I am trying to figure out whether this is possible.

I received:
Oct, 2005 50 Points.
Oct, 2006 50 Points
Oct, 2007 50 Points.

I am planning a Disney Vacation in Jan, 2007.

I want to banked Oct 2005, 50 Points to 2006.

Can I make a reservation in Feb 2006 for Jan, 2007 ( 11 Months out) using
the 50 2005 banked points, 50 2006 Points and borrowing 10 points from 2007. Do I have to wait till Oct 2006 to make the reservation?

You can do so at 11 months out. Just be careful with an every 3 year scenario as it's easy to lose points if you cross the use year for one of the visits.

The points you receive October 2005 are good through Sep 2006; You can bank them into the Oct 2006-Sep 2007 use year giving you 100 points to use for your January 2007 vacation. In addition, you can borrow 50 points from your Oct 2007-Sep 2008 use year so you'll actually be able to use 150 points for your January 2007 vacation.

Hope this helps. But you may want to discuss this throughly with MS.

I often suggest people make a chart for their particular use year so it's a little easier to 'see' how use years work. You have an October use year so your chart would look like this:

Use Year.....Vacation Dates
2004.....Oct 1, 2004 through Sep 30, 2005
2005.....Oct 1, 2005 through Sep 30, 2006
2006.....Oct 1, 2006 through Sep 30, 2007
2007.....Oct 1, 2007 through Sep 30, 2008
2008.....Oct 1, 2008 through Sep 30, 2009
and so on

You can bank points from one Use Year into the following Use Year. You can borrow point from a Use Year into the preceeding Use Year.

From the chart, you see that January 2007 is in your 2006 use year. You get points into 2006 one of three ways: (1) Your regular annual allocation, (2) Bank points from 2005, (3) Borrow points from 2007. With a 50 point contract this would get you up to 150 points that you could use during UY 2006.

You can bank points anytime you want. Banking amounts are subject to banking deadlines. You borrow points only at the time you actually make the reservation.

You can make the reservation at your home resort 11-months out. This is totally independent of your Use Year month. So for your vacation you would call in Feb 2006. Since Feb 2006 is still within your 100% banking window for your 2005 UY points, you can do everything with the same phone call. You do not need to bank the points ahead of time. If the reservation required for example is 110 points, you would make the reservation and have MS 1) bank all your 2005 points (you'd be banking at the 5-month mark which is within your 6-month 100% window), 2) Use all of your upcoming 2006 points, and 3) borrow 10 points from 2007. You do all this with your Feb 2006 phone call. You do not need to wait until Oct 2006 in order to borrow 2007 points.

When done this gives you zero remaining points in 2005, zero remaining points for 2006 (meaning you don't receive any points on Oct 1, 2006) and 40 remaining points for 2007.

If desired, the 40 points can be banked into Use Year 2008 which would make them available for a vacation between Oct 2008 and Sep 2009. Or you could leave them in 2007. Or even borrow them into 2006 if you wanted to do something with them. Although that's all you'd have since you can only borrow one year ahead.
