Bagless ~ how do you do it?

I'm wanting to go bagless to the parks. DH would be thrilled if we could by-pass the bag check line. I still want to take:

sunglasses: wear on my head or on my face
sm. camera: pocket or carry
ap, dde, room key, id: small wallet in pocket ?
cell phone: pocket
lipstick: pocket
sm. package of Rx: pocket
sm. pkg of wipe: pocket
rain jacket/poncho: disposable: it could go in pocket OR

what about carrying in a rain jkt? I could put some of this stuff in the small pocket of my rain jacket and when the jkt is not in use, I could tie around waist. Or what about an ID pouch that you wear around your neck? The ones that I'm looking at could hold id's, notes, maps (folded), ~ most everything above except sunglasses, camera, and phone.

How do you go bagless?

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but what if you did do the rain jacket idea and then put the things that you don't need by your side 24/7 in a locker. That way you would only carry a couple things and the rest are in a locker waiting for you. That is just a idea, I don't know if you are looking for something like that or not??

Cargo shorts for your DH. He'll be an oversized walking version of your purse...that's what my fiancee does. I just end up digging out her chapstick every 15 minutes and passing it over

i dont know if this will help, but I just use a fanny pack. Still has to be checked, but super easy. I just cram it all in there and look like a tourist lol.
Its hands free. Which is nice. Carry anythign around stinks.

if we go without kids we go bagless. dh carries the room keys in his wallet and we use the photo pass for our picture taking. we go a lot and have pictures of everything. but if i felt i needed a camera i would put it in my pocket. we carry our phones in our pockets...and thats it. i dont bring anything else.

I take a fanny pack. Mine is large enough to hold my prescription glasses (or sunglasses, whichever I'm not wearing at the time OR both if on RnRC etc.)

Disposable camera, money, passes, keys, suntan lotion & any other small items I deem necessary.

It has side holders & can hold up to 2 bottles of water as well. If I get tired of wearing it around my waist, I carry it like a purse. It easily fits between my feet on rides if I want it off when riding.

Oh, & it's not the only dorky looking thing about me

I carry everything you listed in my cargos. Found great capris that I love, sometimes I have the cell phone on a lanyard, otherwise everything including the poncho fit in the pockets. BTW: sunglasses and reading glasses are on top of my head!

They make cargo shorts for women, and cargo capris. I haven't carried a bag into a park for years.

They do, but the cargo pockets on women's shorts are 1/4 the size of those on men's shorts. Now I don't advocate completely loading up your pockets (gets really heavy after a while, not to mention the abuse from your stuff slamming into your legs), but just a lot more volume to work with on guy's shorts.

How do you go bagless?

What time of year are you going? Sunglasses, wear em.
camera, carry it or pocket it. Room key, errr, pockets or the camera case? Cell phone, are you going with people you need to keep in touch with? If not, you can probably drop this one, you're on vacation, if you need it, pocket. Lipstick? Again, do you need this on vacation, if you do, pocket. Medication, you can just bring the pills you need, which can go in the cam case or pocket. Poncho, again, not sure you need it, if you do, you're kinda stuck with this one. Same with wipes.

I think people that go without bags (I never carry one) don't need to bring so many things. But, everyone needs different things, your list to a non bagger like me seems kinda odd, the cards/cash etc are going to go in a wallet easily enough, I carry my camera in a camera case and some pins go in that too, sunglasses are on my face, thats all i take. Lipstick, poncho, cellphone are all things that can stay in the hotel when on vacation for me. For the poncho, it doesn't rain that often but I have been caught in some down pours, no biggy though.

If you want to go without a bag, consider if you can go without carrying all that stuff or your pockets are just going to be jammed up anyways, that wont be comfortable. If you want or need to take all that stuff, take a bag, the bag check line is probably a better idea than making yourself uncomfortable all day.

DH has our DDE, AP's, and Room Key in his wallet.
I wear my sunglasses.
DH has a very small digital we bought just for pocket purposes.
I take 4 pills mid day and DH puts those 4 pills in a small bag in his pocket.
That's all we take in the parks.


In general I don't take a cell phone, don't "reput" on any lipstick, don't carry wipes and don't even have a rain poncho. (I used to, but they were such a hassle I just threw them out)

We always stay at Disney World and most of the time at Boardwalk Villa's and have our own car. At all times we are only about 20 minutes or less from our resort so I'm not keen on carrying around alot of stuff for "what if" scenario's.

I will be carrying as much as possible in cargo pockets, camcorder is pretty small (first visit we borrowed my in laws VHSc one, we nearly had to hire sherpas), cell phone/ camera is one item, tickets, cash, cards etc will be in my wallet, sunstick (we're there in December so probably not required) and wipes with DW, sunglasses worn.

As we're there in winter (sic) we'll probably take a spare layer of clothing each and put them in a locker until we need them, how much are the lockers these days I don't think we've used one this millenium?

I have cargo jeans that I wear on the bagless days. I go bagless when the chance of rain is 30% or less. If it's higher than that, I carry a bag so I can carry a nylon poncho (although sometimes I just carry a compact umbrella in my hand and still go bagless).

On bagless days, I put a small wallet with cash, room key and other cards in one pocket, a few hand wash towelettes in another pocket, and I'm good to go. Most of my trips these days are solo, so I don't need a phone to keep in touch with anyone, and I've been to Disney so much, I don't carry a camera unless I'm going to something specific, like Night of Joy or a holiday party. It's really nice to be able to travel light.

My DH and I have managed a few bagless days with our 4 children. Camera, tickets and cash go in his pockets. That's all we need for a short visit to a park. Of course, if we're going to be there for a while we take more and need a bag for diapers, spare clothes and wipes. We tend to just pop in for a couple of hours at a time mostly though so we really don't need much.

I have a Passport Lanyard, and it holds a LOT! Even my Razor Cell phone. So that goes around my neck, and so does the camera!
