B&C questions??

(1) Which is better -- Beaches and Cream or Dolphin Fountain (food, value etc.) ?

(2) Which has more seating -- B&C or Dolphin Fountain?


As some may guess, I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it to bypass B&C and go to DF, especially in light of a 20% DVC discount...

never been to the DF but b/c is tiny I think 3-4 booths, maybe 6 or 7 tables and a counter for maybe 10-12 more. the food was good at b/c I thought for burger type food and our waitress Maria was great! we used 1 q/c voucher for 2 adults and couldn't finish the banana split we were so full .the savings were almost 50%

We ate at both in January, and I'd give B&C the edge, but both were great. Just the kids and I ate at B&C--their cheeseburgers were great and the Brownie al la Mode was to die for!

At the Dolphin Fountain all 4 of us had dinner--burger, BLT and chicken strips. The chicken strips were served in cardboard cars, which the kids loved! Very good, but I think the burgers from B&C were better. We didn't get ice cream.

I would say that each had about the same amount of seating area, although there were very few people at the Dolphin.

Either way you can't go wrong!

Beachs and Cream is definitely my favorite, their cheese burgers are delicious! We wanted to try a sundae, but we were too full. Oh well, next time. As mentioned above, the restaurant is tiny, so I would suggest to prepare yourself for a wait or go at an odd time of the day. We went in early December on a Sunday afternoon, about 2:30 and had a 30 minute wait for 5 adults. There is also seating outside, but the tables themselves are not very big, it would be okay to eat ice cream at them, but you might have to juggle to have space enough for burgers and fries. Another option would be to get the food to go, but the atmosphere of the restaurant is half the fun.

We ate at the Dolphin Fountain 2 years ago, I can't remember what the food tasted like, but I remember thinking it was pretty good. I definitely remember the strawberry milkshake being outstanding.
