BAck to school!!

Hey all! Wish me luck! Soon I will be back to school (Tuesday). After 20 years, I am finally teaching my own class (4th grade) in public school. That has been my goal for a long time. So, I won't be around as much but I have really enjoyed the boards especially since my cruise ended this summer! So, WTG to all you cruisers this Fall! Thanks for all the memories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck with the 4th Graders! Hope you have a nice group! (I have 6th graders this year after teaching Kindergarten for 5 years! It's quite a switch but so far so good!)

jlawall, good luck with the 4th graders! That's a really nice age-mature enough, but not too mature!! We (myself, dh and ds-12) went back on 8-26. We scheduled our cruise when school gets out in June. I keep having dreams about how close the cruise is, unfortunately I wake up and it is still Sept. instead of Jan.

catspjmas, that is quite a leap. How will you live without having to tie shoes all days and all those questions! LOL!!!

DS had a GREAT 4th grade teacher last year and it can make all the difference.
I can't imagine teaching children my son's age, I will stick with my preschoolers, the youngest in my classes is a pair of twins that are 2.9 and the oldest are five that just missed the kindergarten cutoff. We head back to prepare on Thurs. and classes start Monday. I can't wait I missed my little kidlins!

Wow you all start school later! Ryan has been in school since August 14th! Maybe our kids get out earlier? (May 28th)

Congrats on seeing your goal met jlawall. I say, God bless all teachers! Underpaid and overworked, but deserving of a lot of praise! (I say this from the standpoint of someone who homeschooled for six years...he's in high school now...even I know when enough is enough for me!)LOL I leave it to the professionals now.

Mike got out June 24th this past year. Won't know what day school ends until like friday! Preschool always goes a few days longer than the regular school as we start classes a few days later.

Thx to all for the kind comments! Today was my first day with my new class. I've died and gone to teacher heaven. My students were so wonderful..(I guess it's all downhill from here!!! )

Hey congrats to both of you on your new classes from a fellow teacher turned stay at home mom. I am PTO VP though so I still get to spend a lot of time at the school. Just am not paid for it.LOL
