It was 3 degrees when I woke up there this morning. Thankfully, it did snow there over the weekend. I am not back in Florida and back in 70 degree weather.

The house inspection went very well. Nothing major which is a relief. Up next, the appraisal. Hopefully, it goes as well as the inspection did. Fingers crossed...

It was brutal here today - that temp really smacks you in the face when you walk out the door! Good luck with the rest of our home process.

Hi everyone,
My family and I will be joining all of you on the Dream. Can't wait to sit and relax and enjoy the ship.
Sent all of my information to jenanderson and I am looking forward to chatting with everyone.:goodvibes
On the cruise will be me, DH, DD18 and DD15 (at time of cruise)

Welcome aboard!!!

Hello Everyone,

My wife is looking for magnet paper and can't find it at the traditional office supply stores. Any suggestions:confused3

TIA

Joe

Would Michaels have it? If they did, you can use their 40% coupon off one item. We just used the magnet tape and just put small pieces on our decorations and it worked just fine for us.

Chilly morning here in CT, but I guess to Jen 5 degrees would seem warm. DH has been shoveling snow off roofs two weekends in a row (and not ours), lots of friends and family are having problems with ice dams and water damage. More snow predicted Tues, Wed and Thursday this week, but I think they are being downgraded.

We are on Day 5 of snow days. The distict will allow one more and then it starts taking away from April break, but with Thursday first. So the kids would be off Mon-Wed, school Thursday and off again Friday for Good Friday. Does this make any sense :confused3 My fingers are crossed for morning delays or early dismissals. As much as I love a snow day I'm sick of them now.

Kristen, so jealous of your Dream tour. What a great experience. Fingers crossed for your family that it all works out for you.

Loving all the videos posted with ship tours. My DS is already complaining that he doesn't think the Edge is as cool as his sisters Vibe :sad2: UGH!

I need to start spending some time trying to find flights and car rentals. My parents have decided to drive. We're the only family going the week before (staying in timeshare) and will leave Sunday after cruise. DD starts High School and I don't want to risk her missing an orientation, plus the sports teams start practicing in August. Need to get the kiddies back home.

Stay warm everyone!

Soo cold here too this morning...I honestly was hoping for a delay this morning.....LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks, like more snow in the forecast for this week here in CT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared1::scared1:

Hey Jeff,
Thanks for your advice about the concierge bookings for our May cruise. I emailed the concierge people for the 5/19 cruise with the dining requests. Since this will be the 3 day cruise with only Steve, I told them we weren't that interested in doing the regular dining restaurants, especially since we'll be doing them with the kids on the 8/16 cruise. So I managed to get Palo for the second night and Remy for my birthday night. And that first night: I think we'll just stay in our room and order room service.

One tip for everyone who is doing concierge (not us on the Aug cruise!): even though I emailed the concierge desk beforehand, I also did get on at midnight when the 120 day booking started. Lo and behold, it was undergoing maintenance (seems to be happening a lot from what I've been reading on the boards). So when I woke up in the morning around 5ish I got online then, was able to book a couple spa treatment, but wasn't able to book Palo or Remy as it said that nothing was available. When the concierge phone line opened a few hours later, I called and managed to book the two restaurants. The concierge told me it was a good thing I called because the ressies were going fast even at the 120 mark. And later on in the day, someone else called me from concierge and told me they had just seen my email. Apparently, it wasn't really looked until then. So I'm glad I took those extra steps.

Glad to hear that you will be at the Wilderness Lodge afterwards and it looks like our dates coincide nicely too! The girls will be very happy to see even more of Little Miss Sarah.

Beth

Beth,

Thanks, for the info. on the concierge booking. I have not heard from them regarding this cruise!! Should I have??:confused3:confused3

Hey everyone,

I was at our local Disney Outlet on Saturday. The store had a huge sale on costumes (the good princess ones they sell at the park) for $16 which is a huge savings over regular prices. So Skye and Hope are now proud owners of garb worn by Jasmine, Pocohantas and Belle. Needless to say, there were lots of princess tea parties going on in my house this weekend.princess:princess:princess:

Beth

Great deal on the costumes!!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Skye was scared of going down the water slide at the WL the last time we were there. I have a feeling she'll be going down it with gusto on the August trip, especially if she tries out the Aqua Duck first. Hope is eager to do both, but Skye isn't so sure about the Aqua Duck. Time will tell....

Beth

I am a little concerned about the height requirement for Aquaduck. Sarah is 45 inches and I doubt that she will grow three inches in 7 months. Maybe she'll grow two inches and perhaps they (CMs) cut her some slack. :goodvibes

Jeff

Wow, sounds like you guys have been on a roller coaster ride! and not in a good way. At least it seems as if everything is getting sorted out now, and how exciting to be able to preview the Dream for a day! I always wondered who those "day people" were when they would announce that all people not cruising had to disembark.

Where is the Disney outlet? Are you talking about the one at Potomac Mills?

Thanks, I too am glad that the "roller coaster" of a week is over..Hoping, it stays "calm" for a while here.........I hate to say it but would love a snow day this week that I could just catch up on some much needed rest.......................

I am going to have to listen more closely next time in Aug. to hear them announce that non-cruising passengers have to leave the ship. I must not have heard it before since it did not affect me....LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck for your meeting !!
Could you take :goodvibes that nap ?

I just got home : worked 12 hours , with 20 minutes break !!:scared1:
Here is hoping that NOT all my week days will be like today !!! or
:lmao: I'll be extremely THIN for our cruise .... :rotfl2:

CIAO all !! :grouphug:

Oh my gosh Laura, you poor thing those are some long hours!!!!!:scared1::scared1:

Though it's a balmy 21 degrees here at the moment :rotfl: the "forecasters" are calling for temps to creep into the mid 30s by mid-week so we're looking at rain or a mix here.

My car said 2 on the way to school this morning.......Wayyyyyyyyyyyy, to chilly for me!!!:scared1::scared1:

Beth and Steve are sailing concierge on a 3 day Dream cruise in May. Our August cruise they are not concierge.

We are sailing concierge and I am trying to find out about the "gates" that seem to separate concierge from the rest of the ship. I, for one, am not happy (if in fact that is the case) since it will be inconvenient for people to come visit and it will affect participating in the FE.

My TA is on the Dream now. She told me she would look into the potential segregation and let me know.

My TA just got off the Dream and she said that it was indeed gated the entire concierges floor making it VERY hard to partake in an FE exchange. She said it was keyed acess only to that area of the ship..I am thinking that I will hang my FE on my parent's room~~making their room a "double" stop for them and for our gifts.........

How far in advance does concierges contact you???

Check out this "Dream Tip" video from PassPorter!

All the stateroom corridors have world maps woven into the carpeting. When standing facing the map, "North" is towards the front of the ship so you can always know which direction to go when entering a hallway! :thumbsup2

DH, and I just watched this. Great Find!! Love, all of the little details that Disney had done on this ship!! Can't wait to see her in person!!

Hi Kritter, Jeff is right .... I was talking about getting to make dining reservations at the 120 day mark for my 5/19 cruise. We aren't in concierge for the August one.

Jeff, if need be depending on how DCL resolves this concierge gate issue, you guys are more than welcome to hang your FE on our deck 10 door with ours! I like Kritter's innovative ideas!

Thanks, Beth. I think if Jeff hangs his FE on your door and I do it on my parents it still allows for us both to partake in the FE exchange......I think with a few of us in concierges this may make it the best way..

Did the concierge team contact you before your 120 mark?? I am booked with a TA and have never gotten an email from concierges yet...Is it too soon for them to contact me??Thanks,!!
