does anyone know of a on-line store that carries blank white chipboard autograph books around 5 x 7?
I was getting kraft paper ones from Oriental Trading, but really want white so I didn't have to add the white paper to them.
have been looking around and haven't found any???
using them for upcoming MAW/Big give books...

thanks!

I use the chipboard that comes out of my packs of pages. the ones I get from J's has a white 12x12 piece in them. Otherwise I just use the brown kind and paper it. :)

Not sure where you live but our Pat Catan's craft stores have them. hey are what I used to make mine out of. A bunch of pages and a nice solid cover on the front and back (not sure if it's chipboard or not). They are 6 x 8 though and were only $1.99 I believe.

I haven't used them, but I used to know someone who did. You could always call and ask what the weight of the paper is.

The FAQS link on their website tells you all about the books. I've actually been looking for books like this as well. I'm not sure I'd use them for autograph books tho. One of their FAQS tells you that they do not recommend using permanent markers on the pages.
I did find that the book are acid free tho. :thumbsup2

I'm in WA State, we don't have that store....do they have on-line???

they probably won't work then, since most people use Sharpies.

will keep looking.......

Good to know!

so I found some white 6 x 6 chipboard squares on line at scrapbookwarehouse for a decent price....so I guess I'll punch a couple of holes and use ribbons to bind it together and see if I like that option, will let you know what happens!

I'm not much help. I have a Zutter - so I just cut my chipboard to size, and spiral bind it myself. I like 5 x 7 because the pages are so easy to run thru the printer, and I cut my cover just a bit larger (5.5 x 7.5 with inside pages 5 x 7).

I have never heard of a Zutter...will have to look into that!
thanks!

A Zutter lets you sprial bind whatever you want. It's super easy to use - and I'm not very good with tools. You can bind somethings a small as 4"

I make my own with my [Zutter] Bind it All as well, but I make my pages 8.5" x 5.5" because I'm lazy.

(Zutter is the name of the company; Bind It All is the machine. They also have a laminating machine and a bunch of accessories and supplies for the Bind it All. Or they did. I haven't looked at them since I was researching the machine.)

The first book I used for autographs was a sketch book that I bought at Michael's, but it was fat and had a ton of leftover pages when we finished! Now I can make my books about the same size, but with only a couple dozen pages instead of the hundred or so that was in the storebought album.

just got my bind it all yesterday, supply of 6 x 6 chipboard and owires so ready to make my books for the MAW/Big Gives!

Awesome!! always wanted a BIA but couldnt justify it. I was going to tell you that I found a pack of actual naked chipboard in black, brown and white at Joanns last night. I think it was like 30 sheets for $9.99 and it was on sale. it was just on a bottom rack under some stickers. I've ran out of materials for covers too, so I picked it up.

I actually found it on ebay for $50, came with an extra spacing bar and two rows of owires, haven't had a chance to play with it yet, will let you know how it goes!

More ArtCo news, stopped in today, they carry all sizes of naked chipboard in a few colors, pretty cheap $14.99 for 8 1/2x11-$16.99 12x12 i think they were 25 packs. :)
