As the Ticker Turns...the neverending saga of the Resort Changers

Yes!

The only thing I haven't touched are our LTT lunch ADR and BOG Dinner ADR. Everything has been moved around at least once.:faint: MDE sometimes makes it a bit too easy.

I just made another ADR change. I mean, it's a good change. It's one I've been stalking but sometimes I drive myself crazy with all my changing. :joker:

I'm feeling a bit bummed. I think we're going to need to board the dog while we are away. On Saturday DH and I are going to go look at a few and then decide. Once we do, the dog has an "interview" with them to see if it's a good match. The few places we've picked out have gotten good reviews, but I'm just a nervous nelly. :rolleyes1

Hope y'all are able to find the best fit your dog! :goodvibes

In other news, we received our luggage tags and official paperwork yesterday. I've already attached it to our bags. One step closer! :goodvibes

:cool1: That means your trip is definitely getting closer!! :cool1:

Ya now that we are at CR in CL I had to change all of our FP+s! Don't want to miss Appies or Desserts:rotfl:

Do you go online and try to change your airline seats? I do that as well:dance3:

I keep moving us as forward as I can and checkin right at the 24 hr point just in case a first class upgrade is available at a reason price.::yes::

I have changed which small carryon I am going to use several times too:rolleyes:

Also had to change out some outfits. Switching from POP or CR atrium club required a few changes;)

:wave2: Happy Tuesday. I really need to get some actual work done if I am going to miss some days next week. See ya

Hmmm.....I never thought about checking to see if I could move up our airlplane seats. :scratchin Oh no....you might have just created some more "change-itis" in me. :rotfl:

So, it's been a stressful summer - lots of drama with DH's family. Luckily, the siblings are getting along better but the frustration toward my ILs is really strong from each child (mostly involving them not honoring boundaries as grandparents). My trip out there was so up and down and I ended up in a yelling match with FIL... just not good. My MIL and FIL are not coping with my nephew's death well (it's been 18 months but they are no where near that far along the grieving process) and their inability to cope is causing strife with the rest of the group. The good thing is my SILs and I have gotten closer and DH and his brother and BIL are closer now... but it's sort of turning into an Us v. Them situation with DH's parents as THEM. I'm just hoping it doesn't come to a head at WDW...

This week has been tiring - I've driven over 1000 miles and toured everywhere from DC to Ocean City to Annapolis - and DD7 and DH took turns with the stomach bug while traveling (always fun!). My BIL and SIL are a little younger than we are so we have to bite our tongue a lot but it's been a good visit, just tiring.

With all that going on, I'm very unsettled about our Sept trip. I keep thinking of doing a split with CR and doing TPV... even though we won't be in the room for fireworks, which seems silly. I just am worried 7 nights at one resort is so long and loved our last split. *sighs* I really just need a few nights to veg and than relook at everything.

Hope everyone is doing well and *HUGS* Missed you all!

So sorry to hear with your IL's. Hope things get better before the big trip! :goodvibes

And I hope those sick by the stomach bug are on the mend & that no one else gets it! pixiedust:

Amanda and Trish, love hearing about all the changes! Amanda, what ADR change did you make? Trish, too funny about the packing list change for CR! I'm sticking to my regular summer packing list - still dresses - even with ASMu, although I'm leaving out a few items that I'd usually pack for signature ADRs. Sue, this crazy detailed packing list (consisting mostly of dresses, if not Alaska, MNSSHP or a runDisney event) is part of the reason for the light packing. Not so sure it would get me through a whole month, though, so your story is a little different!

So no changes here, but an addition! It's our on-the-way-to-the-airport-from-the-beach routine. It's Easter weekend. (Again, eek!) And it's . . . VWL! So excited to be returning to WL and we think it's a perfect resort-only choice. Our affordable Easter weekend options are more limited when our entire family of five travels together, and my husband will be with us for this stay, so I was thrilled to see that VWL now sleeps 5 in a deluxe studio. WL is one of his favorites (or "most tolerated" would probably be more accurate) so I think this reservation is a keeper!

My mil and FIL stayed with us some summers. It was just too hard. The kids would go into the kitchen, take a cookie and eat it right in front of mil or FIL. Kids assume all grown ups are in charge and when they didn't yell at them it was ok. That meant I had to super watch them constantly. Um who can do that????

Well 45 days is getting closer!!! I think you know how I feel about cr TPV.

Actually I love my morning coffee on the balcony listening to the magic kingdom wake up:cloud9:

Dd and I have next week together then goes to college 8/25. Ds has cross county practices starting 8-18 and school 9/3. How is my baby a senior????

Dh and I have been spending the weekends on the boat:thumbsup2 starting to get practice for our soon empty nest.

Very exciting switch!!! :cool1: Glad you all finally found what you were hoping for! :goodvibes

After talking to the friend I used to work with today, unless you know the person really, really well, you might be better boarding them. She has two friends that live in her subdivision that were friends with each other. Friend #1 had a German Sheppard that was her child. She walked her often and babied her big time. She let Friend #2, who's son used to attend my friend's in home day care. Well when Friend #1 got back from vacation, her German Sheppard was dead. Friend #2 came up with excuse after excuse, but after an autopsy they found out they dog died of dehydration.

Well, I'm almost done with my friend's scarf. Then I have to make mine and both our hats. I keep finding more and more t-shirt ideas that I want to make.
WOW! That saddens me greatly! :sad2: I would have been SOOOO upset. Yeah, I think it'll be OK at the boarding facility. People have given some of them rave reviews so I'm hoping they're as good as their ratings are.

Love the "most tolerated" comment! My dh will only stay deluxe and a king vs queen bed is preferred. He loves BLT and VGF and will not stay at "that dark place" aka WL.:rotfl:

My ds loves WL yet we have only stayed there once. I do take the boat from cr often or we take the bus from a park to WL, explore then take the boat to cr and hop on mono to our current resort.

We have done a lot of Easter 3day tack ons after visits IL's:thumbsup2

A cheaper way to get our fix:rolleyes1

I really like the Latin sentiment in your signature and your positive thinking, Ginny. Be strong for DH and feel free to be less strong with us:grouphug:
