So, I just found out I'm going to be a first time Grandma - to twins!
They're due in July and I have an April trip to the world. What kind of stuff have you gotten for babies? I want to start them off on the right foot!

I saw quite a few infant/child clothing/accessory options when we were there last week. I would have loved to have bought my daughter several things, but just couldn't justify the cost when I could get some cute Disney related clothes at Walmart or Kohls for 1/3 of the price

We traveled to WDW for our 10th Anniversary trip when our DD was 6 months old (she stayed home with grandma and papa). Anyways, World of Disney has an entire room of just infant related items. We got her a Disney outfit for 6 months, and 12 months, and 18 months and 24 months, all at one time. ;)

We also got her an "Its a Small World" bath toy boat.

People are saying there are tons of infant things. There isn't Most is AT LEAST 6months +. More of it oncce you get past the 2T range. Get two mickey bibs and call it a day. You can find better Disney branded stuff at your local big box. Our guy is 18 months and we have been to Disney 3 times and 1 DCL vacation with him. We know what we are talking about. Plenty of toys, better selection for girls, little for boys.

Congratulations on the new additions!

I agree that boy stuff especially is scarce at WDW. All I wanted was a 3T shirt with the year of our trip on it - finally snagged one in DTD.

I have found very little for babies/infants at WDW. And the few things they do have are outrageously expensive. There is a few more things for toddlers but I have found the bulk of the kid stuff for boys especially (since that is what I have) is pretty much geared to the 3-5 range. My DS8 hardly finds anything anymore either.

Both my kids got really nice personalized ornaments the year they were born. All their disney clothing I can find nicer stuff at the big box stores or disney store online with sales/coupons.

Do you have a Kohl's? They have a great selection of Disney Baby products for even tiny ones. I was underwhelmed by the baby selection at both DL and WDW.

Thanks for all the info. Sounds like I should get the Disney clothes at Kohl's and maybe do Christmas ornaments at Disney World

Congrats LaurenT! We are parents of twins (now grown). Disneystore.com is a good source, and you're right that you want to start the kiddos on the right foot by indoctrinating them to Disney.:earsboy: Also, if you have cable, you'll want to get acquainted with "DisneyJR" There's a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show that features the Fab 5 so they can learn to love the core characters.

When we were there in November, there were actually more options and availability in infant sizes, and then 4+ than there was for 2T-3T. DD was just moving into 2T, will be wearing 3T this summer, so I was looking for those sizes specifically and had a hard time finding things. There were a *bunch* of things in both smaller and bigger sizes.

ETA: This was at World of Disney in DTD. Also, on our 2013 trips we had luck finding infant clothes in one of the storefronts connected to the Emporium on Main Street.

OP - something we loved putting DD in at Disney was the cuddly bodysuit costumes - like this one. They are much more comfortable (and easy to change diapers in) than Disney Store's other costumes, and still so SO cute :)

Congratulations!!

My older boy was born in 2005, during Disneyland's 50th anniversary - my parents bought him a set of golden Mickey ears and we still have them (we already had chosen a name, so it is embroidered with his name). I love those ears!
