Hello all! Well, I'm ending up at the AS Sports - not my first, second, or even third choice, but it's what I could get with my discount code. It'll be fine - heck, I'll hardly ever be there!

Anyhow, could I get a recommendation on what building to stay in? Quietness is my primary issue as noise affects my sleep. Any suggestions? Also, what is the bus info on this resort - does it have it's own or does it share with the other AS's?

Thanks in advance!

Where did you find your discount code? We are looking in March, too and probably are going to stay there!

We'll be there one night in Dec., not my first choice either but we're only going 1 night to attend the MVMCP so we'll only be there to sleep. We've stayed there before and it's not bad. I would ask for one of the outlying buildings if you are looking for quiet. The bus usually also goes to AS Music and Movies, it depends on how crowded it is. The good thing is it stops at Sports first picking up and dropping off.

AS Sports really isn't bad at all- we have stayed there plenty of times. I would ask for a room in the touchdown or hoops buildings if you want to be away from the noise. Yes this resort does share busses with the other 2 All Star resorts but they run really efficient. It may be crowded at times but good luck!!

First off, I'd like to say I've seen this post many times--people saying they are staying at Sports because they couldn't get anything else, and as a fan of Sports, I'm happy to say there are always alot of very positive replies regarding this resort. So to the OP, don't be disappointed about having to stay at Sports. In regards to the other question OP asked, where would be the quietest, in August we were in Bldg 3 (I believe). It was the "Hoops" section. We were in the back and it was EXTREMELY quiet. Didn't hear and hardly saw any guests over there. I would definitely stay away from the baseball building. I've never stayed there, but we used the pool there one night, it was very loud, there was music and the bright themed stadium lights. Fun to enjoy around the pool but I don't know how it would be with your room right there! My guess is Hoops or the tennis buildings would be the quietest. And we didn't find Hoops to be a far walk to the main building. Have fun!

I would say that the one building you should not stay in to avoid noise is the Touchdown, because they have a football field inbetween them often at night there are people who are playing on it, and they are never quiet about, and also seem to forget that they are not the only one's there and what time it is. Unfortunatly, that means you have to stay back from the front and have a small walk to get to the buses. But for me, I don't mind.

I also agree w/ one of the pp and say AS Sports is not bad at all... Your going to have a great time... Its actually pretty cool... Anywho.. back to your question; I have read and agree that Hoops is one of the quietest rooms to get... Also, just to point out..The shuttle buses pick up and drop off at the all stars in order, sports being number one!!!

I also have never stayed at Sports and need to know which building. Going on this trip is Myself, DM, DS12, DD10. Now we would like to be able to sleep at night :lmao: , but also don't want to be too far from the action for the kids. My DS LOVES football and baseball... he will probably be all over that football field!! Which building would you recommend? We could bring the sound machine with us if we need to block out some of the noise in order for the kids to make the most of it!! :thumbsup2

Thank you everyone for your comments! I'm so looking forward to my trip. I'll be there Solo on Dec.7-16th - my fav time of year to come. I'll look into staying in the Hoops building. Thanks again for your comments.

Like you, we had to stay at All Star Sports cause of the code we got. I was not real happy about it, I wanted POP. We stayed in the tennis buildings, in the back, (I think maybe the 7 or 8's). It was very quiet, there was a little bit of a walk to the food courts and main pool, but not bad. I think it took 5 minutes to walk to the bus stop.
Also, they were refurbishing a bunch of the rooms when we were there (Oct 5-15) in those buildings, everything was so clean and nice!

We were just there the end of Sept and they were refurbishing the Tennis 5 building. New everything. I know they have done other areas and Surfs up I believe is also redone.

We stayed in the backside of the baseball section. It was very quiet there. Not too far a walk to the bus stop and food court. We too were disappointed we had to stay here. But I can honestly say we were very surprised on how much we enjoyed ourselves. Out of the resorts we stayed at my son still thinks this was the most fun, and aren't sports people at all. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again at a great bargain.:thumbsup2

We have stayed at ASSports many times. It is one of our favorite resorts. The buildings we have found to be more quiet are Tennis, Hoops and the outer rooms of Baseball and Surfs Up. Also important to the equation of quietness is which floor you are on. If you are on the first or second floor you will definitely hear the people above you if: 1. They are noisy in their room and/or 2. They like to run on the walk way. Plus, you will hear the mousekeeping cart "rumble" down walk ways. We have attended with many small children and always request the third floor. Once we went with my brother and his family. We tried to get them request the third floor, but they insisted on first floor. The next morning I went get them for breakfast and they were gone. They moved during the night due to people noise and a cricket behind the headboard. Now they always request the top floor at Values and Moderates! Less likely of having critters when you are off the ground floor! I hope this helps.
