Attention all MNSSHPers

I sent an email last night basically stating that I wasn't going to buy tickets for Oct.12th until I hear good reports from the early party goers. I feel for all the people who are going top the first couple of parties. Hopefully, Disney will resolve this issue quickly. :confused3

Well, huh, due to one of the responses someone receivedI now have a new concern.. What if they're planning to work it like they have every year, but instead of closing the park for an hour they're just going to sequester us all for the first hour of the party while they sweep the day guests? So, to me, it looks like we're either going to have a lot of extra people in the park becuase Disney will only be doing an announcement, there will be chaos the first hour or two of the party because CMs will be doing sweeps then, or we'll be locked in a single land for the first hour which leaves us less time for all the cool activities?? I don't see how any of those is going to make any of the party goers very happy... I know I'm not thrilled with any of the options. Honestly, it seems like the only really good way to work things for the guests (and a few people still got around it) was the way they worked it in the past.

I just sent an email to guest services. I, too, am NOT happy to learn about the "perks" of being a party guest taken away. It's not about going on the rides. It's about the ambiance and thrill of sharing Halloween with our favorite Disney characters. We love the parade, fireworks, trick or treating, etc. I hope we ALL send letters and get this changed back to how it should be!!!

sent my missives of complaint along too...

being restricted to a section of the park (used to be tomorrowland, I believe) is worth it if it helps to usher out the lingering day guests.

IMO, all they have to do is shut down a section of park even earlier than posted time (say 5:00 p.m. in this instance) to all guests & clear the area. At 6:00 p.m. they could re-open this section (at various check points) & verify the wristbands.

Would give them an hour to clear the park or at least confine departing guests to main street shops on their way out the door

.

By 7:00 p.m. all non-special tix guests should be safely ushered out & later arrivals can be allowed into the park.

Don't think it's uncommon for WDW to shut early for "private events" as long as they post the info to the general public.

I know of one quick way they could clear out the non-ticket holders..it may not be the popular choice but it would be effective!

Line up the CMs at one end of the park, forming a human chain. As they progress through the park they use cattle prods to move along those without wristbands. And then everyone will be shuttled off the property in a timely manner! :teeth:

Ok, I'm totally kidding with this and would not ACTUALLY want anyone poked with a cattle prod...unless they were realllllly asking for it!
Still no response but seeing how the list is growing of people who have emailed I would hope that SOMEONE would get a response soon!
Maybe they are finding the guy who came up with the bright idea to make this change and are helping him box up his stuff... :confused3

I'm sort of embarrassed to say "why" I know this:rolleyes1

but, WDW usually sends out a "standard" reply within 48 hrs of initial email to acknowledge receipt & will follow up @ a later date, if necessary.

Disney will be closing the park to everyone who does not have a special event ticket. They party starts at 7pm. Guest with a hard ticket can start entering the park at 5pm and given your wrisatbands at that time. Everyone else will be ask to leave. Ride's will stop at 6pm, so they can leave the park. Sercurity will be asking guest to show there wristbands, so if you don't hav ethen on you will walked out the park. I hope this helps. They is a speical event ticket only. So please have a great time.

Where did you get this information????? I hope this is what Disney plans on sticking to!

I have ADRS at 5:00pm on Sept. 15 at Crystal Palace. I was assuming that I could enter the park on my hard ticket for the event for my dinner ressies. I guess after reading alot of the post from other people, that I won't be able to do this without buying another ticket to the park. Does anyone know if this is right? I am so confused. I really don't want to pay for another ticket. If so I guess I will just eat a CS meal instead.

I am also upset with the thought of people who didn't pay for the party being able to stay and attend it. I had faith that WDW would not let this happen but my faith is beginning to fail. I don't care if WDW wants to afford confrintation or not, it's just not fair to those of us who paid Good money for our party tickets. My Dh works about 70 hours a week so we can take trips and vacations, I had to budget the cost of the tickets into our trip plannning. If I knew all of this was going to come up, I would of used the money to go to Sea World for the day. I am a WDW Fan, but there comes a time and place to do the right thing. WDW wants all of us to be honest with the dining plan and etc, so now it's their turn to treat all of us party goers FAIR and with the RESPECT the we deserve. Alot of people have to save and budget money for a long time to take their families to WDW. If you think about it, theres alot of people who never get to take their kids there because of the cost, so treat us people who do get to go and spend our MONEY there FAIRLY!!!! :furious:

OK, I'm done venting now. I do FEEL BETTER, Thank you for listening. Honestly, if anyone knows about the ADRS, I would appreciate the info. :grouphug:

I have a idea that day ticket holders wouldn't like. How about all of us who purchased the "Hard Ticket Event" get let in the park at opening, then we can crowd their rides, parades, etc. Just think the extra Money disney will make by having us in the park during the day too just like they will make extra money by not having day guests out of the park either. We have gone every year for the last 4 years to the MNSSHP and I rarely saw many wristbands after dark so did these people just enter after 7 or were they day guests???

Allysmom - you should be fine. We have ADR at 4:50 and were told that we can enter at 4:00.

I am not happy about this at all either. If its true and I read reviews that you can stay in the park but not go on rides I too will abuse this privilege. Unfortunate for us this year, maybe next year it will change.

How bad are the parks during nite EMHs? I've never been there to get a wristband, any stories?

Im from the UK, and there is another board of UK Disney nuts, i dont THINK they know anything about this. Perhaps someone of better PCs skills than me could let them know ?

Looks like this year they are not letting anyone in early. If you are in the park already (used a ticket) you can get a wristband for MNSSHP inside starting at 4pm. If you are not in the park yet you have to enter at 7pm or later. At least that is what Disney has been saying this year.
