Ashley and Jeff's Wishes Wedding WP & ADH~12-2-2011~TR Day 6 Reception/Photo gallery

Your shower looked like so much fun! I love the Cinderella centerpieces they made for you. You're getting closer!!! :cool1:
Thank you, those were my favorite part. I was surprised how many people actually put it together what they represented!!

I love your shower pics.

I was wondering though, if you nervous with 40 ladies what are you going to be like on your wedding day????

A friend of mine used to have terrible nervous system for alot of stuff. He would be vomitting all night and all morning if we just went to a car show!!! And he wasnt even the centre of attention, however, on his wedding day apart from a few visits to the toilet bowl he was fine.... so I realy hope for your sake that you are calm and enjoy the whole thing rather than dealing with the negative feelings

I cant wait to read and see the pictures of your day:thumbsup2
I don't know what I am going to do on the wedding day, a couple of shots???!!! I am nervous for the vows and the first dance but I am hoping once I get up there it won't be as bad just like the shower. I have gotten much better over the years so we will see how things go! I will probably be sick to my stomach a week before and then get there and realize it wasn't so bad. It's a lot of people but most of them are very close so that will help things as well. We will see :)

Your shower looked great and I know exactly what you mean about being the center of attention. At the wedding I will be fine since I will have my dad to walk me up the beach and Geoff to stand with me to get married. It is very different than sitting in front and having people watch you open a present, looking for a reaction. ;)

The Keurig coffee maker is my DF's favorite too! He has made all kinds of iced coffees, cafe mochas...I love it too!!

I loved the favors and the centerpieces! I am sorry your maid of honor caused you some stress! Tell the other girls they can step on toes... :)
Thank you, I had an amazing time! I totally agree with the center of attention I am hoping that having my dad, df and the bridal party it will make things a little better. I know I am getting worked up about something I will end up laughing about in the end.

The Keurig is awesome! I can't wait to really start using when the weather gets cooler, I love the hot chocolate.

Ashley sweetie - Your Cinderella shower was absolutely gorgeous!!! You know, I'd be willing to bet that your guests didn't even notice the things that you thought went wrong. Remember, this was a gathering of friends and people who love you (as your wedding day will be!!), and they were there for you and to wish you well, not to judge how organized things were or to criticize your reaction to their gifts. I am sure that your MOH was just as nervous as you were, and feels bad for getting it wrong for you. Relax sweetie, it is you that your guests want to see, not a plastic doll who never gets anything wrong!!
I was going to ask what a keurig maker was (I am an ignorant Brit after all!!), but I see from the above post that it is some kind of coffee maker!!
Thank you!! And I am sure you are right. Everyone keeps telling me it looked so organized up there so I am sure that it just seemed crazy to the people doing it and since I was nervous. I always want everything perfect with this wedding and I know it can't be. I have to get past it and everything else was amazing. I couldn't have had asked for anything more perfect :cool1:

Keurigs are great!! They make a single cup of coffee but you can you do all kinds of flavors, teas, and hot chocolate too. They have become very popular here over the last few years. It's the new thing I guess :goodvibes

Those Pumpkins are brilliant.
Yes, my aunt did an amazing job. Thank you!

I am finally starting to feel like my to-do list is getting smaller!!! Yay. DF and I got our wedding bands yesterday. Mine is being custom made so it won't be in for 2-3 weeks. This was a big thing, I was happy to check off. I have almost finalized our floral BEO. Elizabeth has been great. We had so many changes trying to save money and with changing venues. We chose different centerpieces for welcome party that saved us $30 a table. Awesome! We also had to add in things like the rose petals along the aisle now that we are back at the WP.

28-RosesSquaredPurple.jpg

This is what we are using now at the Welcome Party, there is a glow light in the center of the beads. We just have to choose the color roses. Our choices are pink, lavender, yellow, orange, peach, white and ivory. I am thinking of doing pink and orange or pink, yellow and lavender.

DF and I also worked on our ceremony. We picked all the readings/vow wordings ect we want to use. I emailed Kevin Knox last night with our choices. Now he will just have to put them in order for us and let us know if we are missing anything.

I am a little irritated that we haven't heard from our planner in almost two weeks. After we told her we were going to back to the pavilion she said she would get us an updated BEO asap as we are almost a month from needing everything finalized. Mind you we talked to her about a month ago about the BEO and some changes that needed to be made and concerns we had with food and things. I don't understand why she couldn't have worked at those aspects of it while we dealt with the ceremony issue on the side. Pamela has never been great at getting back to us in a timely manner so it is frustrating especially when we are so close and we have nothing finalized. We don't even know what we are eating at the Welcome Party. I am going to email her today and see if I get a response but I dont know if they work as it is a holiday.

