This is the first August that we would prefer to have a room only discount rather than the FD. (Family of 5 "officially" now that DS is 3, have to stay deluxe....) I just looked at Mousesavers website to see if/when room only discounts came out for August. It said June!! Wow. How am I gonna be able to wait that long!!!!

Who has gotten a good room only at the end of August?

Yes, I received a room only pin for that time. It was 20% value, 30% mods, 40% deluxes.

Make sure you also call to check to see if there is a pin connected to your name. We decided to book our trip at the end of Aug last Monday, since the dining reservations would open up this past Friday. When I called to book & gave her our dates, I asked if there were any offers for it. She said she was checking right then & did see 2 offers - 1 that I would be able to use. It was for 40% off deluxe, which I'd rather have than free dining since we're staying at Poly & that will save me more money. We had originally planned to book a lot of TS meals, just in case free dining came out, but went w/ the shortened version of meals instead. So, never hurts to check!

I don't know if you are aware, but a family of 5 can stay in POR in the alligator bayou section. There is a small pull out trundle bed for your youngest to sleep on. We are a family of 5 (three kids age 10, 8, and 5 for our next trip) and stay there every year. We booked the free dining bounceback offer for August. The room is $149-$159 but that includes dining for our family of 5! Great deal for us!

Of course, if you want the extra space of a deluxe, that's fine too. Just wanted to give you another option if you weren't aware.

So...I planed and booked my vacation this year to celebrate my 17th Anniversary…

Yeah! …well…

We are taking our 9 year old and our 11 year old…and

my parents…

and my neighbors… ( 2 A & 2 kids-same age)

So that’s 10 of us in a family suite and a one bedroom in the All Star Music for 6 days with the Deluxe dinning plan.

My cost will be over $5,000.00….please help! Anyone know how I can get a pin to save some money?

I've seen the room discount offered with PIN codes for the rest of the year.

And for all Rooms -
Save at least 25% at select Disney Resort hotels for stays most nights 2/10/10 to 8/14/10.

We are waiting for either the extention of the room discount only or a PIN for Room discount only.

They have the gift card promotion going on now, which is good until August 14TH. It must be booked by March 26TH, I believe.

How much is the card for Values ??? I know I got a $300 card in Feb at Pop!!!

As long as there is still availability, it does. I believe they qualify as a moderate and would get them a $500 gift card rather than $300.

We went last year in Oct and got free dining through a travel agent. I was hoping to wait and get the same deal this year in late Aug. Do you have to have a pin to get the deal? Also-hoping to stay @Pop for 4 or 5 nights with the FD and maybe upgrade to CBR for 2 nights-can I get a pin for that too?

You could get a pin, but many don't. Right now, the only way to get free dining is with a pin code. I have not gotten it yet either. But many feel that the public code will come out in late March/ early April. Only time will tell. There have also been room only discounts in past years, but so far nothing going beyond August for this year. I am sure with time they will come out as well.

I got an email code for a room only discount last night but I really want to hold out to see if FD will be offered since it will save us more then the room only. I think the email said it would be 30%, and it covered all of Aug and into Oct.

beautyqueen - just email Disney Destinations back and tell them they sent it to the wrong email address and have them forward it to me!!!


How I wish that would work!!!
