Yes, I am the dummy.;) I have read the boards about rider swap for some time but still don't get it. :confused3 Dh and I will be at WDW in less than a month with our 2 1/2 year old in tow along with our two teenage dd's. Our last trip we never utilized it and with rides we couldn't take our little one on either Dh or I just stayed off and one of us rode with our older girls. This time I would like to use the rider swap and I am just wondering how it works and if it is different at each ride (i.e. is the same process for say Space Mountain and at say Soarin' ). Where do you wait with the little one; at the loading of the ride but what about rides that load and unload in different places? Can someone please explain the baby swap / rider swap for me in simple terms (without flames or insults please :goodvibes)?
:thanks:

Thanks for the link Mesaboy (I promise to only swap my baby with responsible adults;). Now I get it, you wait OUTSIDE the ride for some reason I thought you waited at the loading part of the ride and when the ride ended you would just switch places with the other adult, that's why I was confused with the rides that loaded and ended at separate spots. I guess the baby swap adds considerable time to the touring so I will have to account for that in my planning. :)

Yes. Years ago, the too-short kids could enter the queue and it worked the way you thought but that is no longer the case.

We just got home today. We both had to go up to the fast pass line with the kids and tell them that we were going to rider swap. They wouldn't give us the card if they couldn't see the other adult and the kids. Then the adult goes back to the fast pass line.

I thought the same thing as you and was confused as to how the strollers were supposed to go up the ramps, etc.

Another quick question since there are five of us could 2 people wait with the little one and then the other two wait? I realize no one would get to ride twice but then no one would have to ride alone either.
Thanks again.:goodvibes

We did it this week with DD and an infant. We didn't have to prove anything to the CM, just ask for a rider switch ticket. DD wanted to ride the ride with her children, and she has 3 young ones, so when Dad got off the ride, he took the stroller and she got to enjoy the ride with all three boys. However, we had to specifically ask for an extra ticket as it normally only allows for 2 go-alongs.
