My goodness! Where are all the early morning risers?! Mousemommy and Jenny??? Kook...I know you're up;) Let me find a picture to post and I'll be back!

Good Morning!!!! :yay:

I have to go up to Portland, ME for work today, so DH is around this morning to take the girls to school since I have to leave earlier. Things are always smoother in the morning when DH is already at work....:upsidedow

Hope you all have fantastic days!!!!! I won't be able to check in until later today since I will be at the super exciting Board of Directors meeting...:scared:
note, I am representing the lay people of my company...I'm not an executive.
Grrrrr......

I am here!!:coffee: I just vowed I wasn't coming back until I made a definite move with my trip plans!! Too embarassed to talk about it all again!!
Everything still the same...just waiting:rolleyes1 because I am thinking maybe soon the 2013 rates will come out. Last year we had an amazing free dining offer for canadians come out pretty early on.

DH is happy because he realized that when we upgrade to AP's in September we will have park hoppers then! I am just hoping that it is true we will just have to pay the difference between what our 10 day MYW tix are worth now, and the AP price.

Very hot here the past couple of days....but I love it!

thanks for asking me to come out and play!!:rotfl:

:coffee: Rise and Shine! It's Monday....and soooooo feels like it, too:upsidedow Here's a little sunshine to get you started....

DSC_4277-1.jpg

Even the CR can be relaxing and beautiful in its own way. Actually, any Disney resort at 6:15am is beautiful! Early mornings are my very favorite times at WDW...for obvious reasons....super quiet...no people. And for anyone who likes photography just a little, it's the perfect opportunity to get wonderful, easy shots.

Tried to do online check-in this morning but my computer's firewall is blocking something and won't let me sign-on to the Disney site....weird! Wish I knew what the problem was:confused:

And why are you embarassed??? You are an RCer!! It's part of your genetic makeup:laughing: So what's the plan:hyper:

Just curious....but what constitutes "hot" in Canada?;)

LOL! It was 34 here celsius, 93 I think in farenheit?? Still not as hot as it was last Sept at Disney!! That was almost passing out hot for me!!:rotfl:

Well the plan is still the same for this Sept, I am just trying to figure out next years possible two trips, and one with the cruise add on. One little change, I think its going to be a 4 night, not 3. :goodvibes

You're right...that's hot no matter where you're from! Disney does get pretty darn hot in the summer!!! That's why we usually go back to the resort after lunch to swim and relax. A 4 night cruise will be perfect. The last cruise we did was a 3 nighter...just too short. Not that I wouldn't do it again if the hubby said book it;)

Still drizzling here:( The kids need pool time...they are going stir crazy inside...and me, too!!!

Good luck Candace! Sounds like a fun time

I just vowed I wasn't coming back until I made a definite move with my trip plans!! Too embarassed to talk about it all again!!
Embarrassed???? Don't be, not here, not with us, not ever

I can't justify it and, believe me I've tried. I keep reviewing the "perks" in hopes that I missed something. I am such a planning fanatic that I would never use Concierge CM to book anything for me and, like you, I don't think that we would take advantage of any of the food options except maybe breakfast. For us, it would end up being very expensive bagels and juice.
I always do my own ADRs...and after staying value, and really seeing the food bill, knowing what we ate (and don't) I can't justify it either...BUT it doesn't stop me because I am addicted to the extra TLC by the CMs :)

Ohh, sorry to see in the amount of time I was away from the DIS you booked and unbooked my favorite resort. It is a lot of money, better to not get "hooked"! pas caught the GF bug
Great job on the multi-quote! I am SO hooked on GF :cloud9:

Sorry to leave you hanging. Getting things cleared up!

We asked at 3 if our room was going to be serviced soon and the CM said we gave up our rights to get housekeeing since we had the "privacy" sign on for an hour while DD1 napped. Then yelled at my DH when he asked for a manager.
So so sorry the end of the trip was the least magical  That is ridiculous how you all were treated!

I didn't tell DD until today that I had added YC/CL. Well, it seems she thinks three resorts in 14 days is one too many and brilliantly suggested we cancel YC/CL and instead extend our AoA and WL/CL stays. So I changed our reservation (again and canceled YC, added a day to AoA and 3 days to WL. DD said she preferred the beach at WL to crowded SAB and I have to say I agree. I told her that she had complained about staying too long at WL once so I thought she'd love the tri-split stay, but apparently when you're 13, you change your mind often and you are often "misinterpreted" (DD's words). It seems that just 3 nights at another resort is enough to off-set an "extended" stay at WL. I really can't keep up with the teenage mind.
HRH is 7 and changes her mind...will it get worse, uh oh...look at me...it does it worse :lmao: So AoA/WL....really....I like it...but IDK if it will stick...you know heather will come back with a rockin AKL CL reivew...just sayin...:goodvibes

I_heart_the_mouse: Yikes. Yelled at your DH?! I hope they sort things out for you... and quick. Was your room cleaned at all?
That's crazy right?????

I think Cl would negate the lame pool slide. Boys are easily bribed with food.
 So true. My girls are able to be bribed with snacks too!

