actually, yes i have read the thread and i understand exactally what you're talking about, but i will be honest when i say that no one gives the cms credit enough to be smart about what the wrist bands are for and how to enforce the "you must leave the park if you didn't buy a wrist band" rule- the cms are already in training for the mnsshp with policies going out daily for them to read and memorise along with training on crowd control and other various things- i know people doubt that the cms will actually ask the non-paying guests to leave due to compairing it to EMH, but EMH is different in the fact that regular guest without the wrist bands are allowed in the parks to shop and watch the evening fireworks- they just aren't allowed to ride the rides- the wrist band policy was also in effect for the grad nights and all of those went off without any problems
Well, I'm glad you did read it because in your previous post you mentioned things that were not part of this thread.
I give the CMs a lot of credit and respect them for the things they put up with during the course of their working hours. However, I've been to EMH during 2 different trips in all of the parks and can tell you that it is
not a smooth operation either. While they do tend to look for wristbands right around the beginnning of EMH, within an hour they are no longer asking to see them and I've seen this with my own eyes so I know it happens. And not in just one park, it has happened in all of them.
How much latitude do you really think that the CMs will have in regard to
asking guests to leave? Will they prevent the guests from standing along the parade route? Will they stop them from taking pictures with characters or going to the areas where the dance parties are taking place? Yeah,
maybe they will ask to see wristbands all evening for the attractions (& I highly doubt even that) but I really find it hard to believe that CMs are going to be put in the position of
continously asking day guests to leave the park until they do so. If that policy were to be effective there would need to be a good number of extra CMs on hand to make that happen, which costs money, why not just close the park an hour earlier?
Again, we are just asking that Disney does things in a manner that will keep the event the way it is supposed to be--something that requires separate admission to enjoy
all the events that take place that night.
What I also don't understand is why it bugs you if the bunch of us who bought tickets (& some spent WAY more than I did because of their party size) and are planning for costumes and TS dinners want to vent and share their thoughts about this? We aren't knocking the CMs in any way, we just have doubts about the way that
WDW is handling this.