Those centerpieces are very pretty!! We were just in FL last week and I was obsessed with locating DPs and private events in Epcot. haha
I took a picture of one I really liked:
IMG_9918.jpg

I think someone else had said they were just having confetti and not going crazy-- for this one it looked like they just had the glowing blue cylinders on the tables with black linens. It looked really sharp and the black linens at night really brought attention to the colored cylinders. I think if you wanted to take out the floral it would look very nice too, just an idea for $$ savings, but I do think the flowers are very pretty too!!:goodvibes

Yay for ordering your bands and decreasing your to do list! :yay:

Have you tried emailing your WP to annoy? haha As bad as that sounds if you keep contacting her will she respond? Or her assistant planner? Hopefully she responds to you sooner than later! :rolleyes1

I love what you picked out for the welcome party. They are very pretty. You should call your wedding planner one day, email her the next, and repeat until you hear from her. They cannot be that busy to not be able to respond just to say they are working on it.

Haha thanks for the picture!!! We originally were doing the glow cylinders but they are actually $30 more per table than the flowers, doesn't make sense to me but oh well. We are doing the black linens as well and something glowing on the tables I think will look really cool! We are also putting glow lights in our punch :)

I keep emailing her but it always takes a while to get back to me. I do usually speak to her assistant when I need something nonspecific answered but she can't really help me setup all these last minute details. Its so frustrating when you are this close. I did finally hear from her last night but she didn't have the BEO ready for me to see yet. It's been a month

Thank you!!! I have tried that calling/emailing game doesn't usually get me anywhere I always end up with the assistant. I did hear from her last night and she hopes she will have the BEO for me on Friday and then we can set up a phone conversation. I just feel like at this point when it is so close I should be able to talk to her at least once a week even if jus through email. I have so many questions and things to get updated before our final payment and final entertainment changes date of Nov 2nd! I am kind of freaking out. I can't believe how much is left and we really only have 3 weeks before it all needs to be finalized.

Better late than never, we finally got our engagement photos back! We ended up so busy this summer that we kind of waited a while before getting them done. Plus it rained on the first two times we had them scheduled for! They came out amazing. I couldn't be happier. They make me feel even better about bringing him to Disney. If our engagement photos are this good I can only imagine what our wedding photos will be like. Plus he and his partner are a lot of fun to work with :cool1: These are only half of the ones he gave us!

Ashley- Your engagement pictures are wonderful! I agree with you... if you engagement pictures are this good...imagine the wedding pictures! WOW! :jumping1:

Your engagement pictures are awesome!!! I assume you took them around here somewhere??? We are scheduled to do ours next Friday the 21st, do you mind sharing where you did yours? Love them!!

I can't believe those glowing cylinders are more and $30 more than those pretty flowers. Are they magical cylinders or something??? hahaha
That is good though you can have those pretty flowers then, yippee!! :yay:

Any progress with your BEO? 3 weeks!eee!!

Thank you! We did them all around New London. We were at the train station there and some side streets. Then we went to some abandon lighthouse in New London. From there we went to Harkness State park. I wasn't sure about all the locations but after seeing the pictures I loved them all! Do you know where you will be doing your photos or still thinking about it? Harkness is beautiful there is a mansion to do some photos at and the beach.

I couldn't believe the cylinders were more either doesn't make sense to me. I think the cylinder set with the gel inside was $60 per table. I love the roses and the vase will still glow so I am happy! I want that night to be fun!!!

No progress on the BEO. I better have it tomorrow. I am freaking out, we so many things left to finalize by November 2nd. I can't believe we are so close, its crazy.

Seven weeks from tomorrow!!!!!!! Yikes

Time is going by way to fast, I have to get my but in gear! I just got the paper I ordered to print our programs for the wedding. I also got my bride shirt from the Disney store yesterday in the mail!!!! :cool1: I made my final payment today for our hotels as well and setup magical express; another thing off my mind! I was able to book manicure/pedicure appointments for November 26th for the entire wedding party. The salon will actually close just for us from 2-7 and we can bring food and drinks. Should be a lot of fun I can't wait.

