Bare Escentuals lovers, here's a sale!!! Read post #140

Oh my God...I just orderd $62.00 worth...got the complexion perfection kit and the clear radiance multi tasker. I've used Clinique for over 15 years and am literally shaking about this. I've seen the commercials for some time now and have been curious but becasue of cost I've kind of shyed away. I hope you guys are right and I love this stuff :cool1: Please someone reassure me right now :teeth: I'm always scared to try new things...especially since I did it online and have never been in a store to try this stuff
Okay, I'm rambling now...tell me to hush :rotfl:

I'm thinking Warmth may be a little much for me this winter, so wanted to try something pinker. I think I'll try the Clear Radiance. The sales assistant told me that the Warmth should last me for 3 years since I didn't need to use much! It is hard to imagine getting the nice results I see from using next to nothing.

Hugs--I walked out of the store with nearly $120--three pots of powder and 2 brushes. I never spend that much on makeup! I did want to try it first and was lucky I had a store in driving distance (but it isn't close at all). The major problem people seem to have is using too much. You just use the tiniest amount. I actually used a razor blade to remove only 2 rows of the sealing tape over the sprinkle holes; for the warmth I only uncovered 2 holes. It will really look like you aren't putting anything on at all, but you will be wowed. I think the kits have 2 foundation colors that you can mix to get a great skin match also.

Thanks Jackaroo...I just needed someone to calm me down a little. <big deep breath> We leave for Disney in 11 days and I was looking for something not so heavy to wear. I am hoping this fits the bill. Something to make me look not so "naked" but not heavy/oily. Wish me luck :goodvibes

I will NEVER go back to liquids or creams again!!!!
I've been wanting to try B.M. for a while, but the closest place I could find a retailer to try it out was in New Orleans. We had planned to spend the day there and go by the store but that won't be happening now :(.
The other night I saw a kit similar to this on TV for the same price, but it didn't include the cleanser. I almost ordered it that night. This kit seems so much better, and the 20% off is great!! I can't wait for it to come in, but I'm scared I won't like it. I have REALLY high expectations for it after reading numerous threads on the boards about it.

The starter kit with the 3 brushes, 2 foundations, warmth and the cleanser is such a great deal, especially when ordering from the Medispa site....It is $60 but when they run the 20% off sale ,....it comes to 48.00.....I spent that on my first set of brushes at the retail store. I just purchased two pots of foundation. I mix the two lightest colors....I usually dont order the mineral veil as I think any powder to set the make up does the same thing....I love the kabuki brush....gives great coverage.

I ordered the starter kit with the two lightest colors. Is it difficult to mix them?

I had a large pot from a previous purchase of BE that I mixed the two colors in....If that isnt an option....I would take the lid of one of the small pots, take the small concealer brush and use the tip to place a small amount of each shade in the pot lid....then use the concealer brush for red spots, under eye discoloration...ect...then use the kabuki for application all over....the more you smooth with the kabuki the better....I use the med brush to apply the warmth to the cheek area....and then dust the mineral veil with the kabuki.

OK, I have several items on my wish list at medi-spastore, eyeliner, eyeliner brush, and tinted Mineral Veil(I think this sounds wonderful, I love the regular Mineral Veil). When payday comes Friday, I will place my order!!!! Who knows, I may add a few things to that list in the meantime. Better to get it while it is on sale ;) !!!!!!!

I just bought the foundation and concealer from QVC not too long ago, and I really like it. My question is, what do you use on top of the loose foundation? Is that with the mineral veil is for?

I use the Mineral Veil once I have applied the foundation, blush, and eye shadow. I use the Kabuki brush and apply the Mineral Veil all over my face. It just sort of ties everything together and gives a great finishing touch.

I have been wanting to try this product for a LONG time and you ladies just pushed me over the edge and I ordered it!

Thanks for your input!!!

I must be looking in the wrong place. Can someone point me to the starter kit, please.

Nevermind I found it

I have a few of the liner shadows, they are really dark. I usually end up using whichever glimmer or glimpse I use in my crease as the liner.

Thanks for the info! I'll have to look into them next time I go to their store in Orlando.

I am very lucky and have an Ulta store very near me. I went and tried it. It looked so nice and even people in the store noticed. Then came the problem.

Has anyone else had an allergic reaction? I noticed that the "fair" which is what I need to use...has zinc in it. You would not believe how red and itchy I got.

Just curious if anyone else has been allergic? I know my skin is sensitive but goodness!

Go to the Medispa website and go to BE, then I think there is a link to the kits....
My dd lives in a city that has a BE store....I love going in there but I still order from the web as there is no sales tax...I think it pertains if the business has not storees in your area...I am not sure where the Medispa site is based out of. I figure it saves a little and I dont think the store ever has a sale on the product.

I am considering it also. I too used Clinic for about 15 years and am ready for a change.

We have a Sephora store near me (I had never been there before) and they carry it for the $60 starter kit. I looked the other day, but didn't really have time to shop.

The 20% off is tempting, but I wonder if I should try it in the store where they can tell me how to use it the right way. Will they try some samples out on you?

I missed this thread until today. I started using it a few months ago, I bought some samples off e-bay. I love it. I will never do liquid again. I have red cheeks, and the woman whose e-bay store I bought from carries another mineral line too, and they have a green powder for red, and it makes it dissappear!!!!!!!! I love it. If anyone wants to try some teeny tiny samples before they buy the big containers or wants empty sifter pots, this woman gives great service, her site is www.naturallyflawless.com.
