Bare Minerals users, some questions

I got some for Christmas and like it! I too have sensitve skin. I forgot about the QVC demonstrations yesterday, but I have watched the clips online about application and all. Can't believe I forgot to watch yesterday!

Okay, sorry OP.....but I just have a couple questions for everyone. My esthetician recommended I try these products, I am a current Lancome user. My question is, if I buy the Kit (off bareminerals.com) will the foundations be sample size or full size? I'm already nervous about buying my makeup off the internet w/o matching my shade and trying the stuff first...so I guess I'm trying to make sure I'm getting something I can use not just sample for $60 + $10 S&H. HELP?

You'll get 2 sample size foundations plus brushes. The brushes are really the key (IMO) to the whole "system" and are quite procy themselves.

I have a regular size foundation that I got when I started this thread and there is still pleanty left. I would expect it to last me until the end of July. So what's that 7 months. I would expect you'd get a good 3 months out of the two sample sizes. plus you'll get the mineral veil and warmth (which I use as a blush/bronzer and probablly have enough for another year!)

They do sell the started kit at Sephoria so if you have one of those nearby you can get w/out s&h.

They are not really "sample" sizes as much as they are smaller than the foundation you buy in the store. The infomercial foundation containers are the same size as the regular blush containers. You could use those jars for several months, no problem.

Like the other poster said, you can pick up the infomercial kit at Sephora and Ulta, if you have any of those near you. Be sure to know exactly what comes in the infomercial kit because sometimes these kits don't have as much. Also, you want to be sure whatever kit you get has the DVD with it because it is really helpful with application.

Please, if you have any questions, PM me. Or you can visit my forum at forums.delphiforums.com/bareescentuals. Don't get discouraged because there is a learning curve when you start using the products.

I ordered the starter kit from BE and in two or three months (I can't remember)they send you two more foundations and a Mineral Veil. I have watched the infomercial on TV and thought that I use more than they do, but maybe not. Anyways, I probably have close to 1/2 left from my origional kit, and I use it everyday. I just got on BE's website and postponed my next shipment several months further on out. You can do that.

I must say that I absolutely love BE. I was very skeptical, not wanting to spend that kind of money on something that I couldn't try first. But let me tell you, I am very pleased with the product!!!

We do not have either of those stores close. The closest place I could find was St Louis, we live 1 hour N of Kansas City....that's quite a drive for make-up. Believe me, a friend and I have thought about it! I will try to see if I can catch it on TV this weekend, before I make a final decision.

Thanks everyone!

wdwmom2, if you postpone your kit.....are you still paying the 39.95 bimonthly (or whatever it is) regardless?

Besides my origional purchase, they have only charged me $39.98 once. It coinsided with my replacement shipment. So I am assuming (I know, never assume ;) ) that I will not be billed again until my next shipment. Good question!!! If they bill me without shipping a product, I think that I will buy my BE somewhere else!!!! I don't want to pay money just to be in the "Club".

Here's a website I found off of cruise critic thread that also sells BE. http://www.colorfulsprinkles.com/ Apparently if you put shipBE in the coupon area, the shipping is free. Or at least that is what one poster said!!!

I bought my first set of BE at a mall in St. Louis...I loved it.....and ordered again from Medspa....The prices was the same, but they offer free shipping and handling and there was no tax....so that was a savings over qvc. I have also ordered the trial kit from qvc which is a good deal....The brush alone is worth it....
