Ok....I proposed a MAJOR change to DH today...
change to POR with free dining (still offered on Canadian Spec. offers)
12 - 20 Sept
20 - 23 Disney Dream 3 night Bahamas cruise
pay the difference to change airfare.....
I am awaiting his return email....but I am not expecting anything positive!!

I don't know why I am doing this...I do love the Poly! Boredom perhaps!!!

At YC CL now. Everything has been great except no daybed. Bummer! No big deal though. Just a warning for those with 5 (or 6 like us) daybeds are NOT guaranteed no metter what the CMs may tell you.

Big news! Got a call from the mgr at the GF. We have been uupgraded to a 2 bedroom suite in RPC (booked std RPC) !!!! I can not wait to check in tomorrow!

Whoa! That would be a major change!!! But, then you would get your cruise fix that you are so obviously craving!!! I think it sounds like a good trip, but your DH loves the Poly...

Evening everyone! Today was my first day at work and it went well! I didn't do too much other than return items, ring up items and put stuff away, but it was a nice change of pace! I think I'm going to like it here, but I will wait 'til I work for a few more weeks before I make that decision.

Hi ALL. Sort of new here, not quite to DIS, but definitely to this topic. I thought I was bad with changing ADR's, but picking a resort... o.m.g. I'm trying to plan an anniversary trip for the hubster and myself. He fell in love with the Animal Kingdom Lodge when we dined at Boma, so we are definitely staying there 1 night or more. That is the easy part. Now I am the problem. I can't decide whether to stay at AKL the entire trip, do a split with the brand spanking new value resort which would be very budget conscious and a smart decision, as we loved our stay at ASMu last time, or go back to POFQ which mom and I stayed in 4 mos ago and absolutely loved!!! or Riverside which was very romantic and like a whole little town all by itself, or go all out and stay at the Yacht Club since EPCOT is the park we will be at the most. Or the Poly since it's my lifelong dream to stay there, or the Contemporary since it has nice rooms, is on the monorail line, and is much more affordable then the POLY will be. We really aren't going to be at the resort that much during the day anyway. DH wants to do the Richard Petty Driving experience and it would be nice to be within walking distance or on the monorail route to get the the TTC easier and faster. Sigh...I'll never be able to book a trip unless I can decide where I want to stay. I am saving and paying for this myself out of my account so I can afford to stay deluxe, even though I know DH would never ever pay that much for a hotel. I should choose a moderate, but what if this is my last trip to WDW ever, I mean one never knows what the future holds and well.... worse, is that I read every review I can find and every website and devour info on WDW resorts like it was going out of style, and so I switch back and forth and back again. How do you keep your sanity in all this madness??? Thanks for letting me vent. Darned Disney why do they have to have so many different and wonderful choices? Eeeny meeny miney moe....

Update: he hasn't said no...only asked how much more it would cost us! I am downplaying a tad bit...but it really isn;t much more than what we have paid already. Question: if you have paid in full does Disney refund your credit card the difference?

Yes, I know this will probably all work out like before, with no changes. I know and I am sorry ladies!! We will see...

I just figured out how to buy annual passes and get almost 500.00 off. I bought non expiration tickets from ut at a big discount, and I'm going to upgrade them to annual passes when we go. It means no cruise in Oct. I pushed it back to May. I plan on keeping my Bc reservation on Oct 25. It sets us up well for another great year. Tickets are our biggest expense since we fly free and get the good room discount. I'm excited about this.

Yes they will refund the difference. I have multiple debits, and credits on my Disney visa every trip. It's crazy. I'm sure MM and Pas can relate.

Awww Jenny...you have an awesome trip planned!!!! Just remember what an amazing time you're going to have. You may not even want any changes, it's just that instinct to do so that keeps you looking.... then again, there is still some time for you yet.

He likes the idea of a short cruise to try it out, and thinks a 3 day is perfect. So I am seeing us add this on to one of our WDW trips next year instead. This is a good thing, as I have somehow changed his mind about a cruise from 2014 to 2013 now. I am crafty and don't even know it!!

I think I have posted so many imaginary changes, if only they would release 2013 WDW rates and dates, I could shift planning mode to that...LOL!

This exactly!!! Anxiously waiting for the rates to come out so I can start planning for April!!! My DFIL has actually said that he trusts I will plan a great vacation, so I'm not even going to let him know where we are staying until I am sure...to protect my changing ways...

Nothing like waking up and chatting with y'all...ignoring everything else that I need to be doing today...folding clothes, writing a paper, reading....

So...DD6 informed me last night..."I would prefer to go to the Poly...not the animal place...they have drinks and dessert at the Poly." Then, she walked off. Oh well....

Padawans.... on your big discount! I'm not sure why we never buy APs. We only live 5 hours away and seem to go so frequently. Each year I say we're gonna do it but don't.

Cin.... You've come to the right place to decide on a resort, then change your mind a 100 times! I'm probably not the right one to ask about the monorail resorts because I'm so partial...LOVE all of them for different reasons, but really love the monorail...it feels so 'Disney' to me. I'm also a big deluxe person but would stay anywhere if I had to....onsite that is Finding the right resort is super hard! I'm on this mission to try all resorts at least once...needless to say I have a LONG way to go! Good luck with your decision!

I got 117.00 off each ticket(paid 2270) after I use them once they are worth the full value(2730). I will end up paying 2536 for my premium annual passes instead of the 2980. That is the same price I paid 2 years ago so I'm not paying any price increase. Unfortunately that was my cruise money. I changed the cruise to the Fantasy in May. We will do a few days before and after cruise. What I love about the AP's is you can do a few days here and there, and not pay the 1100 dollars for the 3 day park hopper which IMO is a ripoff. You should look into the Annual passes. It does save you money in the long run if your going frequently.
