Baby and the Tramp...and a Pop (half) Century! Where Did It Go???

Continuing on with St. Patrick's Day:

Jill got Brooklynn all prettied up.

disneypics657.jpg

Brooklynn was more interested in window decorating. She was so proud of her Beast. She went outside and admired her work.

disneypics659.jpg

She and I walked around while Jill got ready. She saw a bird and tried to catch him, but he scooted under the lounge chair.

"Aaah doe?" she said. Ten times.

"Under the chair," I answered. Only twice. After that, her questions just floated off into the air unanswered. She was staring straight at the bird. She knew where it went.

Is this cute, or what?

disneypics661.jpg

We eventually headed to the bus stop.

disneypics656.jpg

This rather large dog almost stepped on us as we went by.

disneypics662.jpg

I think Kay got breakfast and we waited in the gift shop. I think that because these pictures are next, so I'm guessing that's what happened.

disneypics654.jpg

One of my favorite rides.

disneypics655.jpg

If I do give in to the pin craze, I'll start out by buying a couple from my favorite rides, and then just stick to buying ride/attraction pins. At least I hope I could restrict it. If not, I'll be on a heap o' trouble. I'll start getting special occasion pins and then I'll give in to characters pins. I know me when it comes to anything Disney. I'm ridiculous. Look at my signature. It's proof.

At the bus stop.

disneypics663.jpg

Stylin' at the bus stop.

disneypics664.jpg

Next, we do make it to Hollywood Studios.

The first pictures I have here are from Disney Animation, so I'll assume that's where we went first.

disneypics665.jpg

disneypics666.jpg

This was a kind of neat show, and we hadn't seen it before.

disneypics667.jpg

Every character that came onto the screen and dared to leave was asked the same question..."Aaah doe?"...those two little Brooklynn hands stretched upwards in the air, her head tilted, a question mark right on top of her forehead. At least she was quiet about it, so it didn't disrupt the show.

Where the animators do their animating.

disneypics668.jpg

disneypics670.jpg

Brooklynn engaging in some hands-on Disney activities. I think it showed you what character you were most like. Jill, or someone else, can help me out on that.

disneypics673.jpg

This shop has some of the coolest stuff.

Disney books of all kinds.

disneypics691.jpg

I especially liked this, since we're eating at 'Ohana July 5th.

Coming next, a visit with some Playhouse Disney friends.

great update and pics.

she did a lovely job decorating the window.

Happy belated Mother's Day!! I love the tea party and I hope Brooklynn is finally feelin better!

Your pics have me so excited for our trip in August. All Star Movies looks like fun... the boys' eyes will be like saucers! Looking forward to hearing about Playhouse Disney!

I haven't started the pin collecting either, but I did buy that splash mountain pin to commemorate my first and only time on that ride:goodvibes . I did buy a box of 12 pins on my last trip to the Disney Character Outlet store and may try to trade a few on our next trip. I'm a little afraid to start because I get a little carried away with my "collections" sometimes! I don't think that will happen because I've gotten a little "cheap" shall we say, in my old age. I did buy a few of those Jim Shore figurines (like in your pictures) and I'm making myself stick to a few that I really like.... we'll see how that goes! Thanks for the pictures! We're taking a last minute, long weekend trip in a couple of weeks and now I'm really looking forward to it (staying at POP).

PS: I really love your trip reports!

/
I did not know there were disney precious moments figurines. I used to collect them when I was a kid and always got a new one every year for my b-day (I was in the birthday club) and then some. If the baby is a girl, I will have to start my mom on collecting them for her too.

The precious moments figurines are so cute! I love the one with Minnie and the little girl in the teacup!

Brooklynn is adorable in her sunglasses.

Uh oh MeMom! Sounds like you're gonna jump on the pin craze!

MeMom and Brooklynns Mommy -- Your pictures are so great. Brooklynn gets cuter and cuter everyday. I love how we get to see her grow up before our eyes.

Well -- It looks like I will definitely be in Disney for Thanksgiving this year. I will be spending Wednesday and Thursday with Joe's family and will be doing Disney from Friday - Sunday. Hopefully we will finally get to do a dismeet... Since the only other dismeet I ever had I was dissed at :rotfl:

The only stinky thing is that flights are so expensive. Continental wants $615 for this trip so I am going to have to go on Jet Blue.

Thanks for loving our reports. We enjoy doing them. It is fun to re-live our good times. I know how much I enjoy seeing other people's pictures, as well, so that when I'm not in Disney World physically but I need to be mentally, then I can be. Hope that made sense. Sort of the "Calgon, take me away!" if you remember that commercial, only it's "Disboards, take me away!" with me.

