state farm? or which is the best for a budget?


Which do you prefer if in Florida?

Shop around. I know when I priced a Florida policy it was almost twice what I pay in New York. It will all depend on location, vehicle, driving record & financial score. I priced State Farm, Nationwide, Allstate, Progressive, Amica & Geico and they were all close to each other.

I don't know who is the cheapest but we've had Geico for years. Someone rear ended us (we were ok) and they didn't have insurance. Geico was awesome! We had a check for repairs in 2 days and our insurance premium did not increase.

I know you want to save money but you also have to make sure the insurance company is a good one. I have friend who had either State Farm or All State, I can't remember which. Someone hit her and they had same insurance company. So you think everything would be fine, right? Well, she had nothing but problems trying to get them to pay and get her car fixed.

We recently moved from NY to Orlando and had esurance it was around 200 a month, we used creditkarma.com and they compared companies for us turned out that travelers was 90 per month for a 2011 sonata. HTH

We've lived here in FL about 2 years and have Traveler's Insurance. We haven't had to use it (knock on wood ), but I've had no problems otherwise and the rates are pretty reasonable.

We have had AAA (Auto Club South) for most everything a couple years now and like them - we switched from State Farm after they raised our Homeowners to a ridiculous amount

We have esurance currently but before that we had geico. Both are reasonable but esurance beat out geico by about $200 and gave us a bit more coverage.

I won't go with state farm, all state (which owns esurance) or travelers. They all wanted double than esurance or geico.
