Is the today Special value at QVC- 10 pieces for under $45. I thought some people were BE wearers? Hope that helps someone. Looked like a good price to me.

I have never shopped at QVC, if I order that kit and another regular foundation, do you know if they will put the extra foundation on the 2 payment thing? I am trying not to spend extra money but I'd love to have that kit. I've been wearing this stuff for a whole 2 days and I'll never go back!

I just checked for you and the foundation is not currently on easy pay.

On the other hand, I have had the TSV for about a month and absolutely love it. The TSV is on easy pay though and you can pick up the foundation anytime; it is always available through QVC as well as many retail stores (Ulta and Sephora and BE website)

.

I wore Bare Escentuals for years and loved it. However, this past August I discovered Pure Luxe mineral cosmetics and discovered a new favorite. Pure Luxe is cheaper and just feels so much better on my skin. It also stays on longer and doesn't rub off or look as powdery on. Her eye shadows are gorgeous. If you go to Makeupalley.com you can read reviews. Pure Luxe Samples are only like a $1.00, if anyone wants to try it. Also if you find you need to mix her foundations to get your perfect match, she will mix it for you for free once you know your match. She's great!

I only caught the tale end of the tsv on qvc- Can someone fill me in on what it is that makes BE so good? Is it for all ages? I am looking for a new foundation that doesn't sit in my fine lines-is theirs any good? Any recommendations would be welcomed.

Thanks for sharing this. I just checked out the reviews and have now ordered a few samples to check it out for myself. I am a BE user now and if Pure Luxe is as good I will be very excited since their prices seem much better. I am looking forward to getting my samples!

Are you talking about the "bare gold" kit? I ordered it... I needed mineral veil and a new brush anyway, so that alone makes up most of the cost of the set, and the rest is gravy! :thumbsup2

I saw the tsv and ordered it. I've worn BE for years now and love it. The colors of the tsv were so beautiful, I can't wait to get it.

The TSV was only available today, and never going to be available again. Not even in pieces. So how have you had it a month?

Just as I mentioned about the D &T popcorn giving an 11% cash back on Ebates, if you go to Ebates first to link to QVC you'll get 3% cash back. I'll be looking at the Pure Luxe also as the BE is a little pricey for me. Thanks for posting about this product!---Kathy

QVC puts the TSV's up early and sometimes someone will just stumble upon it and sometimes QVC sends out email's to their "Beauty" newsletter subscribers offering them an "Advance Sale" purchase and sometimes the Q will put the TSV's in their "insider" that only subscribers have access to.

I got the TSV early through the "Advanced Sale" purchase.

I'm 42 yrs old, and admittedly do look a few years older, but anyway...I went to a store that carries the product and has the makeup artist that puts it on you. After she applied it, she was shaking her head in the negative and immediately told me she'd take it off. Well, I looked in the mirror and was given the opportunity to see an age progression! This stuff showed up in lines that I never knew I had. So the answer to your question is: Unfortunately, BE is NOT suitable for anyone with fine lines.

I'm 51 (I chock just typing that)!
I use the BE, but not all over my face. I use my Estee Lauder lucidity base and then use the BE foundation with the steepling? brush for cover up. It is perfect for redness on checks, broken capillaries, undereye circles and other imperfections. Make sure you use moisturizer first. I also use the blush, no wrinkles on my fat little cheeks, and eyeshadow. I just put a little eye gel on my lids first to avoid creapiness. I also like using the warmth on my collarbone and hairline.

Thanks for the info, I have GOT to find out how to get the TSV early.
IF I end up liking the product. I know they are doing two more one in April and September. This is my first BE, so we shall see how it goes

If you find that BE settles into your fine lines, try applying it with the "wet method" or mixing a bit of it with your moisturizer and apply the moisturizer like you always do.

I ordered it yesterday for my DDIL to be for christmas. I know she loves the make-up and I figured it was something she would enjoy but not buy for herself.

a few "secrets" that i found work well (51 yo, & just like to look good, or at lest half-way decent ;) , at whatever age i'm currently at):
~ moisturizer first, of course :)
~ studio gear revitalizing day serum (it absorbs into my slightly dry skin quickly, & leaves a nice, pore & wrinkle reducing finish)
physician's formula green concealer (just a small dab makes those nasty capillaries fade, otherwise they just about glow on my <a-hem> pasty white skin)
then comes the BM.

i would like to try everyday minerals some day...a lot of ppl swear by it (& it costs a lot less than BM).
hth :)