I loved those figurines, and I wish I had the money to have a whole shelf full of them. I spent a lot of time looking, and I told Jill that I wished I could have a whole shelf of the Precious Moments ones and a whole shelf of the Jim Shore ones.

Check with Glendamax and snowbell, because they are also taking trips soon. You guys may have some days that overlap and you could meet up for a quick hello.

punkin413 - Did you get to buy that figurine? You're lucky, if so. I'm going to have to get one next trip, but I'm going to start with someone nicer than Capt. Hook. If I start a collection, I'll start with a good guy.

About meeting, let's wait and see what's going on with Kristi's softball, because if she's still playing, we may be going to see her. I will let you know, but it won't be until later next week.

scottny - She was very proud of her window. She already knows that a Diser's window must be decorated. We picked up some red, white, and blue stuff the last time they were here that we'll be using on our Fourth of July trip.

carrieannie - I love taking pictures of palm trees. I miss those from my St. Pete days. When I see my first palm tree in Florida when we drive to WDW, it gives me such a good feeling.

If I get a Precious Moments figurine, it will either be the Minnie Teacup one or the Dumbo one. Dumbo represents Brooklynn so well, because we always go straight to Dumbo on MK mornings, but I do love the Minnie in the Teacup one, too.
Such decisions.
I'm terrible at making choices.
I was picking out Brooklynn a Disney t-shirt the other day, and I couldn't decide between Cinderella, three Princesses, Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet, and Minnie and Daisy. I got all four of them. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that my first one will be both Teacup and Dumbo.

k_reile - What a perfect gift for a baby girl! I don't think you'll have much trouble talking your mom into buying those for a new little granddaughter. Note that I made you yellow tonight, so as not to give a boy or girl preference. ;)

We find out next week! I can't wait to hear your exciting news, so don't forget in all of your excitement to come over here and tell us as soon as you find out. I mean, you can tell grandma first, but we're next! If I don't hear from you in a reasonable time, I'm probably going to fill your mailbox with PMs wanting to know! :)

Lovemy3babes - I do hate in when life gets in the way of my Dis fun. But then again, if I didn't have real life, I wouldn't have the money for Dis fun, so what's a girl to do???

swanslovedisney - Yes, Minnie in the Teacup is too cute! I probably won't be able to resist.

Stop me with the pin thing!!! I really do want to do it, just with the rides/attractions, but I'm not sure why I want to all of the sudden. I've never been into it, and I have no desire to trade, but I started looking at them (MAJOR MISTAKE!), and now I really would like to have some kind of box, like a shadowbox, to display them. I don't know who I'd even show them to, though, so that's what keeps me from jumping in. I have my plush dolls (the Mickeys and Minnies and Donalds and such) at school, and the kids love those, but I can't think that anyone would ever be interested in ride pins. Maybe while Disney is cutting things, they'll cut out pins before I spend a lot of money on something I don't need.

Do you think I can make it through a ten day trip and not buy one? We shall see.

snowbell - We're on for a Dis meet, and we won't diss you. We'll be there somewhere in the massive crowds. We'll see which parks you're going to be at on which day and go from there. Or we could meet at a resort, which would be less crowded. We'll toss around ideas between now and then.

I'm sorry to hear that your tickets were so high. That's a lot of money!

pooh'smate - A tea party with our little ones - the simple things that life is made of!

moparop - Brooklynn is feeling better. She's got some more teeth coming in.

She and Jill met me in Chattanooga today for our third-grade field trip. We went straight to the penguins. Brooklynn says it a little different. She says, "Pwen-genth." She has the 'w' sound completely in the wrong place, and the 's' at the end is 'eth'. It's very wrong, and very cute. She just lit up with a smile every time one of those guys waddled to the edge and jumped in.

She cried when she couldn't get on the 'buth' with me. They had driven their car, and I had the pleasure of riding with 40 kids and assorted parents. It wasn't bad, though. The bus was one of those nice big ones with plush seats and DVD players down the rows. We watched movies coming and going, so it was all good.

Okay, I'm going to go make a chicken casserole. See you all later.

I LOVED the Disney Precious Moments! I had never seen these until December.

I have several of those from when I was little, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy one.