This weekend my plan is to get all of the t-shirts made for the wedding party. I ordered the disney rhinestone fixtures of etsy so now I just need to iron them on. I also plan on getting my thank you letter for our welcome packet printed and newsletter finished. I think I may start packing as well. I know its early but I have to put away all my summer clothes to make room for winter stuff so it seems crazy to put it all away to then get the bins back out in a few weeks. Hopefully I can at least organize it and keep it out of the way. I am also trying to decide if I want to ship my wedding gown and all my stuff for the ceremony/reception. It would be much easier than dealing with it at the airport but I also don't know if I want that stuff out of my sight. Either way I need to go get plastic containers for everything this weekend as well so I can start putting everything in. I just want to say I find it quite annoying that we can't drop a box off at Francks, it has to be a plastic container. So now I have to put the container inside a box to ship which is just going to add to the weight.

Oh and I have my dress fitting tomorrow. Finally!!! :cool1:

I got a lot accomplished this weekend!! I was very proud of myself. I literally spent all weekend doing stuff for the wedding. We finally got the BEO from Pamela which still isn't quite how we want things so we spent a few hours going over it on Saturday with my parents. We are trying to cut the cost of our dinner some how and it just isn't easy. I found some menus on the EPCOT catering site that seemed to have a lot more food than our menu at a less price. After we went through things my mom emailed Pamela to let her know what we still need to discuss. Not only do we want to see about other menu options we want to see if we can substitute something in our bar package to have champagne included. Not sure if anyone knows the answer to this. We also need to work on the transportation for the wedding party as one limo isn't going to work for everyone. I am thinking of doing several one way vans since it will save some money or we would have to do 2 limos which I really don't want to do.

I also made all my shirts for the the wedding party to wear the morning of the wedding. I got the rhinestones off etsy. I still have to do mine so I will have to post that at a later date. Some how I ended up one shirt short. Oops
Oh and I have one more my mom too but I don't have a picture and I also have one that says Maid of Honor.

IMG_0172.jpg

I love them:) Can't wait to have everyone wear them!

Sunday I spent most of the day running errands. I had so many little things I needed to pick up for the wedding. I bought some plastic bins to put all the wedding stuff in. I also picked up gift bags for the wedding parties gifts as well as coloring books and crayons for the kids at the reception. I also got a few cute outfits for Disney since I got some gift cards from my FSIL for my shower!

I got the ring bearers and flower girls gifts wrapped as well. I bought their gifts back in August when I was in Disney for our planning session. I am planning on giving them their gifts before we leave for the wedding so I don't have to try and get them down their.
IMG_0176.jpg

Here's what I got for one of my flower girls. She is a big Tinkerbell fan so I went with that as my theme for her. She has never been to Disney so I thought I would include things that are fun to have for a first trip. She got a pin trading starter set, 2011 shirt, sunglasses, autograph book and pen.

IMG_0175.jpg

For my other flower girl I went with a princess theme. She has not been to Disney either so I did the same items but as Princess's. I can't wait to give them their gifts! They are going to have so much fun.

IMG_0177.jpg

For the ring bearers they have been to Disney a lot so I decided to do a pirate theme for them. They have been big into pirates especially the new Disney show Jake and the Neverland Pirates lately. Since Disney doesn't sell anything from this show I went with Mickey Mouse pirate shirts and pirate pin trading sets for each of them. I also purchased the Pirate Ship Cruise for them that leaves from the Grand Floridian. They get to go on a pirate ship and dig for treasure at the beaches around the Seven Seas Lagoon!

IMG_0178.jpg

All Finished :cool1:

I also spent most of last night organizing stuff for the wedding. I went through all my emails and printed out all of my hotel and dinner reservations. I also printed out confirmations for hair, makeup, wedding officiant, photographer and videographer. I am trying to organize everything into folders so that I have it all handy if I need it when we get down to Disney.

Things are getting accomplished!!!!

Everything looks great. I love the shirts for your girls.

I still need to get my bridesmaid and flower girl and ring bearer gifts together. I love what you did for them. A great idea to get them started on pin trading and they will love to do that with the cast members or just start a collection.

It is good to be organized and you look and sound as if you are. I printed everything and have it in the Wedding Notebook. Whenever I need something I know just where to go!

I wonder why you have to ship everything in plastic bins??? Is it in case the box breaks or something, or do they open the boxes and just label your bins or something?

