Aurora's New Look Debuts at Walt Disney World

I like this one MUCH better.. The sleeves have better contrast..
And it makes the make up stand out more..

I totally agree. And once again it's because there's more contrast. You can actually tell she's wearing sleeves. And the pink is a little deeper.

Here's hoping it's cold enough in Anaheim this December to get to see this version!

Eeep! Love the edit of the new dress in blue! I wish they'd do that!!
I honestly love the re designs they have done so far, sometimes it does take a little bit of getting used to though. I also like that there's personal touches on all their shoes!

As pp's have said, Snow and Ariel are next, there's been a picture leaked on tumblr that I saw earlier today

Here's the source: http://disneycentralplaza.englishboard.net/t31893p140-nouvelles-robes-pour-les-princesses

As for the looks of the two to come, I'm okay with Snow, though I hope the material is more like the new designs, and not velvetey like the older costume. Ariel...don't even get my started on that one.,..will be nice to see it without a clashing blue background....

Okay I have liked the new designs of the princesses so far... But it that picture why do they make snows dress so much shorter than the others? I don't like that. And since Ariel is my fav disney princess, I don't like the new look!! It seems in that picture her hair is a darker red? And yes I have never understood why they don't put her in the pink dress in the movie... It was so pretty!

I love the dress...not too wild about the super-fake hair. I must say, and I don't mean to be rude, but that lady (from the OP) appears to be too old to be Aurora. :( Aurora was only 16 at the end of the movie. I don't expect Disney to hire a 16-year-old, but I think age is important. The same with Alice.

I don't care for the shorter Snow White gown either. Especially when that shorter overall length is compared with the dropped waist of the bodice. The dropped waist actually is very flattering on the other gowns, but not on Snow's shorter one. It's just not working for me.

And I'm hoping it's just a bad photo. But it looks like Ariel is missing a hoop skirt or something! She needs more poof!

Thats what it is... No hoop skirt! It has been bothering me all night!!

I also said something about not having any poof, in a another thread.. :goodvibes: I couldn't place why it looked sooooo off..
The top looks like it belongs to another dress.. And sewed on the skirt at the last second..
Or maybe the sleeves have to much poof, and it doesn't balance out in the skirt?

I can't wait to see Your takes on the newest dresses... You may need to improve them a little :scratchin:

I totally agree the top is out of balance with the skirt. I also think bodice is ill-fitting. Either they put the photo shoot together quickly and had to settle for the wrong size model, or the bodice is flared at the bottom to accommodate the poof of a hoop skirt but she didn't have one on for whatever reason. I sure hope that was just an issue for this shoot, and she'll have a hoop later.

And I doubt the top is sewn to the skirt. Most of these gowns are just 2 completely separate pieces but look like a dress when put together.

And I'm not sure if I'll try to make versions of these gowns. I have some fabric to do something similar to Cindy for one of our upcoming trips, but the others just aren't grabbing me enough to go to the trouble.

Moving this over to community where the respectful conversations can continue :)

Here are some more comparison photos. These aren't minem I found them online at: http: // radiod isney club.fr/nouvelle- robe-princesse- aurore/ (without spaces)

Much prefer the old style hair, which is closer to how she wore her hair in the movie. Hate the shoes, what is with the flower? At least her shoes should have matched the dress, it would have made more sense.

This is what I said!
They really need to re-think the lipstick, or at lest go back to the darker pink..
That pale pink lipgloss doesn't look good at all..

It would be so nice to see a Princess that didn't wear any make-up at all. Whatever happened to natural beauty?

The more I look at the old costumes versus the new, the most it seems like the old were really outdated. The Princesses looked they were going to an 80s prom. Nice to see them move into this century.

But the Princesses aren't meant to be from this century? :confused3 Otherwise they'd be running around with iPads and Cell Phones. Then they'd look like this :lmao:

Well, they aren't from the 80s either. So why were the 80s prom gowns any more acceptable?

But they didn't look like they were stuck in the 80's, they were wearing outfits that were a close match to their movies. The characters didn't "live" in 2013, they lived in various time periods.

Aurora should look as close as possible to the movie. I know they changed her dress from blue to pink (to keep her looking different to Cinderella) however I think her dress should be similar in style. This new dress is completely different.

The Princesses should look classic and classy. They're are Princesses.

I don't know anything about if this is real or not but I do think that Aurora is the one Princess that has never looked right when we've gone. Her wig is always a bit off/very fake looking and she's never the prettiest of girls (despite being Sleeping Beauty). So it wouldn't surprise me one bit to learn that this is an accurate photo

I just wanted to say :wave2:

I'm over in East Brainerd.

But I think it does look like in the movie...other than the colour. And I also I think some people are taking this subject waaaaaay too seriously. :(

There are elements of the dress that are similar but now the neckline of the dress is entirely different, there is a pattern all over the dress, the bodice of the dress should be darker than the skirt.

Character integrity is very important to me. Will I lose sleep over it? No. Will I write to Disney a complain? Absolutely. I hate the new Princess outfits and it will stop me from buying merchandise if this is what they look like.

I rarely respond to negativity on the Internet because I know it is futile, but I am truly disgusted by this whole thread. For those of you who are saying unkind things about this young woman's appearance, I hope that you do not have daughters yourselves. Imagine how you would feel if somebody posted your child's picture on the Internet and then proceeded to pick her features apart. What if this young lady sees this thread herself?? How would you like to read such horrible comments about your own physical features? She is a human being; she is somebody's daughter and friend. Shame on you.

I have come to the Disboards over the years to learn how to have a better Disney trip. I have felt as though the people here are friends that I can learn from. I to need to say the people who wrote these unkind comments should be ashamed. This is not what the disboards is about. At this time I'm not sure why the moderator hasn't removed this thread.

We stopped in to say hello to Princess Aurora twice yesterday. First to see her specifically and the 2nd time because the crown was up in place of Cinderella and we were hoping to see a different Princess. But we got these great pictures out of it!

This pose was Aurora's idea:

Then later that night with a 5 minute wait!- I think she looks so beautiful!

I think it's beautiful. I just wonder why the hair is so drastically different on every one? Maybe they are just testing different styles? I really like the curls on the second one.
