Baby and the Tramp...and a Pop (half) Century! Where Did It Go???

Or who knows, maybe she'll be like the commercial and bring home a "little Disney souvenir!" :rotfl2:

pooksma - Don't you have something you need to be doing? A little dusting? Starting dinner? Just 'cause you're finished with your schoolwork, that doesn't mean you can come over here and start trouble!

I offered to help with the luggage. She put me on baby patrol, which I gladly accepted.

When she is carrying my newest little sweetheart, :cutie:
I'll bring the luggage in by myself,
blindfolded,
with my hands tied behind my back,
uphill both ways!

You tell her MeMom!

Oh and you forgot to add "In snow up to my waist." :lmao:

Or who knows, maybe she'll be like the commercial and bring home a "little Disney souvenir!" :rotfl2:

That would be an awesome souvenir!

I don't want anyone to fall over dead with a heart attack now, but I'm going to give another update....with pictures, Nicole!

Two updates in just a matter of days may be enough to overwhelm most of you who are used to the one-ride-a-week norm.

So, here goes:

In the next activity, there were underwater creatures involved.

Pay close attention to the jellyfish warning sign in this picture. I will tell you a story later that relates.

Remember Bud and Sandy? (I had a crush on Sandy. He was so cute! Poor Bud didn't have much of a chance with the girls after they got one look at Sandy!) They had the neatest life - out on the boat all the time, adventures every week...I loved that show.

Aforementioned jellyfish story:
I was stung by jellyfish, and it hurts like crazy! Back in St. Pete, one fun day at the beach, I decided to swim into a school of jellyfish, or they decided to swim into me. I guess they didn't like my flowered green and yellow hippy dippy swimsuit or something, because all of the sudden it felt like fifteen thousand fire ants and boiling oil engulfed me all at once. I was splotched with red all over, and it stung/burned for hours. There was another little boy a bit younger who was also stung, but he got it even worse than I did. I was old enough to hold back the screaming, but he was little, and he was crying his head off. I still recall that scene vividly. I imagine that somewhere out there, that little boy/now man does, too!

Long before the fear of Jaws kept people out of the ocean, I had already deemed myself a land-lover, thanks to those jellyfish.

I will close tonight's 'episode' with the shark pictures that I've already shown once.

Good night all!

Thanks for the update and pics MeMom. I love the picture of 'Dory. That's my favorite. :thumbsup2 Can't wait to see the new ride there. :woohoo:
I was stung by jellyfish once too. I don't think mine was as bad as yours. Just one or two stings. However, I never want that to happen again. :scared1:

YAY!!! Another update! We love the Nemo ride in this house. Doug talks about it almost every day. Too cute! I love Brooklynn sitting on the railings... Looking so grown up and so ready for a little sib I think! ;)

I love the anlges you took the Nemo characters outside... a great twist on the whole gang.

And OOOWW!! I can't imagine being strung. that does not sound fun at all!

great update and pics.

It was Jaws that did it for me.

<------ see sharkie on side if it is there tonight. :lmao:

Never been stung by a jellyfish-many barbs by a smarty pants hubby though...

Anyhow, I have a question I hope someone can answer. Why are therre cacti around the Nemo ride figures? Umm, last time I saw the movie, there were NO cacti. Just asking:rolleyes1

Great pics MeMom.

Hmmmmm! I think those are corals rather than cacti. :rolleyes1

No wait!!! I just looked at the photos again. You are right!!! Those are cacti! This prompts one of those rare moments when i must ask ... oh imagineers! What were you thinking?!? LOL

Brooklynn is our little souvenir from our anniversary trip so I guess we will have to add to our souvenir collection soon. Maybe I can convince MeMom to pay for my October trip if I promise her a souvenir

Sounds like a good idea to me. I bet she'd go for it!!

I suddenly feel the need to insert my favorite little Ogden Nash poem.

"Who wants my jellyfish?
I'm not sellyfish."
-Ogden Nash

(This post is a testament to my nerdiness.)

While I was reading your latest update Lexi (dd) was sitting on my lap she was so excited. "Nemo, Nemo," she kept saying. Now I am off to put in Nemo. She oves Nemo, well she loves all Disney movies, because I get her hooked on them. :happytv:

Reminder for tonight's Disney World special on Travel Channel!

I knew I liked you! Thanks for the support. I'm talking her down more and more. At first it was going to be all the way to next January, but I'm chopping it down a month or so at a time.

Like I really have anything to do with it. I'll just keep dropping my (not so) subtle hints at making it earlier than was originally planned. I think they're thinking seriously about it now, too, so I'll relax.

k_reile - I'll be anxious to hear from you on May 21st. Is that correct for the big reveal? We'll let you tell your family first, then you can head over here to show us a blue ribbon or a pink ribbon.

TCKK - There's not much to the ride part - just Haunted Mansion-like cars shaped as clam shells riding smoothly through the ocean. But, Brooklynn likes it and most little kids do. We enjoy seeing the live ocean animals at the end, and of course Turtle Talk is there.

And a gift shop. Surprise! It is very small, but it has some cute Nemo things. Brooklynn loves Nemo, so she loves the ride.

Nicole - I'm excited about camera phone shopping at World of Disney New York! You know, I was thinking, (dangerous, I know) and I have a two inch lucky cat and a four inch Eiffel Tower, both from Epcot, on my desk at school. I could just get a little bitty NY Minnie to put with those. My window is full of the plush Mickeys, Minnies, Goofys, Donalds, etc., so maybe I should just get something small to put with my tiny collectibles. We can see what they have when 'we' go out on the town at the Dismeet.

scottny - You can help them choose. I'm sure that's the way you want to spend an evening - looking for a Statue of Liberty Minnie doll for a 50 year old woman.

I always see your Jaws at the side. I've heard he disappears sometimes, but I always see him there.

punkin - Tomorrow night at this time, you'll be hanging out in the real magic, and we'll be youtubing our Disney fixes. I wish you a safe trip tomorrow as you travel, and we'll all look forward to seeing you adventures soon.

Go, relax, have fun, and put all the cares of the world behind you for a few days.

declansdad and pooksma - Where do your travels take you this weekend?

Many congratulations to Ma for finishing her classes with the following grades:A, A+, A+. Yeah, she slacked a little in the one, but we'll let it slide.

As for the cactus, I have no idea. There is cactus coral, but it looks nothing like that. I guess that stuff was there, and they just stuck the fish in amongst them?!?!

Are the boys taking you out for a special celebration dinner?

GorshGoofy -I need to walk to Disney World, too. Mine would be more than 442, though, so I'd better get started. I have just over two months and many more miles than that. Probably not gonna happen.

BrittBritt - No nerdier than my "I have a little shadow" poem.

pooh'smate - Brookie loves Nemo, too. Much like her mommy and her mommy's mommy, she likes every Disney movie. Just seeing these little ones enjoying all the things we already love is such a thrill.

Lovemy3babes - That's just the teacher in me, as declansdad and BrittBritt said. I try to deny it, and I try to run away from it on weekends and on vacations, but it follows me darn near everywhere!

swwake -Do tell. Why do you love possessive pronouns? Are you just as fond of contractions and adverbs? How do you feel about prepositions?

See you sometime after the show!

declansdad and pooksma - Where do your travels take you this weekend?

I am going to try to recruit some players for next year and pooksma get to take Declan to swim lessons.
