Good evening everyone! We had our fill of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, fried apples, rolls, mint chocolate pie, and apple cinnamon pie. What about all of you?
Then we crashed and watched Santa Clause 3, napped, read the paper, and played video games.
Tonight we went out to Opryland to see the lights display. It is a beautiful hotel, and it sure reminded me of Disney World tonight - lots of lights and lots of people! I took a few pictures, and if it is okay, I'll show you those eventually. Some of you might like to visit there sometime and come to see all the country music stuff. Hannah Montana is playing here tomorrow night, so it'll be even more crazy in downtown Nashville.
I know one of the things I really like about being in Disney World. Someone else prepares the meals and cleans up the mess. I've been in and out of the kitchen all day long, so I'm tired of being up to my elbows in soap suds and watching the sink being refilled as soon as I empty it.
The gang is in the kitchen eating leftovers right now. It's been a nice day. I hope you all had a wonderful day, as well. Now the peaceful feeling gives way to the chaos of Christmas shopping. Drew works in a toy store, and he's working 2-12 tomorrow. I'm sure he will earn his pay and will be exhausted by midnight.
Good luck to all who choose to brave the crowds tomorrow. I won't be in them. I'll be safely tucked away at home, savoring the rest of the peace and quiet before I go back to school on Monday. As soon as we get pictures loaded, I'll do a mini-report of the last few days.