Jump on and go!!! Why not?!! Her TR really made me want to visit...not so much my DH....but me
Me too. I even booked DL for like 5 hours I think....DH squashed it :confused3

And YAY for online check in day...when the website cooperates:rolleyes1
Thank you, Princess Pas. I miss you guys too. I don't know how I keep missing this thread but it probably has something to do with my aforementioned gnat-memory.

That's the lowdown of my latest RCing. :rotfl: I still have membership, right? :thumbsup2 I think I really do belong amongst the almighty RCers.
Membership is for life my friend  Always and forever....

It took me exactly 92 minutes to change my mind after booking the GF. I started feeling guilty about the cost. All seven nights are now at the YC. I'm a hot mess. I know. I love split stays but if I want to add days or change things it's such a headache.:headache:I'll wait until May to do my Mk/EP split.
:flower3: I understand the guilt over the cost of GF. Not a hot mess...not at all...but it's so much fun to do the tickers....:rotfl:

I knew it!!!!!!! NO GF!!! And you blew my wager...I thought Pas would be first. You win...

And you poor soul....a peasant room;) I hope you can handle it.
 I didn't warn ya!My girl padawans gives me a run for my money.....she has probably hit the 100 mark for changes too...Maybe it's a nurse thing ;)

I started looking at CL thanks to this thread:rotfl:

I just don't think it's worth it for us. It would be perfect for us for breakfast but if I add up the cost of buying QS. It's cheaper just to buy the meals. We don't tend to come back midday so not sure the afternoon and evening options would be used. Of course, it's been cooler on our last two trips so no mid afternoon swimming was needed....
Sorry...all I can say is DO NOT do CL! It spoils the WHOLE family...except those budget watching DHs that don't get it...well Kook's hubby gets it :goodvibes
I have booked GF so many times, and have yet to stay there. It's the cost combined with the fact that I'm the only one in the family that likes the resort. I always come to my senses a day or two after booking it. 92 minutes was a record.
You need to borrow Miss HRH for a trip...:upsidedow

Good morning to everyone else... There was a nasty storm which caused a tornado up near the hospital...towns lost power....so did the ER, and so many car accidents....hope Sarah is OK...I think it ran down near her area too...hope all our RC family is safe this morning :grouphug:

:thumbsup2 How obsessed am I???....already started on my TR and we haven't even left!!!! My sister told me this morning that I'm ridiculous.....I know, and I'm happy with my obsessions.

Me too. I even booked DL for like 5 hours I think....DH squashed it :confused

The airfare alone would break your family:scared1: Let's see....7 of you! And I'm guessing the drive across country would take DAYS!

And YAY for online check in day...when the website cooperates:rolleyes1
Getting ready to go up to my school for a bit and work...will do online check in there:laughing:

Thanks for the heads up!!! Are y'all on a first name basis with CRO????? Just wondering....

I think I'm going to start posting pics of the GF....just to tempt Padawans:rolleyes1

Sorry...all I can say is DO NOT do CL! It spoils the WHOLE family...except those budget watching DHs that don't get it...well Kook's hubby gets it :goodvibes
:rotfl: You are soooooo right! You know it's bad when a 6 year old wants to make sure she's getting drinks and dessert! Then wants to know what view we will have! DH is another story....he doesn't see the point, but usually gives in...

Pas...did you notice my "multi-quote"...try not to be jealous:rolleyes:....I'm gonna conquer the beast if it kills me!

Is there such a thing as definete trip plans? Don't be embarrassed. I know exactly how you feel. I'm not totally sure when I'll activate my Ap's. May 2013 and Oct 2013 are sure things. Do we go this Year? Should I hold off and save save save and sail on the Fantasy next year or just be happy with the Dream? Will I be able to make it back Spring of 2014 if I don't activate until May 2013? Easter is April 20 in 2014....yes I looked....Would I be able to make a trip back before Ap's expired on May 8...Hmm. These are all the questions I ask myself. No your not crazy. AP's are a big expense. If your going to spend the money I think you have to have a plan on how your going to use them.

I would do the 4 day cruise. 3 days is too short. 4 days is too short. You won't want to get off the ship I promise.

Pas Your so right. My kids are the ones that push for CL. My dh can take it or leave it. It's better not to get your kids used to it.

Love the multi-quote...no shades of green here..all love & adoration  Those pics of yours...they are soooooooooooo tempting....bring on the GF :cloud9:

Yeah airfare to Cali....almost $4000 :sad2: The airfare to MCO was bad enough....that's why we drove. DH wouldn't survive a drive to Cali...not with the kids anyway :rotfl:

As for your TR...not ridiculous at all. I'm glad! I am tempted to do a TR...but as you know I am so bad at remembering to take pics...I am way too easily distracted :confused3

Faith is a lot like Madison...however she had a MELTDOWN...I MEAN CRAZY...when I told her no RPC...we apparently cannot stay GF without CL. She would rather change resorts to have her "snack room" What a little monster I created...but I get to enjoy it too.

I don't know if CRO has less CMs or I go to a special department :rotfl: but I get the same CMs A LOT lately...they usually remember me, and we laugh...There is one CM 3 of our kids have the same birthdays...

