Mindelmouse....noticed the below when I was reading though the thread....looks like you can cross them off the FE list. Only particularly noticed as they are from Northern England like me and I've not come across anyone else near me that'll be cruising with us!

Sadly we have had to re arrange our plans and have had to cancel our cruise. We have moved it to a dummy reservation and are now looking at cruising 2014. Hope you all have a fantastic cruise.

Thanks Mindelmouse - the countdown is really on now isn't it. So happy to be finally counting down in weeks now rather than months. It seemed so long when we booked back in April 2011. Didn't tell the girls until January this year though; it seemed long enough for us but for them to wait that long would seem like a lifetime for them.

As both girls have never cruised before they keep coming out with some funny questions. Dd1 thought we had to climb a rope ladder at the side of the ship to get on - pirate style!!! Dd2 asked what you did if you needed the bathroom on board. Told her there were plenty on board...did she really think she'd have to cross her legs the whole time!! They just have no concept of what it'll be like. Can't wait to see their faces.

We just came off the NYC 2 night cruise today. It was awesome. Hope that our 8 nighter is just as cool, although I aim to make it a little more relaxing than this past weekend.
Now I can focus on this cruise (my 4th and last DCL cruise for 2012). Can't wait to see the final FE list, so that I can start the gifts. All kiddies will get a little something. Purchased a lot of the basic stuff months ago, but now need to assemble and be "creative" with what I have.

The nice thing about travelling from NYC is that I don't have the restrictions of the airlines and I can carry on the fragile and liquid stuff if I want to.

Yes , you can carry alcohol on board as long as it is in your carry on bags.
Getting off the ship all bottles I was told need to be consumed or sealed, nothing half empty. My last morning in June on the Dream cruise, my coffee was loaded up on extra Amarula. Good thing I wasn't driving.
