Bad scooter experience

Our trip started on a Sun. So I called AA Tourist Rental to confirm my scooter the Fri. before. A man by the name of Mark or Mike (I can't remember which it was for sure) said the secretary was off but he guaranteed delivery by 7:30 Mon. morning.

Mon. morning came and there was no scooter waiting for us at the consierre's desk. The very nice lady working the desk asked who we had rented from and started calling them for us. She was a very nice soft spoken woman who was very helpful to us. After about five phone calls she was able to get AA Tourist on the phone where she politely explained that she had guests waiting for a delivery that was late. The man on the other end of the phone began yelling so loud that I could hear him.
He was screaming that she was rude and owed him an appology. She never raised her voice but she did tell him that an appology was in order but not from her. She then asked would he like to speak to me that I was standing next to her. When she handed me the phone his secretary was on the line not him. She asked me what was going on and I explained that I had confirmed on Fri and the scooter had not been delivered. His secretary was polite to me as I was to her. She handed him the phone back and i swear i never got a full sentence out. I started to say that " I have touring plans and I need to be at the parks opening for them to work properly" However, I never got that sentence out because he immediatly screamed at me that he had already told the consierre that he was on his way and he hung up on me.

I never had the oppertunity to say a full sentence to this man. After being hung up on I asked if this was unusuall with this company and the concierre being so nice really did not want to say anything bad about this company. She did tell me that this was not the first time this sort of thing had happened with this company and how very sorry she was that this had occured to us. How great is this lady? She had been nothing but polite and was appologising. I assured her that she did not owe anyone an apology and that I was sorry for renting from this company and getting her yelled at. I spent the next fifteen minutes assuring my husband that I did not feel he needed to confront this very childish man in order to stand up for me. All i wanted was to get the scooter and get to the park. I had no plans on wasting anymore energy on this situation and neither should he. When Mike or Mark did show up he made the effort to be somewhat friendlier in person and we were as well.
He never acknowledge any error on his part and we simply could not care less. We were heading to Epcot and putting the whole experience behind us.

My purpose of this post is simply to warn others. I did research this company on this board and on TGMike. I found no complaints and I don't want that to happen to someone else. If you have rented from them and everthing went well I am truely happy for you but our experience was pitiful and I don't want what happened to us on our first day to happen to anyone else.

so it was AA Tourist Rental you got the scooter from? We need to call next week to rent two scooters for a week in december.
