DGH would like to know IF Disney has properly acted with THIS ship :this means IF you can see somewhere a GRUMP character or a GRUMP painting or a GRUMP as part of the Enchanted art things !!!

Happy New Year Everyone!

As I prepare to book flights for the last leg of our trip in August, I was curious how many of you have made flights home from DCL in Orlando earlier than their recommended departure of 12:30pm. Each time I have cruised out of Orlando I have always opted for a later flight home and have been tortured in the airport with my family all day. This time around we are traveling with another family with little ones and I don't want to put them through the same ordeal.

Also, we will be hiring private transportation from the cruise to the airport.

Any thoughts?

On our first cruise we had a flight that departed @ 11:50 maybe even 11:30 and we made it in plenty of time. We made sure we were one of the first passengers off the boat and we were picked up around 8:00 a.m.....

We have always used Sams Transportation. Not sure how many drivers he has but he has always been Great. I can send you his information. I already have him booked for the cruise too!!

One option that you may want to consider is getting a day room at the Hyatt at MCO, I know a lot of families do that too if they have a later flight!!!

I would for sure book the flight @ 11:30 you'll be fine...........We were totally fine...........just get right up on the last morning and be one of the first ones off the ship!!!!!!

Now that most everyone has their pre and post cruise plans set!! Anyone, want to try to do dinner before the cruise the night before??

Also, anyone want to do a post cruise dinner at WDW?? I am happy to organize both!!!

We will be at WDW pre-cruise and won't be able to make dinner the night before at the port (which is where a lot of the group is staying I think). Post cruise would be cool - we will be back at WDW.

We are debating our pre-cruise ADRs right now. Decisions.... decisions...

Hello Everyone!

It has been a busy sort of day here. Paul and I did a 9 mile run to start our day as we continue to train for the Princess 1/2 marathon in 4 weeks! I have also worked on our cruise website - lots of new people joining in and sharing information. I know that I have to start getting some of the wonderful new information that is coming out about the ship on the page but I have not had much time. I could do it this afternoon but my plans include finishing some of the work I brought home and taking a nap. I think my lovely DD shared her cold with me and I feel horrible this afternoon.

Thanks to everyone who is posting all the great links! It has been fun to be able to go through a few of them and get all excited about our trip again!

I would love to have you organize it! Our GOAL is to be at port the night before and we HOPE to be at WDW after the cruise. It is hard to say what we will really plan because with a new job...I have no clue yet about what my summer will look like.

Laura - Tell Marco that I agree that Disney needs to pay more of a tribute to his wonderful GRUMPY!

Each time I have cruised out of Orlando I have always opted for a later flight home and have been tortured in the airport with my family all day.

Oh my...this cracked me up! We always go for the "safe" later flights and the waiting time in the airport is SO horrible! I say go for the early flight. If we were flying this time, that is what I would do!

I am taking care. I had a big glass of OJ (even though it is not good for the diet). It is just that my throat is SO scratchy. YUCK!

Laura - Thanks....I will take care. I think I have just had some really long days, it is really cold outside and I am finally relaxing a bit after a hard fall. All of this, plus Emily's cold germs in the house, have allowed me to get the cold.

I will try to write you tonight but if I do not get to it....expect a note from me at some point during the week. I want to send you a nice letter that you can read on your long ride to work.

I just wanted to pop in and say hi! It has been a super busy day for me today, and I have a meeting later tonight. I got about 3-4 hours of sleep last night and I am completely exhausted. I have so much to do before my meeting tonight. I'm hoping I can squeeze in a power nap....it's going to be a long night! I'm going to try to go back and read some posts later.
