Base ticket vs Hopper question

Tried searching for this, but didn't see anything.

We usually do park hopper tics, but this trip we are looking to save some money and we are thinking 5 days in the parks.

At UT the price for 5 day park hopper tics is $226 more than 6 day base tics (for 4 people).

If we still only want to do 5 days in the parks could we effectively "park hop" one day by using our 6th day base tic on a day when we had already used one of our park days to enter another park?

Does it work this way? If so, the $226 savings might be worth it for one day where we can hit two parks as the difference between a 5 day base and 6 day base right now is only $32.

NOPE.

That's why they sell the park hopper. Your 6-day ticket is NOT 6 separate tickets or 6 separate entries. It's ONE ticket with 6 DAYS on it and it can only be used once a day for 6 days.

Unfortunately that is not allowed.

For theme park tickets, days are that: calendar days. They're not entries.

For water park tickets, they are entries.

I'd suggest just the base tickets and save the money. Use the extra day to go back to a park where there was a lot of things you want to experience again, or a park in which you feel as if you didn't get enough time in to really enjoy.