BUT I did not see the little boy and girl with the Mickey hats.....b/c I think maybe that one is a MUST for mine and Matt's Trip back in Dec

Oh my....MeMom quit showing me things I need to buy

Oh, honey, if you don't want to be tempted by shopping, stay faaaaaaar away from me!
I L-O-V-E to look and look and look at all the many things there are out there to buy. When it comes to the actual checking out part, I manage to contain myself, but the browsing...I could do that endlessly.
I'm really good about picking something up, walking around with it for twenty minutes, then putting it back on the shelf as I walk toward the checkout counter.
If I had money, there's no telling what would be in this house!!!

About meeting, let's wait and see what's going on with Kristi's softball, because if she's still playing, we may be going to see her. I will let you know, but it won't be until later next week.

that's fine. just let me know. i'm leaving next thursday after work so i'll probably PM you before then to see if you know anything. if not, we'll just trade phone numbers and play it by ear, but i'd love to meet up!

It's official - I am going to Disney again from Wednesday 11/26 - Monday 12/1. woo hoo., i am so excited. we might be able to finally meet.

Punkin - have fun on your trip. i am still so delayed on starting your trip report

The first pictures I have here are from Disney Animation, so I'll assume that's where we went first.

This was a kind of neat show, and we hadn't seen it before.

disneypics667.jpg

Did you guys go in and try your own animation? We did that the last time we were there. That was so fun! I can't wait to do it again. Of course my oldest DD makes the drawings the rest of us do look terrible, because she is so talented and we can barely draw stick figures. But it was fun.

Once again, thanks for all the great pictures! You are making our wait more bearable. :)

Ok it took me most of the week, but I've read through your entire wonderful 103 pages! What a great trip report(s) - your family seems so sweet and Brooklynn is so smiley! I'm glad you have so many more adventures coming up for us to read about!

Wow, and thanks for taking so much time to read all of our craziness! A very warm welcome to you. During the week, I usually only get around to one post of pictures, because life is hectic. I do better on the weekends, but with working on this grad course, I'm a little busier than normal. We'll finish it before we leave on the next one. We always do. Sometimes it's the night before we leave, but we get it done. I think we have every time anyway.

Since we're now over a hundred pages, when we start the next report for the summer trip, we're just going to start a new thread. Jill thinks it would be less confusing, and that's fine with me.

TCKK - We were going to draw a picture, but didn't think Brooklynn would make it, so we talked about doing it this summer. Maybe we can swap her out somehow. That is definitely on our list.

punkin - We're going to work on making that Sunday afternoon meet.

snowbell, we'll plan on the Thanksgiving meet. Glenda PMed that you guys were trying to get your schedules to coordinate, but they weren't lining up so well. She said she's afraid of the crowds, since she's "spoiled" to off-seasons. Maybe you guys could hook up for a minute at one of the resorts before you headed off to separate parks. Hopefully, you can work something out. You guys are getting very close!

pooh'smate - 'Preshate the bump. I haven't been able to tend to the report too much in the last couple of days. Lots of paperwork due in closing out school. I've peeked in as often as possible, and I've put a couple of pictures up on the Pop Century pictures thread and one about resort pools, but I've neglected Baby and the Tramp.

Jill says the next report will probably just be Toddler and the Tramp, unless we get creative or something sticks out to us while on the trip.

Hopefully we won't feel inclined, after we get back, to call it any of the following:
The Heat Melted our Clothes Away,
or Our Disney Misadventures,
or MeMom Fell in the Lake Not Looking Where She Was Going Because She Was Taking a Picture.

Toddler and the Tramp works for me.

Tramp has left for the weekend to watch Kristi play ball.
Toddler is probably toddling around at school right now being silly.
Neither of them know how many days we have until we leave.
Jill and I both know, and we're not even in the title.
How fair is that???

Now, how about some cute Little Playhouse Disney friends for tonight?

We were right at the front of the line for the Playhouse Disney characters to come out - probably third or fourth at most.

DSC06984.jpg

Jill thought Brooklynn would like the Little Einsteins more than JoJo and Goliath, if we were only able to see one, so we had gotten in that line. Since we weren't sure if we'd have time, I took a picture as they walked over to their station, just in case.

disneypics696.jpg

As it turned out, she was able to see both.

disneypics698.jpg

disneypics700.jpg

What do you suppose he was telling her? Probably saying, "Now if you can just get rid of the one with the camera, you'll turn out to be a fine girl!"

disneypics705.jpg

I can't remember if I posted this on the last set of pictures, but if not, here it is. I don't think I did.

disneypics706.jpg

Coming next: Lunch at Primetime.

Brooklynn is so cute with those characters. I think it's so neat that she's not the least afraid or shy with them. Looking forward to the next batch.
