I've been using BE for less than a year, and so far DH loves it!

I'm getting braver about what I experiment with too....

The starter kit that I ordered from Medispa had a dvd in it that gave a step by step directions as to how to apply all of the makeup....I learned more from that than the salesgirl that helped me with my first purchase in their store.
Also, the stores will give you a demo with the product if you want to see how it is done, feel how it feels on the face, ect.....I didnt feel obigated to buy.

I bought BE when I was out in Boston and fell in love with it. When I came back home (very dry climate)it didn't feel and look the same. Is there something to help with this problem?

I always moistureized very well after washing my face....let it dry and then apply.....It doesnt go on dry skin very well...

It's been my experience that when it doesn't look right you haven't applied it correctly.

I took the plung tonight while shopping and stopped in Sephora and got the light skin kit. I wanted some help with in in the store so I did that instead of online.

So far I am really please with it.

Thanks for the recomendation. I can't wait to try it myself tmw morning. :goodvibes

True or Clear Radiance. They are similar in color, true is a bit more shimmery then clear radiance. I use clear radiance for work and true for when I go out.
I'm also very light skinned (number 1) and I like Glee for my blush. It looks really dark and mauve-y in the jar. When you put it on, it's not dark and just looks healthy.

Anyone watch BE on QVC last night?? I purchased the Baby Grand 7 piece color collection and the Finished Line eyelining kit. Can't wait to get them!!!

I ordered the 'try me' because until I get my make under next month- I'm not positive that I'm the foundation color that I've been told I was.

I also ordered both sets of the customer glimmers- I seem to be experimenting more with eye colors lately.....

Let me know how you like the Finished Line kit. I had it on waitlist from the anniversary show- but got tired of waiting for it and ended up cancelling it.

I've gone in to the BE store at my local mall several times. Unfortunately, the product just isn't able to cover the two little brown spots (hormones!) I have on each cheek. I thought maybe it was inexperienced sales people, but I went back when their trainers visited the store and we still couldn't get them covered. I don't wear much liquid foundation to cover them, so I was a little surprised BE couldn't do it. I do like the way it looked on the rest of my face though.

Go to the Medispa website and go to BE, then I think there is a link to the kits....
My dd lives in a city that has a BE store....I love going in there but I still order from the web as there is no sales tax...I think it pertains if the business has not storees in your area...I am not sure where the Medispa site is based out of. I figure it saves a little and I dont think the store ever has a sale on the product.

Medi Spa is just an online retailer that sells BE. BE only sells the infomercial kit online at www.buybareminerals.com. The rest of their line is available at select online outlets, their boutiques, Ulta, Sephora and some Nordstrom stores.

I ordered the starter kit with the two lightest colors. Is it difficult to mix them?

I'm kind of jumping in late here but I just started looking into this stuff. I went to a store yesterday and they said I should use the fairly light foundation or even the fair (which is the lightest color) as winter comes. The kits seem to only come with fairly light and light which is the 2nd and 3rd colors going from light to dark. If you call them can they customize it?

late here too - but I watched the special on QVC and ended up spending over $200! I bought the 9 piece 2005 collection...which I rec'd yesterday and I can't even remember what else I bought....

when do you put on the mineral veil? after the foundation - do you use it by itself?

It would just be a matter of pulling out the jar of Light and putting in a Jar of Fair.

It shouldn't be that much of a problem....

Good Luck!

Depending on how oily your skin is- you'd either use it to start (under your foundation) and again as the finishing touch.

If your skin isn't oily, you'd just use it as the finishing touch.

HTH!

I use the mineral veil after I put on my foundation and blush. I use it to set my make up. I love the mineral veil...

I also mix alot. I was getting low on my medium foundation. I had a bisque and a medium tan laying around, that I never used. The bisque alone, I'm not crazy about and the medium tan is much to dark for me, so I mixed the two together and now I have the perfect shade of foundation.

Also if you want to try some sample colors for BE, colorfulsprinkles.com has a great selection you can order just to try, before buying the large sizes. I just ordered a few of the glimpses.

Unfortunately, the infomercial/starter kits do not come with #1 Fair. I do not know why they don't have a kit with it because so many people need that color.

That is what I was afraid of. I did use the fairly light this morning and I liked that color but I think my perfect shade will be a combo of fair and fairly light. I guess it is still worth the price of the starter kit to get the brushes.