You know...I don't think I would ship my wedding dress. Everything else I would...you could always grab shoes, a slip, whatever else, but not the dress. Just make sure you insure everything. :)

Thank you! I hope they like it. I have to find a weekend to give it to them now and those weekends are to find lately :)

On our beo Disney specifies the kind of boxes they can receive. They have to plastic bins with handles and no bigger than 64 quart. So if I ship them I would need to ship the container in a box. Disney just has too many rules! I bought a few containers and I'm trying to see if I can get everything in smaller containers to keep the weight down but we will see.

I go back and fourth on shipping the wedding dress. It seems like a lot of people do it and even my seamstress recommended it as long I have a tracking number but I don't know it makes me really nervous. I am going to insure everything though. If I can at least ship the two containers I have it would be two less things to worry about on the plane so we will see.

You've made a lot of progress with your shirts and gifts, yay! :woohoo:
When I was there for my PS, I could hear a door opening and shutting constantly, and Maxine said that the storage room was on the other side of the wall of the room we were in, so I think the plastic storage bins is for organization and making sure someone else's heavy box doesnt get placed on yours and break something or vice versa. The plastic bins are usually more sturdy than anything else! :goodvibes:

As for your dress, it makes me really nervous to ship it there too. I think I'm going to bring mine on the plane and then have them ship it back home to me after it's cleaned. Even if the insurance would cover it if it got lost, not like the dress is just one you picked out in the store and it magically fit. IDK just my opinion! I have no idea if they can keep it up front like men bring on their suits etc, or if we could package them into a box for the overhead bin like some people have said. You'll have to let us know what you end up doing!

GOOD news that your BEO is finally in!! :goodvibes

Oh also-- your comment on the limos for your wedding party, I don't remember exactly how many people you have, but I asked our planner about a mini-bus that we saw pulling into the poly when we were just there. It looks like a party bus but the seats were shuttle seating instead of limo (rows instead of around the perimeter). So she told me it would be $320 for roundtrip (no stops) or if we wanted to have mult stops, we could charter it for 5 hours for $450. It seats 25 people and comes in white or black. Not sure if this is more or less than two limo's for you, but maybe an option! (she called it a mini motor coach) :yay:

Yes I have! It feels so good to get things checked off my list! We are six weeks from tomorrow and I don't have many weekends left that I will actually be home to do things. I'm starting to freak:headache: I know what you mean on the bins, I just wasn't thinking about that so it was like one more thing to figure out lol. But I talked to Fedex and they said it would be about $55 to ship 3 of the largest boxes they have so I was really relieved. That was estimated high too because I didn't have accurate info to give him, makes me feel better!

I was told that Delta has somewhere to store my dress in the front of the plane so if I'm going to ship the other stuff I will probably go with that option. I just didn't want to be trucking through the airport with suitcases, bins and a huge dress. :) We are going to be down there for two weeks so we are going to have some big suitcases and it would just be a nightmare! I like the thought of having it shipped back though. I think I am going to contact Carolyn Allen's about doing this.

Awesome, thanks for letting me know about this option! I am going to talk to Pamela about this. For one limo it is $376 so this would save money :cool1: I have read about the one way vans that hold 8 people so I was thinking about this too. I would need to do 4 I think. I was thinking I could have those go from Boardwalk to the Grand and then we would have the motor coach come back after they drop our guests off and pick up the wedding party. However, the mini-bus would be more fun! I want to bring drinks on board so we could probably have some fun when we head back to the Grand! As you know being from the North there is usually a room for the wedding party to hang out in and have some food and drinks before they are introduced. Florida doesn't do this which we were a little surprised about :sad2: I don't want to attend cocktail hour with everyone either, I want the introduction to be the first time we are seen after being married. So maybe this bus could be "our room." Df and I are going to do a few pics on Shipwreck Beach before reception so we could have the wedding party stay on the bus while we do this. Hmmmmm Now you have me thinking!

6 weeks, yipee!! :yay: Don't freak! You're in Disney hands and everything will work out (thats what I tell myself anway!) $55 for 3 boxes, thats not bad! I was expecting a lot more, good to know!!
Definitely the mini-bus looks like it's own little limo and would be cooler than the vans, or so I think! ;)
No room for the WP to hang out?? hmmmm There must be somewhere you can wait in peace before being introduced, I will think about this some more! My wheels are turning  Maxine did tell us she would get us drinks and food from cocktail hour if we didn't attend, maybe while we are taking pics? I'll get back to you!! haha