FWIW I am very happy with our obsessions, I am in great company

Pas Your so right. My kids are the ones that push for CL. My dh can take it or leave it. It's better not to get your kids used to it.

It's all AKL's fault for the upgrade in 2010..I would've never thought to ever book CL :lmao:

(1) If I booked a package prior to the June 3 ticket price increase and want to change resorts (FWIW, this would be a resort upgrade) will my ticket price stay the same? (I will not be adding or removing the number of days on the tickets or the number of people on reservation, just changing resorts)

(2) If I booked a regular package that includes room+tickets+dining, can I have this changed to a AP ticketless package (i.e., just room+dining) and still keep the same reservation number (and be able to apply the original depoit)? Or do I have to completely rebook (and pay a seperate deposit)?

Thanks in advance.

1) Your ticket price will not increase...no worries

2) You can't change a package to a AP room only and keep the same reservation number. Technically you are cancelling and rebooking, so you will need a new deposit. I don't know if the rules change at all if dining plan is added though. Maybe one of the peeps here can help :goodvibes

Can you disclose where you want to change to??? Love hearing about plans..and of course changes :)

Only once did I get a CM who took the time to get gues services to transfer the deposit from reservation to reservation...not an easy task I suppose :confused3

Mousemommy, safe trip to ME!

hstickland, thank you for all the beautiful pictures! Looking forward to even more in a few weeks, when you return! You must be getting excited, you will be at WDW before you know it :cool1:

pas, we were fine in the storm last night. I was unbelievable, lot of road in town are closed because of trees down. We were lucky, we didn't lose power!

Kook, welcome to the world of teenage daughters. They are great, but sometimes I just couldn't believe some of what they would say. I got a great piece of advice that sure helped me. Never react to some of the things they say, just smile and don't engage. It frustrates the heck out of them, but they don't have any comeback. Wait until your daughter is a bit older, it's the best!!! Oh, and you know she is going to ask you why your aren't staying at a third resort at some point...she will have "forgotten" she thought is was an silly idea...:confused3

CL is an interesting option. My DH really likes it, however we are at a different stage in life than those of you with kids. Having spent hours over the years in line at Gaspirillas getting breakfast for everyone makes CL breakfast very appealing to him. We can also enjoy a drink and appetizers for a light dinner. He will supplement with a CS sandwich, but I am fine with the appetizers. When my kids were little, it wouldn't have been worth it, fun but not really practical.

Busy week, leaving for CA early Thursday morning. So excited to see my daughter graduate. Because of my illness I haven't been out there 5 years, I haven't even seen her current apt!

Good morning, RCers. :goodvibes Coffee and / or tea for all...

Our room did get serviced. Yay! All is good but that CM could sure use some training!

Totally cool thing happened tonight. Lightning storm so bad the MK went dark. As in you couldnt even see it or like 5 to 10 minutes. Pretty cool to see. Hope everyone is ok!

I'm so glad they came round to service the room. Did things get straightened out with the uncouth, yelling CM hopefully?

MK with no power?! Wow. That must've been super strange.

Good Morning!!!! :yay:

I believe that's the case for exchanging tickets over to APs. Over on the Parks forum, Cheshire Figment would be answer your AP question precisely; he's a guest services / ticketing CM. He was really helpful when I was contemplating doing the same. :goodvibes

Ah, I've missed your photos! Getting some Disney 'Ommmm' in the mornings is where it's at. :goodvibes Where do you get your pretty borders from / what processing software do you like to use, Heather? Is that Lightroom?

....

It's so funny this mention of kids getting hooked on CL. I really wasn't expecting ours to fall in love with it so much last year. Every. single. time. we were either coming or going from our room last year at the BC, she demanded to "check in the lounge for something yummy." She was 4 then and she's already mentioned the lounge for this September's trip.:rotfl: Creating monsters, indeed. :thumbsup2

Questions for all of you crazy folks...

  • From any Disney restaurant anywhere in the parks or resorts, if you could have just one meal sitting in front of you right now, what would it be?
  • If you could have just one Disney drink, what would it be?
  • and lastly but most importantly, which one dessert?

I need y'alls expert help adding to my "Must eat / Drink" list... :thumbsup2

So exciting to see your DD graduate!!! Safe travels. And I just saw that Lulu's Mom is going home to the GF soon..thanks for that update (I missed it..knew her Sept trip was changed...but DUH) Another wonderful lady who deserves some :love:Disney Magic

If only I didn't need 2 rooms the CL would be easier to justify...oh well...more working for Mommy....

Ok I will play....Must drink...Mango Margarita from Pop's Pool bar...if a visit to Pop is way out of the way....Grey Goose Slushie from France (I hope they have those even if it's not F&W)

Dessert...Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich from Main St. Bakery..YUMMY..DH and I had trouble finishing it....and we shared one. Warm toll house and vanilla ice cream YUM :cloud9:

This is too easy!

1- mushroom filet from Le Cellier with potato wedges instead of risotto
2- Lapu Lapu or piña colava
3- banana fosters bread pudding from 'Ohana!

Don't worry sis. The grey goose slushies are regulars at Epcot. You'll be able to get one in August!
