Hopefully I didn't overstep my authority, but I got so excited about the prospect of teaching one of your classes, I decided to contact DCL to set it up. I was worried you were too busy now that you have a part time job, plus all the posting you need to do, so I did it myself. Anyway, I called Debbie, the person helping you with the dining effort. She only handles dining, but connected me with the person in charge of "Special Events". Her name is Juanita Gomez-Esperanza, but she likes to be called JayGee. Anyway, I explained what you were trying to do, and she was very helpful. I was going to just set up my course, but she said since we wanted one a day, we ought to put in our request now so she can deconflict it with other scheduled events. So I gave her your entire class schedule and requirements. She reviewed it all and said she can make it happen. The only hurdle will be coordinating it with the agency that has exclusive rights to sponsorship of all Special Events. According to the contract, we have to guarantee a minimum of 10 participants per course. I didn't think that would be a problem. Also, there is a $50 per person charge for each event, and they have to count each day as an event. In order to hold the slots, she will have to charge the 10 times 50 times 14, or $7000 now. She has your charge card info from your cruise payments and said she will charge that amount unless she hears from you by tomorrow. She says the charge will not show up as Disney, but go to the special events contractor. You will see the charge under JGE. If you need her direct line, drop me a PM. I just got a call from Frontier about our flight being cancelled and changed from a nonstop flight to a connecting one. They also changed the time from leaving at 9PM to 6:10 PM. Not that bad of a problem since they have to transfer our luggage from one plane to the other (I didn't know that since we always fly nonstop) and we get in at 10:30PM instead of Midnight. They said we could cancel without penalty since they changed everything, but I know I won't be able to come close to the $267 for the 3 of us so we'll just leave earlier.

Is everyone else that's on that flight keeping their ressies or changing?

Arlene, please sign my DH and I up for the tea at Palos'. It might turn out to be the sister who is also on the cruise instead of the DH. We'll see. He is not into wings and wrek, especially not wrek. And I have to admit he does drink tea occasionally usually iced.

LOL at izzinmacs' offer to arrange the classes thru JGE. Sisters know what happens when JGE steps in...foul ups.

We are also suffering from bitter cold. The high today is going to be 13 and the windchill is variable between -1 and -5. Tomorrow we are actually supposed to get snow. No warmth just snow. The wind chill tonight is due to be around -15. Very unusual for around here.

We are also on that flight. I posted about the change when I first found out about it. I really wanted a non-stop, but like you can't find anything that matches 5 people for $454. I did speak with them and told them that we were travelling with my DM 77 and she couldn't walk distances. They told me they would meet us at the plane in Denver with a wheelchair when we change planes.


Arlene, I think I already signed up, but if not I would love to do tea. My DM also is a tea drinker, no coffee for her.
