Attention all MNSSHPers

Do you really think that will stop a number of people from staying & enjoying all the other things that the party has to offer: trick or treating, dance parties, character greetings, the special fireworks & parade?

and at some point in the night, they'll stop checking for wristbands... not intentionally, but just under the assumption that a few hours into the party the day guests have left and it isn't necessary any more.

I sent an email this morning. We are planning on attending the first party on 9/15. I really hope they go back to the 6 pm close as they did last year. I really do not understand this latter closing. I think the guest will be looking to turn folks in that do not have wristbands. Could cause problems...I just hate being the ginnie pig group. :sad2:
Regardless, it will be a good time.
I'll keep ya'll posted when I hear something.
BTW, I did rec. the auto response.

I sent an e-mail. We're going to be there the 24th of October.

But I never have a problem calling out people to CM's at EMH, so this won't be much different. God forbid they try to get into it with the wife.
We'll be there on the same night as you. We can do a little tag team crasher spotting :rotfl2: .

you know, I honestly didn't remember getting wristbands last year. I knew we came in after 7 so I thought maybe they stopped giving them out. I just looked at a picture and sure enough, my 9 & 3 y/o were wearing purple wristbands.

Just sent my e-mail. I explained that if the event was not completely closed to non-ticket holding guests, that my family and I would be giving our Halloween business to Universal. That's kind of a fib :ssst: b/c we're Disney purists. Well, if they can let their standards slip by not clearing the park, I can fib a little.

We went to MNSSHP last year with a party of 12. Not a single person was asked to check for a wristband!!! Not when boarding a ride or anywhere. It was a chilly evening & everyone was wearing long sleeves & I don't think any of the castmembers had x-ray vision. I wondered all evening what prevented people from just hanging out.

This makes me really mad!!! Why did I even buy tickets???

I sent an e-mail.

Hope it helps. They at least need to make an effort to ensure only paying guests attend specially ticketed events.

Last year at MNSSHP we saw a family hanging out without wristbands eating at a table near mainstreet. I noticed because there were no tables and we had a tray of food and there were no tables available.

I mention this because I have a feeling that this has been policy for awhile that CM's request you leave if you are trying to ride an attraction or get in the candy line. They will probably not bother a day guest otherwise if they are there spending money eating or shopping. I think that this policy hasn't really changed.

Although these folks were still in the hard ticket event, we still had an awesome time. If you look for folks without wristbands, you'll probably find some. We did notice that on every attraction the CM's were noticing the wristbands.

What I'm saying is you can't let it bother you. There will always be people who just do not want to comply with any request or rule. It will drive you insane if you pay attention to them all.

We had a great time at MNSSHP, and we can't wait to go again this year!

Did you read the thread to understand what we talking about? The park closes at 7, the party starts at 7. Guests without wristbands will be asked to leave the park, that's it. If they want to go on an attraction, they'll need to show a wristband. Do you really think that will stop a number of people from staying & enjoying all the other things that the party has to offer: trick or treating, dance parties, character greetings, the special fireworks & parade?

No one wants Disney to make these events free either, but I'm not paying the high cost of the tickets if the day guests are going to be allowed to stay & I'm letting Disney know ahead of time that I won't be pleased if this occurs. While I love Disney, there are many other places I can go & spend my vacation dollars!

Was just going to reply to this post, but you did it SO well, now I don't have to :thumbsup2

BTW, I think everyone can agree that Disney has it issues and cannot account for the low life dirt bags..(sorry I digress) that take advantage of many loopholes.

I would just like to ensure that IF Disney requires a separate hard ticket for an event, they perform adequated Due Diligence to ensure we get the experience we are paying for and they advertising.

But, those who ask not to be flamed should be well informed on the thread they are commenting about...just my .02

Just thought I'd share our experience at MVMCP last December. They had a few CMs lined up at mainstreet checking wristbands. Past that CMs routinely looked for the wristbands during the party. I agree with other folks. It would be easy to hang out somewhere and enjoy the parade without paying. I doubt you could get away with much else. Hopefully the CMs will check wristbands during trick o treating at MNSSHP. Otherwise I will write them a letter after the trip :rolleyes1 . My dd is really looking forward to the trick o treating and I would be upset to find a ton of people who didn't buy tickets waiting in line for candy.

