Banking Points - Can you select to keep some and bank the rest?

Can you select how many points you want to bank?

For example, if I have 100 remaining 2023 points, can I bank 50 of them and keep the remaining 50 to be able to use before my use year ends?

In a related question. If I keep some of my 2023 points and bank the rest, can I make a reservation that uses the banked 2023 and 2024 points and leaving the non-banked 2023 points for me to use later (basically booking at 7 month & 11 month windows)?

I have a situation where I am going to need to use some of my 2023 points for a night a couple of days before they expire, because I it will also be a couple of days before I am able to borrow 2025 points.

I'm not sure how this question is any different from the first? But yes you can book a reservation using your 2023 points and then bank the remaining points to 2024 and then use your banked 2023+2024 points for another reservation.
