August Exercise Challenge: "Every Day is a Good Day for Disney - AND for Exercise"

I've been MIA for a few days.

Does this happen to anyone else? Life is hard/relationships are really hard... self-esteem goes down...you start to feel frumpy (and let's just say it - f.a.t.)...you find comfort in food...shocking eatting tons doesn't help your self-esteem...repeat.

I finally snapped out of it and I've gotten a runs in yesterday and today.

You are not alone, I was feeling that way myself the end of last week. Good for you for snapping out of it ! We are stronger than we give ourselves credit for :)

Well, life definitely caught up with me this past week. I had a death in the extended family and ended up taking a 3-day road trip to attend the funeral with my sister. So I'm a little behind in my training.

Sorry to hear about your family member.
(My like of your post is also related to the minutes ... I'm glad to hear you have gotten some minutes in despite the situation)

Story of my life.
I'm glad to hear you were able to snap out of it and get back on the right track!

So, I did my Wacky Wednesday exercise a day early ... assorted dancing, most of which I couldn't keep up with the steps.

28 minutes

Puts me at 785/1050, which is just a few minutes short of 75%. I should get there on my walk to Starbucks tomorrow.

All right! I'm over halfway. Not going to look at my schedule to see if I'll make it or not. Just going to keep plugging along. Temps are too hot for any outdoor activity and it's a bit smokey. Lisa--we're supposed to get a weather change in 2 days so maybe you will, too!! At least the temp will go down. Don't think there's any rain heading our way. :(

Keep up the good work everybody!! :cheer2::cheer2:

Thanks.

I am back on track - pulled off my training run last night, and I'm sitting here waiting for my food to digest so I can complete today's training run before work.

Tuesday - 27 minutes running.

So sorry for your loss, PSUTraveler. Kudos to you for getting right back on track with your activity. :flower3:

Yay you for snapping out of it and getting right back on track! :yay: Last week's Weight Watchers meeting was on this exact same topic. It's a tough cycle to break.

Yep, it's definitely hard to get that activity right now. We had unhealthy air quality levels for anyone which is really unusual. We already have a red flag warning up for the front. As you say, we really could use some rain and none in sight. :sunny: Hang in there! :flower3:

52 minutes of walking brings me 852/1000 Hoping for a nice run outside on Saturday morning but until then I miss my running group.
