Hi, can I look up last years ride wait times ? if so where.
:thanks:cal

Touring Plans has historical data for some rides. You might need to have a subscription to see that though.

You can look at current wait times using the My Disney Experience app, fyi.

Hi, so I can see if there is a pattern as to when the longest wait time are on a ride. Then I will know the best times to book fp+

The pattern is pretty simple. Minimal waits when park opens, increasing into mid-afternoon. Then decreasing to minimal waits at park close. Good rule of thumb on any day at any ride.

I generally recommend scheduling the first three FPs for late morning to mid-afternoon, as described in the Strategies Post in the FP FAQ.

Also during parades and Night Time Firework Shows you can see a little drop in wait times. Of course newer attractions such as Flight of Passage and Na'vi River Journey is going to have much longer wait times as well for a period of time as is thrill rides like Rock n Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, and Space Mountain. Then you also have the classic rides like Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion and even sometimes Dumbo that have longer waits.

There is no overall "best" time. Depending on what ride you're looking for FP's for, you'll be lucky if you just happen to get a FP for anytime. Let alone use historical data to try and scientifically conjure up the best touring plan.

Go look at the dining threads about being 180 days out with no ADR availability. People eat from before the park opens to when it closes. Some of the FP's out there are the same way.

It would be useful and interesting information if Disney actually posted actual wait times. But as it is, it's not very useful.

For instance, Little Mermaide will pretty much always say 20 minutes, even though it is a walk on.

What are some other rides that are like this and is there a good way to tell what any of them actually are?

Touring Plans has expected wait times, which aren't solely based on Disney's reported wait times, I think. Their Lines app also has a user reported wait time option, but that's only useful the day you are doing it. I think they use some of that data and Disney reported times, as well as actual Touring Plans employees observed wait times, to get their expected times.

Actually, I've found the Disney wait times to be fairly accurate. I don't think I've experienced a wait time longer than posted, and occasionally do experience a shorter wait (which I'm fine with). If I do see a wait time of 10-20min (whether at Disney or Universal), that usually means to me that the ride is pretty much walk-on. Some attractions have such long queue lines, it would take 10 min just to walk through it.
