has anyone successfully booked the room only discount for winter WITH a dining plan and WITHOUT the purchase of a single day ticket? It looks to be an option on the Passholder site, but I want to make sure it is possible before I book it. Thanks!

I have booked an AP discounted room with the Dining Plan only (NOT FREE NOT DISCOUNTED), in March 2009 no problem ....

Yes, I did this in April. Had a room only at the BWV with an AP rate on my AP. Bought the CS dining plan for me and DD15 (who does not have an AP and we got her Park Hopper thru undercovertourist.com). Did not have to buy a park ticket thru Disney. Worked fine.

Yup, just did this a week ago for YC this December. You can do it online through the AP website, or you can call. FYI, this is considered a package, not a "room only" reservation, so your deposit will be $200.

I followed it through to payment, and the deposit was only the room rate, dining rate due later.

What does the res # look like? a 6, 2 letters, and the rest numbers? If not, it was a glitch. It's still a package. Just a ticketless package.
