Okay, continuing with July 28th, later in the afternoon:
Jill, John, Brooklynn, and I headed to MGM. We were going to try to see High School Musical, but it was rained out. The first time we tried (earlier in the week) and got rained out, they did a short drive thru. This time, they did nothing.
No one complained, though, because they sent this guy to shoo us all away. Not the guy in the front. The big ugly guy in the back. I have no idea who the guy in the front is.
It seemed like every time we stepped foot in MGM, it set off the rain clouds. It didn't stop us, though. We would don the cheap ponchos and go. Of course, the inside of ponchos on a steamy Florida July day can double as steamers, so we pulled them off as soon as the rain let up to a drizzle.
We did a bit of Christmas shopping. Which one should I choose?
At Muppets 3D, Brooklynn found the key under the mat.
We had to make a point to see the Power Rangers for my little friends Taylor and Eli, because they LOVE Power Rangers. I gave them each a copy of the picture I took when we got home, and they are quite proud to know that the real live Power Rangers know them personally! As I've said before, Brooklynn had no fear of any character.
I don't know if she was too little to be afraid, or if she just knows we would trade her in if she didn't do well at Disney!
Well, we wouldn't trade her in, but we wouldn't like her as much.
Well, we'd like her as much, but..well, she just better do well at Disney World, that's all!
"Hurry, Blue Ranger (or was the other one Green? I can't remember.), we are needed for an important mission!" Even if you aren't into Power Rangers, I still think the way they exit is pretty cool. The music plays, the call for help comes, and the Rangers head off to save the day!
We ate at Toy Story Pizza Planet, which is a neat place for kids. Brooklynn did a little bowling.
She may have cheated a bit.
Sorry about the "behind" picture, Jill, but you're skinny, so it's okay. Right? Now please, I beg of you, NEVER repay me by taking a picture of me from behind!
I really like the decor here.
Another behind picture. This one's a bit wider! This is Mr. Potato Head's view from the top.
A little time for some wild ant riding at the playground.
A slide down the film canister. The family that rides down film canisters together, stays together. Now there's a sentence you don't hear very often!
We also saw Jill's boss again and talked to them for several minutes. I think this was their last night there, so they were trying to pack in everybody's favorites one more time before they left. They seem like a very sweet family to me. The kids were very well-mannered and friendly, and they talked to me like they knew me. I was very impressed with both kids.
Next, we went down under the sea...
and luckily, that bad Ursula lost her battle for Ariel's voice yet again.
Jill took pictures without flash, but this is probably a hard place to get good pictures. We'll try again on our October trip. I have mentioned that we're GOING AGAIN, haven't I??? My gosh, I'm like a little kid. Four weeks from right now, we'll probably be at...I'm not sure, but I know it'll be in Disney, wherever we are!
We were headed to Epcot to close out the day, so we took one of the Friendship boats. While we waited, the ducks kept the small crowd entertained.
It was still cloudy and drizzly, but we still enjoyed the ride past the Boardwalk. We just kept our fingers crossed that it would not rain out our evening too badly.
