Aurora's New Look Debuts at Walt Disney World

This was last sept. and I can't help but dislike the "velvet" and the crown seems like it may break.

Never cared for the old velvet looking dress. My DD and I like the new dress better.

i was hoping they'd improve her wig. i see that they didn't.

that dress is an improvement. her previous dress was pretty hideous.

i've never been impressed with Sleeping Beauty. while we've had some pretty ones, i've never met one with a great personality. she always seems so dull.

i am VERY afraid to see what they do to Snow White.

I am liking the new dress and look forward to seeing it in person in less than 2 weeks :woohoo:

The dress I don't have an issue with - but it's the 'friends' that they've been hiring that are a big miss. We haven't seen a 'good' Aurora since our first visit in 2007 and it seems like they've completely given up on even trying to find someone who resembles Mulan.

Thank you both - it really popped out about a week ago (week 24)!

Not to worry. It's worth it in the end. Although my first "baby" turns 20 in a couple weeks. And I'm still waiting on my belly to pop back IN. ;)

I have two photos with Aurora in the same location and same pose - thought some may like to see a direct comparison... just look past the preggers belly on the red head ;)

Ok I must say I like both dresses.. I'll make my mind up when I see it in person..
But I noticed the new one doesn't wear hardly any lipstick or maybe it's a VERY pale pink.. I feel it almost makes her look a little washed out..
I thought her lips were to " shame the red, red rose"???

It's an improvement but like Belle's new dress, the colors are off. Why not stick to the colors from the movies? O~o

I'm liking the new look! It's always been a disappointment that Disney doesn't go all out on the costumes (*ahem* Gaston's terribly fake padded muscles). It's the SOURCE and the last time I had a picture with Aurora, she had what looked like a foam crown ([edit] like the first picture in the post above)! I feel like I've seen better costumes from Halloween stores.

The bolded annoys me the most!!! Could Disney casting not look in the gyms and find an accurate Gaston? i find that impossible, given today's "GTL" culture. If we can't an Alice over 5'2, i don't want a Gaston with less than a 28 inch neck!!

Love Auroras new shoes! I too like the new look much better!

I love the new look. I thought the old look wasn't quite right somehow. The new one looks much more princessy.

I like the new dress and crown. The dress looks a lot lighter and more "flowy". And I kind of like the paler color too. I think so far, this is my favorite new dress.

I find this to be a vast improvement over Aurora's former bulky, oddly shaped gown with the gigantic neckline, too-short waist and oversized crown. I do wish they had used a better fabric--this looks to be on the rather inexpensive side. And, as always, I wish they'd dress her in proper blue. But she looks much, much better now than before!

Not a fan of the sleeves. They just don't look right with the cut of the dress.

I like the new dress. The CM in the first picture unfortunately doesn't do the character complete justice.
