So if you hear french words near you don't hesitate to say "bonjour"!! it's gonna be us

DH is looking for someone to practice his French on. He goes up to Quebec quite often on business and he found that the people want to practice their English on him.

Starwood that is perfect !

Your DH can practice on us all he wants......
But you have to let our DD practice english on you:p

To all the kids that will be on our ship - when the "older kids" have their meeting on deck 7, we can have our own meeting.

Please post a reply that you will be at the kid's meeting.

Starwood,

Save some pins for me!;) We get in around noon and I would like to check out the outlets before heading over to the Radisson also. Thanks for reminding me. I had completely forgotten.

Sorry I will probably go to the "older kids" meeting anyway.

 Hi, my name is Ashley. I am the daughter of Linda1. I am 12 and i can't wait to get on the cruise!

Just an idea........................................i was thinking that the kids could all go to the "older kids" meet and then set up another time for the kids to meet. That way we can all get to know each other and their parents. We could also set up a kids meet for us kids that are going to be at the Radisson Friday night. Any suggestions?????? :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

How old is the younger group here. My daughter, 9, would love to meet up with others on the boat. We are staying at the Hyatt (Orlando Airport) the night before

Hello all!

I was just thinking, do we know for certain that Deck 7 is going to be open prior to the Lifeboat drill? I know that the doors to that deck are closed and locked around nightfall each night. Just wondering if they will be open prior to the drill?

If not, previous Dis meets have taken place in the Promenade Lounge and turned out rather nicely. That area is centrally located, very easy to find, and also has, hick-up, drinks! ;)

Hi buzzdad100,
The parents that i addressed my previous post to have kids ranging in ages of 10-13. I chose them because i am 12, but your daughter and anyone else are welcome to meet with me (soon to be us (hopefully;))). To find out more about the age groups go to ThreeCircles's website:

Jason, I'm glad you brought that up. I was thinking that we are quite a large group now and the Promenade lounge might be a better (and bigger) place to meet. I've read that Rae's group (8/2 sailing) will be meeting there after the safety drill. I'm a little worried that the early seaters (I'm laughing now, that sounds so awkward) might feel rushed if we meet at 5:30. Just thought I would throw that out there to confuse everybody.:)

Really, could we all just meet at my house so we can work this out. :p :p :p

ok Linda -- sounds great...
what's your address again???

Point taken though that you "early seaters" could be rushed by the whole thing....if we were all to meet at the Promenade what would be a better time (keeping in mind -- some of us "late seaters" might feel a little too lazy by that time but....LOL)

thinking about both seatings, gosh [in my best Mickey voice] um....(edited to avoid the BD backlash!) ;)

This doesn't all sound to bad. We are going to the Radisson so that will work. I think on the ship the kids should go to the meeting and meet each other.

Hey - Lisa and Jim (10yrann). I guess you guys are departing shortly. Just wanted to wish you a safe drive to Port Canaveral. Hope your stops along the way are enjoyable. See you onboard the Magic!

The Promenade Lounge sounds good to me. Unless, of course, DCL is planning to hold either the Walt Disney or Roy Disney Suite for all of us to use... lol.

Linda - I don't think Rae and her followers can be considered a group. A more apropos term would be "cult." What with all their strange and ominous shrimp-eating rituals...

I've heard that many of them wear grass skirts and war paint to the buffets...

The meet is scheduled for after the lifeboat drill. Would there be enough room in the Promenade Lounge? I thought that was smaller than Deck 7 (but I could be wrong:rolleyes: ) I also thought we night be a little rushed for those of us having early dinner - but at least we will have had a quick meet. Frankly I don't care where or when (as long as I have a drink:teeth:

OK, things are getting really wierd here on the DIS. First somebody dreams about Verandah Man (Captain Andy) and last night I dreamed about Shirley and Norm!!(Perfect Gift)

In the dream, Shirley was featured on the Food Network making Key Lime Pie! (What else? lol!) Then her store was featured on the Travel Network. She had this HUGE warehouse of stuff to choose for your baskets. "I'll take one of those and two of those......" I know, I know, you guys are not my therapist, but I did think it was kind of funny..... In the dream, DD and I were so excited about meeting her. (DD does think she is a celebrity, along with Barb and Tony :) )

Promenade Lounge sounds good to me -- drinks, waiters, comfy chairs and fellow DISers! I am sooo ready for this vacation!