I made a third call today and got once again, "MK will be closing at 6 to all non ticket holder for MNSSHP, the party will begin at 7 and anyone with just "hard tickets" to MNSSHP will be allowed to enter MK beginning at 5pm."

I am calling daily to make sure I get the same response!!! Still no response from my email....

I never received a response to my email either...but I'm glad that you're hearing consistency with the responses on the phone!!!

actually, yes i have read the thread and i understand exactally what you're talking about, but i will be honest when i say that no one gives the cms credit enough to be smart about what the wrist bands are for and how to enforce the "you must leave the park if you didn't buy a wrist band" rule- the cms are already in training for the mnsshp with policies going out daily for them to read and memorise along with training on crowd control and other various things- i know people doubt that the cms will actually ask the non-paying guests to leave due to compairing it to EMH, but EMH is different in the fact that regular guest without the wrist bands are allowed in the parks to shop and watch the evening fireworks- they just aren't allowed to ride the rides- the wrist band policy was also in effect for the grad nights and all of those went off without any problems

Actually people have stated in other MNSSHP that non-MNSSHP ticket holders were wandering the park. Some were asked to leave and some were just ignored. People don't give CMs "enough credit" because they have actually witnessed things like this occuring. People are speaking from experience.

Eblack 0409 Thanks for phoning daily, its expensive to call for the Uk,and thank you for taking the time to update us!

Still NO respsonse from my e mail !??? :confused3 Im a bit miffed by that !

That's the one thing that bothers me the most. The thing we were really looking forward to was being able to see a parade without having to deal with the usual monster crowds and having to get a spot two hours early. Now we'll have it worse that ever, since those folks will not be able to ride attractions what else will they do? Stake out all the best places to see the parade, leaving those with tickets the worst places.

i just sent my 2nd round of emails and still have yet to recieve a response to any emails i've sent. i have called WDW many times about this and keep getting different stories. :surfweb: i think we need more emails to be sent. Disney will have to listen if they get tons of calls and emails about this problem(or i hope they do)
thanks for letting me vent :furious: :listen:

Well, I'm glad you did read it because in your previous post you mentioned things that were not part of this thread.

I give the CMs a lot of credit and respect them for the things they put up with during the course of their working hours. However, I've been to EMH during 2 different trips in all of the parks and can tell you that it is not a smooth operation either. While they do tend to look for wristbands right around the beginnning of EMH, within an hour they are no longer asking to see them and I've seen this with my own eyes so I know it happens. And not in just one park, it has happened in all of them.

How much latitude do you really think that the CMs will have in regard to asking guests to leave? Will they prevent the guests from standing along the parade route? Will they stop them from taking pictures with characters or going to the areas where the dance parties are taking place? Yeah, maybe they will ask to see wristbands all evening for the attractions (& I highly doubt even that) but I really find it hard to believe that CMs are going to be put in the position of continously asking day guests to leave the park until they do so. If that policy were to be effective there would need to be a good number of extra CMs on hand to make that happen, which costs money, why not just close the park an hour earlier?

Again, we are just asking that Disney does things in a manner that will keep the event the way it is supposed to be--something that requires separate admission to enjoy all the events that take place that night.

What I also don't understand is why it bugs you if the bunch of us who bought tickets (& some spent WAY more than I did because of their party size) and are planning for costumes and TS dinners want to vent and share their thoughts about this? We aren't knocking the CMs in any way, we just have doubts about the way that WDW is handling this.

I just sent another email. I still haven't received a response to my first email.

My DM called yesterday and talked to a CM that said the park would be closing at 7 and that if she wanted to, she could send an e-mail or letter about it. DM told her that I had already done that and that I had gotten a non-answer response like what she was getting from that CM. The CM gave my mom the number to City Hall in MK and told her that was where to call about this situation.

We got busy signals all day, so we called 407 -WDISNEY again and a different CM gave us a different #.

Here they are if anyone wants to try them.

City Hall - 1-407-824-2200
Other # - 1-407-566-4985

Also, the second CM said that the party didn't start at 7. :confused3 Anyone else gotten this kind of answer?
