pictures, Final Thoughts, PTR!

Hello, hi and welcome to my trip report!

Are you ready for a fun ride through eight days at the World, basking in the glow of a (not so) creepy clown at the Boardwalk Villas?

Really, he's not THAT creepy.

Give him a chance.

George is a nice guy. Really, truly.



Okay, sooooo his eyes are a little freaky - and yes, they do glow at night, which makes them even stranger...

But! When you coming flying out of his mouth, you too will realize he's a keeper. Plus the rest of the resort is irresistible.

And there are two quiet pools.

Without clowns.




I digress...
In this trip report we will explore the Boardwalk, a few restaurants, visit each park (some more than once) and DTD. I haven't a clue what my total picture count is for the trip, but I know one day alone I took over 600...! So get ready for lots of pictures, one Mommy Meltdown and some great pixie dust along the way!

But...before we go on our trip...

someone turned 3 years old!

For all of you who have followed me, or read my PTR, you know the day before we left Henry turned 3 years old. Joe had to work, but Henry and I made it a fun day and hit up the Central Park Zoo. Can you indulge this Momma for a few moments while I share some pics?

Back at home we ordered pizza, Henry's request. When it came time to sing, we put Grammy and Poppa on Skype at the table and my Mom on the cell phone. Grammy and Poppa also got to watch Henry open his presents. Gotta love technology!

"Henry, how old are you?" He JUST learned how to do that days before his birthday!

You've only seen more sprinkles on a cake over on Jackie's (Charleston Princess) report!

Our gift to him - a Toy Story View Master/binoculars. Plus, you know, the whole Disney World thing.

One of the presents from Grammy and Poppa. It's a Duplo Firehouse, he was sooooooooooo excited, he was dancing and shouting.

And I just have to include this one so you can get a glimpse of Henry's personality. Earlier in the day I had gotten a pedicure...he insisted on wearing the paper slippers! The leaf he is holding is from the garden, which was a gift to me.

It was a wonderful day, and sure made that last day before Disney FLY right by.

Next up: Let's go to Disney World!

Brook, ive read all your trip reports and your pre trip report for this tr. I have a serious lurking problem and am bad for quoting your TRs are real life leaving my fiance confused saying "Juan said what?!" and I answer baa and go on my way lol.

Lovely pictures of Henry's birthday. It sounds like a wonderful day and there are some great pictures of him at the zoo. Do those binoculars really work? They will be great for a trip to your DVC home resort.

I'm ready for this report to add to the fun as we ride out our time until our October 15th flight to WDW. Seeing the few Halloween items they had at the Disney Stores on the Atlanta trip this weekend made us really ready to see Halloween in Magic Kingdom again!
