Baltimore BOT-Fest

Jodi, just heard on NPR there was a huge explosion :eek:up in your neck of the woods. Must be terrible if it made national news. Hope everyone is OK.

My uncle's house is right across the river from that power plant. He has been trying to have the construction stopped since it was announced. He said his whole house shook and the door to the attic fell open. Thankfully the big picture windows that he has looking over the river didn't break.

Colleen - Yeah, it's about 2 miles from our house. Terrible scene up here...not quite sure how many are dead - there were @ least 50 workers there today working on the construction site. None of the local news stations seem to know what's going on. There's a shocker!

We're OK, thanks for checking in . I feel so bad for those people & their families.:sad2:

Jodi, I didn't realize you were so close to there. My uncle is in Portland and my mom is in Kensington.

Jodi: Glad you are safe

Dave: Nice interview, you are becoming quite the celebrity.:cool2:

Sara: thinking of you :flower3:

What a weekend! I don't think I've shoveled that much in a long time. We got about 22" of snow and had a blast playing outside in it. We even built a huge snow slide off of DD's swingset. It took extra shoveling but it was fun for all of us. I managed 6 miles on the TM last night despite my sore arms and back. Now they are predicting more snow:scared1: for tomorrow night. Butch is having some knee problems so has been taking a break from running and is getting really frustrated that his body won't cooperate with him. He's going to see the doc tomorrow.

Have a good week everybody-- stay safe and warm.

Thanks Jen, I'm glad you liked the interview. Me? Celebrity? Hardly... who remembers who does the interview?

Good job on the running after shoveling snow, and give my best to Butch. I have definitely felt that same way at times. Frustrated my body won't cooperate.

Dave - You're my HERO!! Can I have your autograph? When we're in NYC? :yay: Can you interview James Taylor next? I really like him.

Good Morning Bots,

Hope you are all set for the next snowstorm. I guess I did jinx us a bit Jodi, we're predicted to get 6-ish inches of snow. Just a dusting by DE and NJ standards.

Sara: I hope the recovery continues to go well.

Jen: I loved your FB photos. You did really seem to enjoy the snow. Hope Butch's knee improves quickly.

Lou: Hope the dental surgery discomfort is all behind you now.

Howard: Glad you are all shoveled out and were able to get to the gym yesterday.

Dave: Nice job with all the interviews you are scoring.

Hello to Colleen, Chester, Cindy, Matt, Mike, Judy, Cam, Debra, Bill and any other's I've missed.

The new schedule of medicines seemed to help my stomach for a few days then I had 2 awful days. I'm not sure what's going on. I still have 2 weeks until the endoscopy. In the meantime I am sticking to my training schedule. I ran 14 miles yesterday. My legs felt tight, but I managed to run at a bit faster pace than 2 weeks ago on the same course. We'll see how tomorrow's run goes with the snow. I may have to move it inside to the TM.

Have a great day Bots,
Cindy

Hi Cindylou! Cindy, Matt, Dave, Chester, Lou, Mike, Kathy, Judy, Deb, Jodi, Jen, Butch, Sara , Megan, etc.

We had a total of 26.5 inches of snow last weekend. It's been pretty cold with little or no melt-off. We have 16.3 more inches in the immediate forecast. My office is closing all of our permanent donor centers tomorrow and cancelling all of our mobile operations too. We are contemplating opening up with a 2 hour delay on Thursday.

It was great to get to the YMCA last night. I completed 4.4 miles on the Expresso bike in just over 16 minutes (fast!) and 3.1 miles on the elliptical in just over 27 minutes. I did not lift weights since my back is still a bit sore from all of the snow shoveling over the weekend.

9 Days untl I am "allowed" to begin running again.

:grouphug:

Hi BOTS! Where is everyone? Shoveling? Running? Working? Eating? Picking toenails?

I guess I did jinx us a bit Jodi, we're predicted to get 6-ish inches of snow.

Um, yeah, Cindy! Thanks a LOT! You'll be down with your brood soon with shovels in hand then?. We're supposed to get up to 16" here. My neighbor called me from work today & told me not to shovel my driveway tomorrow because she'll snow blow it when she gets home from work. :lovestruc

I've been running & stuff. Still planning to run that hilly 1/2 @ the end of the month. Nice job on your continued gym work outs, Howard. :woohoo:

Cindylou: I hope your stomach starts to cooperate a bit more. Great job getting in the miles despite the stomach issues. We do enjoy the snow because it is so rare around here most years. I admit to being a kid at heart and enjoying watching the white stuff fall. I'll have to post some pictures of the second "hill" we constructed-- it goes off the side of her swingset. You get a good 20 feet of sliding out of it-- pretty fun even for the grownups.

Howard: Great job on working out. Glad your ban on running is almost over.

Jodi: You guessed it-- picking toenails here. Actually tending to some blisters I got while shoveling, but sort of the same thing...

We are braced and ready for round #2 of snow. They are predicting 12-24", we'll see what happens. The school has already decided to close tomorrow. I'm not sure if I have to work or not in the morning- laving it up to how bad things look.

I've been jammed up with work this week so I'll try to catch up tonight. We are set to get some massive amount of snow to pile on top of the massive amount that is still on the ground/roads. We have similar neighbors. My neighbor does his driveway with his big snow blower then he does mine and all around my house. The last storm I was working in the home office as he passed by my window. I passed a big glass of Crown Royal to him as he came by the second time. Figured I didn't want him to get too cold. :thumbsup2
