The Promenade Lounge is actually quite large. They used to hold Jackpot Bingo in this area until they restructured part of it to be used as the Internet Cafe.

I would say 100 people or more could fit into the area.

There should be plenty of time to meet after the Lifeboat drill. Dis members can mingle for a little bit and then work their way up to Deck 9 and 10 for the Cast off party.

When a final decision is made on the meet can we post it on the end of this post say a week before we go so that we are all sure on where the meet will be? Is that a good idea?

Thanks for the very funny poll ThreeCircles. How about an alternative? Could we meet around 3:30 or 4:00 pm before the life boat drills? Then if people want to chat more, we can plan to meet again at the Sail Away party or at 5:30? Thirty minutes is barely enough time to say hello to everyone; this is a big group. I had the pleasure of meeting several other DIS families on my last cruise and I can assure you that we spent much more than thirty minutes enjoying each others' company! This sounds like a great group and I, for one, wouldn't want to miss an opportunity to get to know you all better. Unfortunately, we won't be at the Radisson the night before or on the Captain Marvin's trip. (Actually, I STILL haven't decided on excursions yet - this is so unlike me).

The added bonus is that we will most likely see a few other DISers looking silly with life vests on. Just a thought ...

Just figured this thing out. Coming down from Niagara Falls, Canada arriving in Port on the 14th to enjoy a couple of day of R&R at the Rad. Resort at Port before boarding the boat.


PS. for those of you there, we're the Canadian's in the van full of everything for a long trip and two very excited girls on their first cruise set to go on Aug. 16th
