Good news today! We added on one day to our October vacation. Well, actually Delta helped...sometimes their flight changes work in our favor.
I called CRO, and was able to add on a day at our Bounceback rate.

Guess I should sign off here and get busy. As usual, calls.

Nothing like waking up and chatting with y'all...ignoring everything else that I need to be doing today...folding clothes, writing a paper, reading....

So...DD6 informed me last night..."I would prefer to go to the Poly...not the animal place...they have drinks and dessert at the Poly." Then, she walked off. Oh well....

Mousemommy......I thought I got up early! You have me beat!

Jenny....Your trip will be great! No worries! Good idea on adding the 3 night on to a WDW trip. I've never done a Disney cruise, but everyone says they are AWESOME!

Padawans.... on your big discount! I'm not sure why we never buy APs. We only live 5 hours away and seem to go so frequently. Each year I say we're gonna do it but don't.

Cin.... You've come to the right place to decide on a resort, then change your mind a 100 times! I'm probably not the right one to ask about the monorail resorts because I'm so partial...LOVE all of them for different reasons, but really love the monorail...it feels so 'Disney' to me. I'm also a big deluxe person but would stay anywhere if I had to....onsite that is Finding the right resort is super hard! I'm on this mission to try all resorts at least once...needless to say I have a LONG way to go! Good luck with your decision!

Dani...You're welcome! The kids still remember sitting on the patio at night in their PJs and watching Wishes. Those are some of our best memories at Disney LOVE the Poly!!!! The last time we were at Disney, we went over to the Poly and watched Wishes from the beach....was good...but just not the same for us.


Gwynne...Thanks! My dad and I love our cameras....to the point of annoying our family at times Hopefully I'll get some good shots at AKL/Dream to post here. And congrats on your extra day!!!!! Isn't that the best feeling??!!


Mousemommy...you still get up earlier than me...by like 15 minutes I always get up with DH and jump on the computer before the kids wake up and start running around.

At YC CL now. Everything has been great except no daybed. Bummer! No big deal though. Just a warning for those with 5 (or 6 like us) daybeds are NOT guaranteed no metter what the CMs may tell you.

Big news! Got a call from the mgr at the GF. We have been uupgraded to a 2 bedroom suite in RPC (booked std RPC) !!!! I can not wait to check in tomorrow!

Can someone tell me how the daybeds work at BC/YC? We have a party of 5. If they don't give us a daybed, one of my kids won't have a place to sleep?

So here is my big question:
7 day trip planned at the beginning of October. It will be hotter than we normally prefer at WDW so I am planning more pool time than usual. This was the main reason I booked BC as my kids will love SAB. However, now they have added the combined price for the PH and WPM passes. So it would only cost us about $20 more to add a water park day. However, I am worried about fitting everything in. Do we need a water park with SAB? Will the pool be enough? What are your thoughts?

I have used the ap discount. I normally use the interline rate which is available to airline employees. It 40% off all resort levels. Its similar to what travel agents get. The rates come out in July for the following year so I am able to book far in advance. Its a nice perk,but at this point I think I should have bought dvc. I never thought I would make this many trips.

Evening everyone! Today was my first day at work and it went well! I didn't do too much other than return items, ring up items and put stuff away, but it was a nice change of pace! I think I'm going to like it here, but I will wait 'til I work for a few more weeks before I make that decision.

Hi ALL. Sort of new here, not quite to DIS, but definitely to this topic. I thought I was bad with changing ADR's, but picking a resort... o.m.g. I'm trying to plan an anniversary trip for the hubster and myself. He fell in love with the Animal Kingdom Lodge when we dined at Boma, so we are definitely staying there 1 night or more. How do you keep your sanity in all this madness???

I'd say we all happily live with temporary bouts of insanity in the name of . It is a daunting task to pick one. Do what your wallet tells you to do. AKL is a nice choice since you already know hubs want to stay there. I love Values, Mods and Deluxes all the same. So yes, maybe split AKL with something more value conscious. You can't go wrong wherever you pick. Enjoy the planning. Keep us posted.

It means no cruise in Oct. I pushed it back to May. I plan on keeping my Bc reservation on Oct 25. It sets us up well for another great year. Tickets are our biggest expense since we fly free and get the good room discount. I'm excited about this.

She will be going into 9th grade in the fall ....it's just doesn't seem possible. Have been looking at old photos (as my DD's BFF is moving away next weekend, been dealing with that ). Time definitely seems to go much quicker as our kids age.

Went and did some shopping today!!! Got some trip essentials...my gallon ziploc bags that I use to put each individual outfit for each person for each day...yes, I'm that anal. Got ponchos for the girls. (DH and I still use the Disney ones we got 10 years ago, those things are quite durable!!!)
Got small first aid kid, and other misc travel items....it's all going to start accumulating until I get to start packing for real!!!!
