Thanks for the info on the passports, I had the applications in the 'cruise folder' with the intent of doing this 'when I had time.' Because Victoria's passport is only good for five years, I wasn't in too much of a hurry to get one so far ahead of the cruise.

We went to CVS for passport photos and have an appt at 8am at the post office tomorrow morning to apply. Most offices around here do not have Saturday passport hours, and then you must make an appt. One less thing to take care of - but added more money to the cost of the cruise.

Sort of finished the Policies and Procedures manual today. It's an outcome based manual using PEOPLE FIRST language. A coworker and I got into several giggle fits at some of the wordiness of it all and laughed until we cried. It's just been a stressful week and it was a nice way to finish it all off. A few touches and it will be off to the printers. Finished the FAMILY HANDBOOK this week too! It's so nice to finish up these projects after years in development!

Good Morning!!! I am sitting here drinking my tea debating if I should bring my new car (after 12 years of mini-vans finally got to the point in life where I don't need one anymore!!!!) to the car wash or wait until it gets above freezing!!!! It was 14 degrees this morning!!! I am done with winter...bring on the warmth!!!

DD16 was so cute....we picked up the car the night before she left for 10 days in WDW and she brought me home "Mickey Fuzzy Dice" to hang from my rearview mirror since she knew it does not have an external antenna for my Mickey antenna toppers...she though this would be a nice substitue!!!

Nope just the ever present hockey game right after work. By the time we rush home, eat, drive for over an hour, 2 hours at the arena, drive home, relax for an hour and then go to sleep the Fools came in second to the family last night
Gonna have breakfast then off to do a bit of overtime. Megan's 12th birthday party this weekend with them going to a show tonight then a sleepover of 6 or 7 girls. Sleepover is really an oxymoron. They're over here but very little sleep occurs from past experieces

Kept our 8am passport application appointment today. I'm sure it wasn't necessary but there was a long line at the post office today for all kinds of stuff. I guess the word about an increase in price has jammed them up because the man told me there were appointments every half hour all day.

Hmmm fuzzy dice sounds lovely for your new car MJ! It's funny, I don't really need a mini van but I sure do love it. It works for cargo, camping gear, two dogs and parental units and then some pretty well. I don't know if I'll ever drive a regular car again!

I say wait until it's warmer to wash the car, I've had locks freeze before and since then I always wait to wash.

Our not-too-exciting plans today are: Home Depot, Library (gonna look for the KITE RUNNER as recommended by Kathy), bank and going to see the PACIFIER this afternoon.

Jennifer hope you are feeling relaxed today and everyone in your household is feeling better.

Erica, continued thoughts for your speedy recovery!

Poignant and sadly all too true - a work acquaintance and his wife (who I also know) lost their 14 year old son just over a week ago when he committed suicide in the morning before school - no public reason or background identified but I understand that there were "social" problems at school with possible behavioural issues and bullying.

It's been a really dreadful couple of months with sudden death, tsunami loss, discovery of pretty serious cancer, and now this - all in close acquaintances.

I'm generally a very happy person who's bottle is always at least half full, but when things like this happen, it definitely rattles your equanimity and you have to say "There but for fortune ....."

Anyway, they say a trouble shared is a trouble lightened - so thanks for listening for a minute.

About the tip calculator....the OP forgot to add the link so I helped her out!!! The only good thing about travelling without the whole family is that I am only responsible for my tips...much less money!!

UPS says my Chadwick's order left Warwick, RI last night with an expected delivery of Thursday. Thanx to that OP, too!

I found fancy girls dresses at Sam's Club (of all places) that matched in sizes 2 and 8!! I bought 2 different sets for the girls to wear on the cruise. You don't often find matching anything in those two sizes! Fun!!

I'm gonna try scanning the DCL Islandgram for everyone to see. I have to scan it, resize the pics, host the pics, then link to them right? Wish me luck!!
