I am trying to start figuring our our touring plan for our trip (I love the planning stage :teeth: )

I do have a few questions. Jump in where you can and share the love...I mean Disney Knowledge :hyper:

Thanks in advance!

1. How long does 'Wishes' last?

2. I only find times for parades in MK and MGM. No parade in Epcot or AK?

3. What are your thoughts on Cirque de Soleil? My husband is set on going...just wondering (It's so hard to justify the $$ , but I have heard it is worth the money).

4. How long should we allow for a birthday dinner at Chef Mickey's? We want to make it to Epcot after for one more Illuminations ;) Trying to see if staying for Wishes...hopping the monorail to CR for CM and then back for Illuminations is TOO much (we will see Wishes earlier in the week and could slip out before that if we need to)

5. If we do the 6:00 Cirque de Soleil...what time could we count on being back at WL if we wanted to do a late dinner at WC?

Sorry to talk your eyes off :earseek:

Wishes hasn't started yet, so no one really know its length, but I would assume it would be somewhere around 15 minutes.

There is no parade at Epcot. There is Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade at AK. It usually runs at 4:00PM. Double-check that though.

I can't comment on Cirque because we have not done it yet, but I too have heard rave reviews about it.

At Chef Mickey's, I would allow AT LEAST 2 hours. We went there for breakfast and waited for about 45 minutes before we were seated. Once seated, you will want to stay at least an hour to give all of the characters a chance to get around to your table.

Honestly, I would for-go Wishes that night, because in order to make Illuminations, you will need a PS for Chef Mickey's no later than 6:00.

I believe the Cirque show is 90 minutes. So maybe you could be back to the WL for an 8:30 dinner?

Have a great time planning!!!

Cirque is definitely worth the price. It is not only the best show at Disney, it's one of the best anywhere. Suck up the cost and see it. The show lasts about 90 minutes, but get there a little early and enjoy the preshow fun.

Just to weigh in on Cirque, if your husband really wants to see it, and assuming it's not budget wise ruling out something you really want to do, then I would go see it. My DD and I saw a different Cirque show (locally) and loved it. MY Dh has no interest at all. What they do is absolutely amazing!

YOu could also possibly rent or borrow a Cirque Video and/or watch for them to show one of the shows on PBS - they usually do it during a fundraising drive. That will give you an idea of what they're about. Of course it's much more inpressive in person.

YOu have to figure, there are two shows running in Vegas all the time that frequently see our and the shows that tour usually sell out too, so it's definitely popular.

Might be interesting to post a poll though - would you rather spend $150 on two tickets to Cirque or dinner for two at Victoria and Alberts? LOL!

Of course if your trip is a family affair, that sheds a different light.

I had no interest in Cirque till I saw the Travel Channel show on disney ( maybe it had subliminal messages? lol) but after reading reviews and seeing it we deceided to can Cal Grill and go there instead! I have only seen one person who did not like it which has got to be a record on here! ( so many shy unopinoinated people): :D :D :D
