August 5th:
Today our day began at 7:15am with a wake up call from Mickey and Friends. We showered and grabbed our Pop Tarts and headed for the bus stop. We waited about 10 minutes when our EPCOT bus arrived. When we arrived at EPCOT the Jamminators opened the park with some wonderful beats that are sure to wake you at 8:45 in the morning. We both love the Jamminators because they are pretty unique. After entering the park and getting oriented, we headed to Test Track. We entered through the singles lines because the main entrance is not opened. We waited about 5 minutes and headed for our car. In front of us was a couple who had never been on the ride before. I simply told them to hold on to there hats because this one was awesome. After riding Test Track, they agreed. Ron decided he wanted a Test Track shirt and pin and bought one as I waited outside the store.

After Ron's first "official" WDW purchase, we headed for Body tours and waited about 5 minutes for the next show. We both enjoy this ride and find ourselves laughing as is moves and wiggles. We both decide we are thirsty now and head for Ice Station Cool. Ron has never been here and neither have I. So we sample the soda's. But I made sure to stay away from the Italian soda. But I don't tell him that. (Hehehe) He drinks it and exclaims, "Ugh. It taste's like cough medicine!" I got a little giggle out of that one. After our Ice Station Cool experience, we headed to Ellen's Energy Adventure. Neither of us had been on this ride since 1988 so we were not sure what expect. We enjoyed the area with the dinosaurs and found it rather informative.

We headed to Innoventions and walked around a bit. But many of the computers were already frozen and it was still early in the morning. So, we decided we'd head somewhere else.

Once again, the shopping bug grabbed hold and we decided to head to Mousegears, again. We walked around and I bought a tee shirt for a friend. We then headed into World Showcase, where I got a big surprise, the Character bus. We stopped to take a few pictures with them.

We began our tour of the World Showcase with Mexico. We decided to ride El Rio Del Tiepmo because neither of us had been on it. I liked the concept but had a tough time hearing what was being said over the rides music. Nevertheless, I enjoyed what visuals the ride had to offer. Ron and I spent some time looking in the shop within the pyramid and the headed to Norway where we wanted to ride the Maelstrom. We had no wait on this ride and were happy with that. We skipped the movie following the ride because we had already seen it. I couldn't resist, so we stopped in Kringla and got a piece of chocolate pie. I made sure to eat it slowly and savor each bite because it's my favorite.

After a bit of strolling around we noticed it was almost lunch time and headed to the Germany Pavillion. We decided to have lunch in Sommerfest. I had a ham sandwich with swiss cheese and mayo. Ron had a chicken sandwhich with some mustard.

After our long morning, we headed back to Port Orleans. We had a swim in the pool and Ron had a short nap. At about 3pm we decided to head back to Epcot and over to Canada. We didn't want to miss our Priority Seating at Le Cellier. We love this reataurant because the service is wonderful and the food is great too. We shared asome Canadian Chedder Cheese Soup and ate some of their wonderful bread. I had the 10oz Top Sirloin cooked Medium well and Ron had the 14 oz New York Strip Steak cooked medium. The steak was awesome. About the time we finished out meals, we could hear thunder outside. The people began to pour inn. So, we made our ressie's at a good time. We, of course, saved room for desert because that's the best part of the meal. Ron had the Crem Brulee, while I opted for a desert on the kids menu, Smores. They were both so yummy. I am getting hungry just thinking about the food!

We left Le Cellier and watched O! Canada because the rain was still steady. I love this movie but wish that there were swivel seats in the theatre. When the movie was over we headed outside and went into France. We love to go to the Perfume shop here. We smell all of the perfume's and make fun of the one's we don't like. We watched Impression's De France. We walked though the Pavillions headeing toward the American Pavillion, where we watched the American Adventure. I think this is my favorite, along with Norway, in the World Showcase.

By now, it was almost time for Tapestry of Nations' second show. We found a bench outside the China Pavillion and sat down. We watched the parade and fell in love with it. We decied to relax and have some desert and hold a spot for Illuminations. Ron went to Kringla, while I save a seat. I had a Cinnamon Bun and he had Vaffler. We sat and looked over the World Showcase Lagoon and ate our desert. As the sun set, we noticed some heat lightening in the distance. We both wondered if Illuminatiosn would still go on. Thank God it did. I can see why this show is popular. It really it quite spectacular.

After a long and eventful day, Ron and I headed back to the resort and prepared for our day at MGM!

Melissa

Wow, what a full day. Even with adults, you still need that afternoon break. Dh and I are plannig on eating at Le Cellier for the first time in September. Glad you liked it.

prime rib and the bread is out of site......Would like to be able to do that pretzel bread......that was my favorite......thanks again for the great report

We had dinner at Le Cellier on August 2nd. We liked it so much that we went back for lunch on the 4th and had the same waiter (Jason). The cheddar cheese soup and bread are wonderful. Their steaks and burgers are equally wonderful. Having been to WDW 13 times, I'm sorry that I didn't find this restaurant earlier.

It sounds like you guys got a lot done in one day. I'm getting winded just reading about your day. I think that we spent the morning at MGM and afternoon at Epcot. I'm surprised that we didn't bump into you at Epcot. (Not really - That place is huge)

Wow, Melissa! Don't take this the wrong way - but chocolate pie, S'Mores, and a Cinnamon Bun all in one day! I want to be 23 again.
