So we are using the magic express bus to get back and forth to the airport and we have the yellow barcoded tags for our suitcases, my question may seem dumb but when we get to Jetblue @ Logan we still have to check our bags and they will be putting one of their barcoded tags on the luggage also. is this correct? and once I drop our luggage at Logan Airport I don't worry about it again until it shows up in our room at all star movies? 11 days and counting to our very first ever wdw trip....:cool1::cool1:

The airline will put their tags on your luggage so that it gets to the correct plane and correct airport. The Disney Magical Express tags are for when your luggage gets to Orlando. The baggage handlers at MCO know how to handle these bags and the DME people use the tags to make sure that your bags get to the proper resort. If you look at the DME tags they should have some sort of resort code on them. The airlines don't mess with the DME tags. They will remove any other airline tags to avoid confusion at the airport. As long as the DME tags are on your bags you will see them again in your resort room later that night. DME is one of the best perks of staying on site. So no worries and have a great first trip!

I have had the JB people at Logan look at my bags and say 'ahhhh, off to see the mouse!'. They will put their own tags on, stating MCO as your final destination. Be sure they say MCO....I always double check when those tags get put on. Then, the bags will be left in your room, about 3-4 hrs after you check in at the resort.

One time I was watching the baggage handlers load the luggage onto our SW plane at PIT. I swear most of the luggage had the yellow tags!

One point - if your flight arrives at 10:00pm or later, you can't use the yellow tags, you have to go to baggage claim and pickup the luggage.
