kwitch, that's kind of you and your father to watch the house.

LegoMom, best of luck with the car situation. I was always excited for summer to start and the kids to be home, but it was also nice when school started again.

Today is my son's last day of school too. Actually he is already out and went to Olive Garden with some friends to celebrate. I thought he was going tomorrow, but tomorrow is for making up finals and his are done. That means.....he is now a SENIOR!

Oh and it's RAINING AGAIN. Yards have not even had a chance to dry up from the flooding rains we had recently.

Kwitch... sorry about the funeral.... But at least your little guy is looking at the positive... that she may not be here anymore, but that doesn't mean she not looking over him.

We could use a little more sunshine in PA too... the rain stopped, but it's still not nice out.

For father's day I took my 4 kids to the photographer and had their picture done so I'll frame it and give it to DH on sunday. he doesn't know I did this... he better like it.. otherwise he's getting a vacuum cleaner!

The last time I had all 4 kids together for a picture was when the little guy was 3 months old, so, they all changed alot.

The picture was a great idea! :thumbsup2

Daisyyy - great idea for a gift! I'm still trying to figure out what to do for mine. I've had many ideas but I probably should go with either the least expensive or the one that helps the most for the cruise.

Kwitch - good luck with the funeral. That's nice of you to split the watch time with you dad.

7 more days till DD can take her learner's permit test. God help me. Be thankful that you all don't live near us. :rotfl:

:scared: do you ever come to Bucks County? good luck to your DD.

I just realized I bought the wrong size frames... now I've got to find a nice frame before Sunday... I think he's still getting a vacuum... Mostly cuz we could use a new one. LOL... that's like the only thing he does occassionally.... if we're having a party or something.. then he will pull out the vacuum... otherwise he doesn't do it.. maybe it will be a hint... he's been a real.... *%!*^ lately anyway...

MQ.. I think getting something for the cruise is a good idea..

I just got a letter from the church..... my DS is scheduled to receive his
1st communion next May.... but it happens to be on the same day as my mom and dad's 50th wedding anniversary... which we were planning on having a party for them and invite a lot of their friends, etc... Of course there's gotta be a conflict.. my life couldn't be so simple... now what... and of course May is just a busy month to start... between Mother's day, and my DD's and DS's and Dsis birthdays... we wont have another free weekend... Maybe we can plan it for April..

My first morning of getting up and having only myself to look after!! I know it was the same over week-long breaks, but somehow with the whole summer looming ahead of us, this feels different! If I could sleep that long, I'd actually get another hour.

Oh well, up and on the DIS instead! :thumbsup2

...And the funeral tomorrow. DS and I had the sweetest conversation about it last night.
DS: "I'm really going to miss great-grandma"
Me: "It'll be okay. She's your angel now."
DS: "Is Jesus an angel?"
Me: "He's kinda the head dude."
DS: "So grandma is one of his helpers? Coo!"

I love that kid sooooooo much!

:sad1:

Car is gone and I'm truck shoppin'!! Well, SUV shoppin' I guess. Got my eye on the Ford Expedition and there are several around in our price range. Older, but still in real nice shape. I'm looking forward to having something that I can toss bikes and gear into without having to fold down seats (and also thus losing that seating!).

GORGEOUS day here! I am hoping to get a run in a little later.

How's everyone doing?.....popcorn::

LM - that's great! I hope you find a good SUV. I love my Armada because it's such a bus. I can fit a lot of people in it and a lot of stuff. Though I HATE parking it. I will park far away just so I don't have to risk trying to get in a spot too tight for the big red bus.

We had a truck to drive at the camp; it was a full-size Ford, double cab, with 8-foot bed!!....whenever I took it out shopping I would park the same way....WAY out on the edge so I could just pull in without maneuvering between cars!!

Mean Queen,

Happy Anniversary!

party:

Thank you! I'm very happy because DH was able to get back from his business trip early. He wasn't supposed to get back until tomorrow (and neither of us was happy about it.)

Mo'nin peepuls!!

Happy FRIDAY!....:banana::cool1::cheer2:

I've got the WEDway ride-through track on Live365 and all is well in my world. :lmao:

We've already got one vehicle lined up to go see tomorrow morning!! It's an Explorer. I don't think it has the 3rd row seating but it's a 4-door and there's plenty of cargo space in there. Also hoping to hear back on another that we're really interested in. It's an Expedition, V8 and a beast of a truck, but LegoMomma like. :thumbsup2

Hope one of them works out for you.

It's going to be a sunny day!!! :) It's so much appreciated after too many rainy days. I have so much I should be doing, but again I'm having difficulty finding my motivation. I'll toss in a load of laundry. That's a start.
