Has anyone done the Advantage program and is it worth it? Pros/Cons, please. I am aiming to do this Fall 2005 and can't wait!

Alumni here!! I went down Fall 2003 and LOVED IT. I now plan on making a career in Disney. At first I was really nervous about doing it because I'd never been away from home for more than a week but adjusting was easy for me!
I think as long as you don't go in expecting to make money (you really don't. I know many people who went home because of bills) and you don't expect everything to just happen for you. You have to be willing to go out and make connections. I assume from your tag you plan on making a career with disney in Imagneering. Although your role might seem to have nothing to do with your intended career use EVERY OPPERTUNITY as a chance to network! I really want to be in guest relations and I literally told everyone I met this! I managed to arrange a shadowing of an MK guest relation manager and have several GR managers on my "networking list."
Just go in with an open mind and you can't be dissapointed!

so did you do the Advantage (Summer included plan) or just the regular one?

Is it possible to land a GR job with the CP? I saw a hostess in DAK who had a university on her name tag....

GR Roles are advanced internship positions, and they're incredibly competitive.

I did the fall program, not the fall advantage. I certainly wish I had done the advantage, though! I would have loved the extra time down there.
