Attack of the Lakeshore Lodge

There has never been a stand alone/detached single bedroom before correct? I’m not so sure they will be lower in price than a standard 2 bedroom. I could see DVC wanting to market them as honeymoon suites or something similar and marking them up big time. Of course I also expect that the 2 bedroom A frames will be bungalow level points - but maybe having a grand villa option will help to keep those point costs down.

I just want to know how many miles of hallway from one end of the resort to the other ….
I can remeber thinking I needed to leave a trail of breadcrumbs to find my way when the basic Grand Californian Hotel opened … and I still have not entered the wing at the Riviera that I always forget is there .

This summary may be helpful on the room count discussion yesterday. There's a fair amount of outdated or inconsistent information on the Internet when it comes to Disney hotel and DVC room/key counts, even among the most reliable sources/lists. It's one of those things that tends to get copy/pasted from blog to blog, source to source, and some of the nuanced details - mainly around areas such as lockoffs, cabins/treehouses included/not included, hotel/DVC conversions updated or not, etc get captured differently - so over time you get a mix of data out there.

I track this pretty closely from various sources, plans, and personal knowledge, but even with that I'd put an 'estimate' asterisk on it given the nuances above. Note where applicable this counts total keys and includes cabins/treehouses/A-Frames, etc.

I also mentally tend to look at resort size via this alternative version of the above which lumps YC/BC together - if you want to think through the lens of shared resort infrastructure/amenities. FWIW!

That would be similar to points needed for the CCV cabins - 2 BRs, but about the same points as the 3 BR GVs. So, won't be surprised at all if 1 BR cabins cost the same as normal 2 BR villas.

The cabins at Fort Wilderness have 63 declared into DVC and the rest of the 302 cabins are hotel. Do they plan to declare all of them as DVC or if not how many will be DVC?

They'll have weird points total in between a standard 2 bedroom and a booking class like the 2 bedroom cabins at copper creek.
I think this is too low. I expect the stand-alone 1BRs to cost more than a regular 2BR in the main resort. Time will tell!
